The words included in this set are: ~CARING ~CITIZENSHIP ~FAIRNESS ~RESPECT ~RESPONSIBILITY ~TRUSTWORTHINESS Acrostic poems can be a great way for students to demonstrate their knowledge on a subject. Discuss the trait with students, brainstorming some words and phrases that could go along with each of the letters. Students can get colorful and creative with their final product! All 6 are in black and white and in color. PRINTING NOTE: You may need to choose color on your printer when printing the black and white words, if you want your students to color the letters in. Stuart Little Activity Compare Characters
ELA, Literature, Grade 2, 3, 4, Activities
This product has students comparing characters in the novel Stuart Little, by E. B. White. In this activity, students are given Venn Diagrams. A Venn Diagram is a great visual graphic organizer for students. It allows them to compare and contrast two characters from the novel. The worksheets have lines in the circles to help the students write clearly, as well as fill up the space in the circles. There's enough room for students to write the similarities in the middle, and the differences on the outside. The worksheets already list the names of the characters being compared. They are George/Stuart, Stuart/Snowbell, Stuart/Harriet, and Margalo/Snowbell. This novel is usually read by 2nd through 4th graders. You could have these be filled out throughout the reading, or you could have it be an activity after finishing the book. Students could complete these on their own, or you could have them work in small groups. You can encourage your students to not only write a single word in each space, but rather a phrase. For example, for Stuart and Harriet, instead of just writing 'small' in the center section, they could write 'both are the same size.'

Notable Canadians: List of Diverse Changemakers for Research Projects
Social Studies, History, History: Canada, Research, Grade 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, Activities, Projects
Notable Canadians: Beyond Terry Fox (but he's here too, of course!) Here is a diverse list of 26 Canadian Changemakers for your students to research and present to each other. The list includes athletes, artists, writers, politicians. scientists, and entrepreneurs. I tried to make it as diverse as possible with Indigenous Peoples, Black Canadians, Asian-Canadians, LGBTQ members, and both current and historical figures. How to Use: This list could be a great supplement to a biography unit. It would work well in the beginning of the year when talking about Terry Fox. Allow your students to each choose one Canadian from the list to complete a research project about. They could present their findings in many ways: a written biography with paragraphs about early life, careers, and accomplishments; a PowerPoint Presentation; a pamphlet or poster; a podcast; a video; or more! Grades to Use With: This list could support research projects in many grades in the middle years in Canadian classrooms! 1) Kenojuak Ashevak: ______________________________ 2) Donovan Bailey : _________________________________ 3) Peter Bryce : ___________________________________ 4) Nadine Caron : __________________________________ 5) Viola Desmond : _________________________________ 6) Tommy Douglas : ________________________________ 7) Gord Downie : ___________________________________ 8) Terry Fox: _____________________________________ 9) Chris Hadfield : __________________________________ 10) Louie Kamookak : ________________________________ 11) Rupi Kaur : ______________________________________ 12) Joy Kogawa: ____________________________________ 13) Dan Levy : _____________________________________ 14) Agnes Macphail : ________________________________ 15) Sarah McLachlan : ______________________________ 16) Norval Morrisseau : ______________________________ 17) Daphne Odjig: ___________________________________ 18) Sandra Oh : ____________________________________ 19) Willie O’Ree : ___________________________________ 20) Elliot Page : ___________________________________ 21) Michele Romanow : ______________________________ 22) Harjit Sajjan : _________________________________ 23) Christine Sinclair : ______________________________ 24) David Suzuki: ___________________________________ 25) Tanya Talaga : _________________________________ 26)I rene Uchida : ____________________________________ If you enjoy this Canadian content, check out other options in my store: Types of Investment Accounts in Canada Financial Literacy: Income Tax
