The Constructive Conflict | SEL Daily Openers/Bellringers and Activity This is a comprehensive teaching tool that is apt for all educators – those in the public school sector as well as homeschooling environments. It is designed for students from grade 3 to grade 6 and serves to facilitate Social Emotional Learning (SEL) , enhance life skills, and improve social skills. The Constructive Conflict resources revolve around the pivotal aspect of relationship skills with a distinct focus on resolving conflicts constructively. Bringing this crucial skill set into regular classroom discussions helps bolster mental health awareness among young learners. You engage your pupils at the beginning of each period through activities that take roughly ten minutes while illustrating key points via teacher slides displayed on the chalkboard or digital board. An accompanying student handbook makes these exercises effortless – they require no preparation at all! An hour weekly is dedicated specifically to an SEL lesson relevant to these daily activities imparted over various subjects throughout the week- not random lessons but organized ones focusing on a singular subject path each week. How does it work? A day might be spent exploring diverse aspects of teamwork; another empowering students with knowledge about forming healthy relationships and resisting negative influences; Sessions might also be dedicated to practical communication techniques or leadership traits particularly in team gatherings; Each session format cleverly leaves room for mental health check-ups, helping teachers gauge how effectively their wards are grasping concepts. The value extends beyond just everyday functions, through incorporating overarching weekly assignments wherein students practice their understanding about balanced grievance redressal. Teachers benefit greatly from this resource owing to its customizability - tweak it according to your classroom and teaching style! No corners are cut when it comes to ensuring maximum comprehension and comfort for teachers and students alike.
