“I Have, Who Has?” – Number Words Game (Christmas Version)

“I Have, Who Has?” – Number Words Game (Christmas Version)
Holiday & Seasonal, Language Development, ELA, Special Resources, Special Education Needs (SEN), Math, Early Math, Numbers, Holidays, Christmas, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Activities, Games, Worksheets & Printables, Task Cards, Quizzes and Tests, Teacher Tools, Projects, Flashcards, Centers

“I Have, Who Has?” – Number Words Game (Christmas Version) In my early elementary classes, I’ve often found that the weeks before winter break call for simple, low-pressure activities that still support learning. That’s why I’ve used this number word version of “I Have, Who Has?” so many times—especially with students who are still building confidence in recognizing numbers and reading number words. The game includes number ranges from 0 to 30, so it’s easy to adapt. For some groups, I only use 0 to 10. For others, I include more cards depending on how comfortable they are with the vocabulary. I’ve even used this as a listening activity in small ESL groups, because it gives students repeated exposure to spoken and written number words in a playful format. There’s also a version with syllable breaks, which helps a lot with early readers or children working on pronunciation. The way we usually play it is simple. Each student receives one or more cards, and the round begins when someone says, “I have one. Who has six?” The game continues until all cards have been played. It takes a few minutes for students to get used to the rhythm, but after that, they’re fully focused and often ask to play another round. It also works well when we play in a circle or in smaller groups during center time. What I like most about this game is that it helps students hear, read, and say numbers in context, without needing worksheets or flashcards. I’ve printed my sets on colored paper to help keep different levels organized, and I keep them in envelopes for easy access year after year. The prep is quick, and it fits easily into a short block of time—whether it’s a transition, a review session, or just something calm to end the day. 📍 Happy teaching, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? The pages are clean and easy to read, with pastel Christmas graphics. Instructions are short, simple, and friendly for ESL learners. You can use this resource during the week before winter break, for centers, early finishers, or as a fun class activity. Transition Element Flashcards – Chemistry Symbol and Name Matching Set

Transition Element Flashcards – Chemistry Symbol and Name Matching Set

Transition & Inner‑Transition Elements Flashcards – Chemistry Symbol and Name Matching Set Holiday Theme: Christmas This is a printable flashcard set I’ve used in chemistry classes, mostly with upper secondary students. The cards focus on the transition and inner transition elements. So we’re talking about the d-block and f-block – the ones students often find harder to remember, especially when they all start sounding similar. I usually bring this out in December when we’re still covering content but everyone’s a bit tired and ready for a change of pace. The cards have either the element’s name or its symbol. Students have to match the two, and they can do that in pairs or small groups. It works like a memory game or just a straight matching activity, depending on how much time we have. Some years I use the cards just for review, other times we build sorting activities around them. Like dividing the metals into transition, lanthanides and actinides. It depends on the group. Advanced students sometimes add a use or a property for each element as they go, which makes it more of a challenge. There are a lot of cards – over 250 – but I don’t always use them all. You can just print the ones you need. I usually go with thicker paper or cardstock, and if I have time, I laminate them so they last. Once cut, I keep them in envelopes and reuse them next year. The design has a winter look – nothing too bright or distracting, just something that makes it feel a bit more seasonal without being silly. I’ve found it helpful for lessons when you still want students to work with real content, but in a way that feels relaxed. Especially useful before the holidays or at the end of a topic on metals. Everything’s in the file – all cards and a short page with tips. It’s been a helpful tool in my December lessons. 📍 Happy teaching, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? Christmas is a special time of the year. Many families decorate the Christmas tree, bake Christmas cookies and celebrate the real meaning of this special holiday. With a sweet story and sing-along songs , young children will learn about: The angel Gabriel telling Mary she is going to have a baby; why Mary and Joseph needed to return to Bethlehem; the humble birth of Jesus in a stable; the angels who told the shepherds the good news; and, the wise men who followed the star to bring Jesus gifts. Children will also sing along to Christmas classics and hymns to honor and celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Printable Chemistry Pennants – Christmas Classroom Decor I made this banner because I wanted something simple to hang in my classroom during the weeks before the holidays — something that looked nice but still connected to chemistry. These are small triangle flags, each showing one element from the main group, with symbol, name, and atomic number. The design has a bit of a holiday touch but it’s not loud or silly, so it works even if you don’t go all-in on Christmas decorations. What I like about it is that I can just print it, cut it out, and hang it up, and it brings colour to the room without much effort. The students walk past it every day, and after a while they start to recognise elements just from seeing them over and over again. It’s not a big thing, but I’ve noticed that small exposures like that can really help, especially for the students who don’t memorize things easily. I printed mine on heavier paper and used some string and tape to hang it across the whiteboard. One year I laminated them so I could use them again the next time, and they held up really well. You can hang them in a line, in clusters, or just tape them to cabinets or doors — whatever fits your classroom. Sometimes I also use them as a starting point. I might ask a student to pick one element from the banner and tell me something about it, or we do a quick warm-up based on the symbols they see. But most of the time, it’s just there, and that’s enough. It makes the space feel less grey in December, and still keeps the focus on science. It’s nothing complicated — just a printable you can use when you want something useful and a little seasonal. 📍 Happy teaching, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? Glitter Backgrounds – 12 Sparkling Designs for Worksheets, Slides, and Classroom Projects to Brighten Your Classroom Materials ✨ PNG + PDF + TIFF Over the years, I’ve found that even small visual changes can make a big difference when it comes to engaging students—especially with worksheets, bulletin boards, or presentations. That’s exactly why I created these glitter backgrounds. They add a little sparkle and visual interest without being too overwhelming or distracting. Sometimes it’s the background that helps set the mood for a lesson. In this set, you’ll find 12 glitter-style backgrounds, each in A4 format. I designed them using Procreate, and they’re available in three file types: PNG, PDF, and TIFF. That way, you can choose what works best for you—whether you're creating something for print or a digital format like Canva, PowerPoint, or Google Slides. What’s included: – 12 different glitter backgrounds (A4 size) – File formats: PNG (with transparency), PDF (ready to print), TIFF (high resolution) I’ve used these backgrounds in lots of different ways: as worksheet templates, as digital covers in GoodNotes, and even as backing pages for student booklets. Around the holidays, students love anything that sparkles—so I’ve used them for reflection prompts in December, festive games, or classroom posters. They’re also a nice way to elevate things like certificates, behavior charts, or project templates. The designs are colorful and textured, but still neutral enough to use across different subjects and age groups. A note on usage: You're welcome to use these backgrounds in your own classroom or in materials you create for your students. You can also use them in educational resources you plan to share or sell—just make sure your own content is clearly visible and that you credit my store or website when doing so. Wishing you lots of creative ideas and sparkly results! – Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? Chemistry Element Symbol Game – Visual Matching Cards (Christmas Theme) This is a chemistry card game I’ve used in class when we need something more hands-on but still connected to what we’re learning. It works kind of like “Dobble” or “Spot it!”, where you have to find the symbol that two cards have in common. In this case, the cards show element symbols from the first 31 main group elements. No names, just symbols – so it only works if students already know some of them. I usually bring this out in December, when the mood in class is a bit more relaxed but we’re still doing chemistry. The game moves quickly, and students enjoy it once they understand the rules. It doesn’t need any extra materials beyond the cards. Just print them, cut them out, and you’re good to go. There are 93 cards in total, with the same content but in three different shapes: round, square, and hexagon. I printed the square version because it’s easiest to cut, but the round cards look nice too. If you want to keep them for next year, laminating helps. I use it as a warm-up or at a station, sometimes even as a competition in small groups. The best part is that students have to look closely at the symbols and make quick decisions. It really helps with recognition. Some classes get quite into it, and others play more calmly – both work. You can also combine it with coloring beforehand. For example, color all Group 1 elements the same – that makes sorting and grouping easier later. It’s not a complex game, but it keeps the focus on the element symbols without turning it into a test. That’s what I wanted when I made it – something simple that still helps them practise. All the cards are included in the file, plus a short page with how to use them. 📍 Happy teaching, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? 67 Meme Winter Christmas Solving One Step Equations Pixel Art

67 Meme Winter Christmas Solving One Step Equations Pixel Art
Math, Holiday & Seasonal, Holidays, Christmas, Winter, Seasons, Algebra, Grade 5, 6, 7, 8, Worksheets & Printables, Activities

If "67" has taken over your classroom talk, now is the perfect opportunity to turn it into something useful. This Christmas one step equation pixel art task is riding off the back of the viral trend "67" and giving it a purposeful spin. Rather than seeing a math problem pop up, students see a task with an end goal, something they are curious about completing right away. Students complete twenty equations with one-step solutions for both positive and negative integers. The exercises involve all basic arithmetic operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division so that the pupils get excellent practice without overwhelming them. Every time the child gives the correct answer to the equation, a part of a puzzle with a winter scenery will be revealed to the child, and in the end, the well-known number 67 will be visible in winter colors. The digital version is completely self-checking, providing immediate feedback to the student as they complete questions. Incorrect math problems will not be revealed by the picture, prompting the student to take another look and complete the problem again. I find this feature to give the student instant feedback and to give you time to assist other students as they complete independent practice activities. To offer further flexibility, printable versions are provided as choices. These same twenty equations can be found in a worksheet form, making it simple to assign for homework or in-class work without technology. You will also see a complete toolbox of printable task cards, great for centers, group work, or a scuttlebutt rotation. A complete answer key is provided for easy assessment or review by students. This activity is perfect when done in December, when children tend to be especially energetic and have a hard time sitting still. It’s exciting enough to be seasonal and entertaining, yet formalized enough to provide actual value in improving their expertise. It’s also a great go-to activity in case of an emergency sub plan with no prep work involved. The skills that have been reinforced are the following: performing operations on one-step equations involving all four operations and developing fluency with positive and negative integers. Students are getting repetition without boredom and feedback without frustration. If you want to bring a little bit of Christmas spirit into the mathematics portion of your day while still focusing on the teaching and the learning, the Winter 67 Pixel Art provides the perfect remedy. This is easy to assign and administer, and it is impossible to ignore, in the best possible way.

Chemical elements Christmas Ornaments – Printable Templates for December Science Lessons This printable resource includes black-and-white templates for all 118 elements of the periodic table. Each template shows the element’s name and symbol and can be printed for students to personalize. The activity is intended for the winter season, especially around December, when students are often busy but still benefit from focused, creative work. Students can decorate the element templates with color or drawings and, depending on the level, add simple facts or uses of the element. Some teachers use the finished pieces for a classroom display—on walls, windows, or doors. Others fold them into 3D shapes and hang them from the ceiling or around a subject-themed tree. Instructions for both 2D and foldable 3D formats are included, though the actual designs stay simple so that students can focus on content. No special materials are required beyond paper, scissors, and some colors. The templates work well with different age groups, from basic recognition in younger grades to research tasks for older students. Many classes use the templates as a seasonal wrap-up to a unit on atomic structure or chemical elements. It helps students to slow down while still staying connected to subject material. The repetitive visual exposure to symbols and element names supports retention, especially when students walk past the display each day. This activity is flexible enough to be used as a quiet individual task, a group effort, or part of a themed science week. Teachers can adapt the number of elements, the complexity of the task, and the way the results are shared. Included are 118 element cards, printing instructions, and some simple ideas for using the resource in class. It can be a nice way to connect content with classroom atmosphere during the last weeks of term. Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? In this precious rhyming story, a little boy reflects on spending Christmas each year with his Grandma. From making decorations together for the Christmas tree, to drinking hot chocolate and staying up late talking by the fireplace; the little boy and his Grandma make sweet memories. When it’s time to leave, and Grandma becomes teary-eyed, the little boy ensures her that she’s the best part of Christmas. “So whenever my face feels the first flakes of snow, wherever I am, it’s to Grandma’s I go. Where it’s always been Christmas, and always will be, for Christmas at Grandma’s is Christmas to me.”

67 Meme Winter Order of Operations Pixel Art

67 Meme Winter Order of Operations Pixel Art
Math, Holiday & Seasonal, Holidays, Christmas, Winter, Seasons, Geometry, Graphing, Grade 5, 6, 7, 8, Worksheets & Printables, Activities

If your kids just won’t stop talking about “67,” you might as well find a use for it. This winter-themed pixel art math center involving the order of operations takes the 67 fixation and turns it into something even better than just solving for 67: something the kids will really care to see the answer to. The concept is easy and fun. Students can complete twenty order of operations problems, which involve the use of parentheses but no exponentials. This is just the activity for reinforcing the concept. A correct answer reveals the next piece of a hidden winter scene. As the image develops, the characteristic number 67 is exposed in winter colors. This assignment is completely digital and automatically Self-Checking. Students get immediate feedback this way. If the student puts an incorrect answer down, the image will not reveal their mistake and will encourage the student to look at what they have done and try again. Your assignment will teach the student to not ask how their work looks or whether or not something is right. For an element of flexibility, printable versions have been included too. These same twenty problems can be accessed as a worksheet, so assigning these to be completed as homework is easy. There is also a complete set of math problem cards that are printable. These math problem cards are excellent to be used when engaging in math centers or scoot. Whatever way of teaching you choose to utilize, whether digital, physically, or a combination of these, this resource will go smoothly. There is also a complete answer key. This activity is particularly well-suited for December and January, when students' attention and motivational levels may be low. This activity is engaging for note-taking, organized for review days, and safe to keep on hand for emergency substitute teaching. Also, because everything is already established, little to no prep is required. Just pass out the link, and students can dive right in. No locks need to be set up, no clues need to be placed, and no sign-ins to a website are necessary. Everything happens entirely on line. Skills taught are evaluating multi-step expressions, using the order of operations when there are parentheses, and learning to compute precisely in a low-stakes, high-interest manner. If you are looking to capture the 67 trend with your class while building key math concepts, this pixel art activity this winter season offers exactly what you are looking for: a perfect combination of rigor, fun, and simplicity. Your class will be enthralled, and you will have an excellent, no-prep teaching tool to use all year long.

Students navigate the maze, encountering branches and cul-de-sacs that build attention and planning. Most pages include a tiny follow-up box—students draw or label 2–3 target words from a small word box, add a quick count, or color in the scene—so the activity reinforces both content and skills in a highly engaging format. Each completed set includes: A themed maze page. A simple student instruction strip. An answer key showing the solved path for teacher support or self-checking Themes Included These mazes cover a wide range of fun, age-appropriate themes, including: Seasons & Holidays (e.g., Halloween, Easter, Valentine’s Day) Math-Lite Connections (e.g., quick counts, number words) Everyday Topics (e.g., Animals, Weather, School) Special Units (e.g., Health, Earth Day, Sports, Kindness) Each topic reflects students’ real-life experiences and interests while strengthening problem-solving, visual scanning, and fine-motor control in a playful, highly visual way. Easy extensions (optional): Time it: solve once in pencil, then try to beat the time in pen Retell the route using sequence words (first, next, then, finally) Count intersections or turns and graph the results Write a 1–2 sentence mini-story about the scene using the target words Design a tiny maze in the corner for a partner to solve Differentiation tips: Offer a finger-trace pass before pencils for emerging learners Highlight the borders of the correct region on first attempts Use thicker-line versions or simpler pages to build confidence Pair roles: “navigator” gives directions; “driver” traces the path For similar downloads and other frees, do check out Cored Group on TeachSimple.

Bingo Game- Multiplication Tables 0,1,2,5, and 10-Christmas Sweaters

Bingo Game- Multiplication Tables 0,1,2,5, and 10-Christmas Sweaters
Math, Multiplication and Division, Multiplication, Holiday & Seasonal, Holidays, Christmas, Homeschool Curriculum, Grade 2, 3, Activities, Games

What a fun-filled way to review the tables for beginners working on 0,1,2,5,and 10 tables. This Christmas- themed game provides practice to build fluency in multiplying as described in CCSS. Math Content 3.NBT.A.3. Since it is limited to 0,1,2,5, and 10, it makes a good introductory to 3rd or the end of 2nd grade. You can run the cards off on cardstock, cut to size, and laminate them for a permanent game solution. You can also run them off on paper and have the students cross off the answer as they solve the problems. The game can be played by small groups at a center. I included blanks that students can use to create questions and boards. Based on your allowed time, you can play five in a row, just the corners, or cover the whole board. Since all of the possible combinations of multiplication problems are provided, there will be duplication of answers. I spread the calling cards out and as soon as I see an answer that will have duplicates ( for example the number 12), I remove duplicates as I come to them. Another way to handle this issue is to remove ahead or pick and choose groups of tables you want to concentrate your efforts on. Contents 40 Bingo Cards 40 Calling Cards 4 Blank Bingo Cards Sheet of 25 Blank Calling Cards
