Halloween Domino Game – Numbers 0–30 and Number Words

Halloween Domino Game – Numbers 0–30 and Number Words
Holiday & Seasonal, Language Development, ELA, Special Resources, Special Education Needs (SEN), Halloween, Holidays, Math, Early Math, Numbers, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Activities, Games, Worksheets & Printables, Task Cards, Quizzes and Tests, Teacher Tools, Quizzes, Projects, Flashcards

Halloween Domino Game – Numbers 0–30 and Number Words This Halloween domino set offers a seasonal way to practice both numbers and number words from 0 to 30. I started using it in October with my first graders, who were learning to connect written words with digits, and it quickly became a classroom favorite. The familiar domino format makes the rules easy to understand, so students can begin playing right away with very little explanation. The resource includes two full sets of domino cards, 68 pieces in total. The first set shows the standard number and number word pairings. The second set is designed with syllable-style breaks to support early readers who are still developing confidence with longer words. I have found that this version works well for students who struggle with spelling or for English language learners who need extra support with pronunciation. You can choose between different ranges depending on your group: 0–10 for beginners, 0–20 for more practice, or the full 0–30 for advanced learners. Having these options makes it easy to differentiate without preparing separate materials. In my classroom, the dominoes have been used in math centers, during small group rotations, and even spread out on the floor in the hallway for a more active lesson. Students enjoy the movement of placing down cards, and it gives them a sense of progress as the chain grows longer. The game also encourages collaboration, since they need to watch what others are playing and wait for their turn. Prep is straightforward: print the cards, cut them, and laminate if you plan to reuse them. Once the set is ready, it can be stored in a small box or envelope for quick access. This game is most useful in kindergarten and grade 1, but it can also serve as extra practice for students in grade 2 who need reinforcement with number words. It combines literacy and math in a simple activity that brings a little Halloween atmosphere into the lesson while staying focused on learning. Warm regards, Lernfitness Did You Know? Halloween Alphabet Matching Game – Spot It Style Cards Early Literacy

Halloween Alphabet Matching Game – Spot It Style Cards Early Literacy
Holiday & Seasonal, ESL, Language Development, ELA, Special Resources, Special Education Needs (SEN), Halloween, Holidays, Children’s Literature, Literature, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Activities, Games, Worksheets & Printables, Task Cards, Quizzes and Tests, Teacher Tools, Quizzes, Projects, Flashcards, Word Problems

Halloween Alphabet Matching Game – Spot It Style Cards for Early Literacy This Halloween card set is based on the familiar “ Spot It” style game but adapted for alphabet and early literacy practice. I like to bring it out in late October when my class is full of energy but still needs structured learning. The mix of playful competition and letter recognition makes it a good fit for both Pre-K and early elementary groups. The set includes 93 cards in total, arranged as three complete decks with 31 cards each. Every card shows six different Halloween-themed pictures. The fun part is that any two cards always share exactly one picture in common. Students race to find the match between their card and the one in the center pile. Whoever names it first keeps the card. The round continues until the stack is finished, and the player with the most cards wins. There are three versions of the cards: round, square, and hexagonal. I usually print one full set, laminate it, and keep it in a small box for the season. The round cards feel most like the original game, while the square version is quicker to cut. The hexagons are eye-catching and add variety. In my kindergarten group, this game helped students practice quick recognition of letters and pictures. It also encouraged turn-taking and teamwork. For ESL learners, the visual clues and repeated naming of pictures gave extra support with vocabulary. Some of my students even started making up their own rules, such as timed rounds or team challenges, which kept the activity fresh. The game works well in literacy centers, as a short brain break, or as an activity for early finishers. It requires very little preparation beyond printing and cutting. Because it is flexible in design, you can use just part of the deck if you want a shorter game. This resource is best suited for preschool, kindergarten, and grade 1, but I have also seen older students enjoy it simply as a seasonal challenge. It is a playful way to bring some Halloween atmosphere into the classroom without losing the focus on learning. Warm regards, Lernfitness Did You Know? Build a Skeleton Halloween Craft Project

Build a Skeleton Halloween Craft Project
Holiday & Seasonal, Holidays, Halloween, Grade 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, Crafts, Activities

This is a Build a Skeleton Halloween Craft . You can customize the ribs of the skeleton with your student's name or use the general "normal rib" template included. This file comes as a PDF with a link to a Google Drive link which you can use to type your students name on the ribs of the skeleton as shown in pictures. You can also use the general "normal ribs" template provided. It can be split into 2-3 lessons in your science class or for Halloween Craft /Project. Step-by-step directions are provided. Everything you need to print to create this life-sized skeleton is included! Notes for Teachers Students will need some direction to get started, to get started teacher will need to explain how to glue the parts together and model a couple of pieces so students can independently complete the skeleton. The Skeleton Diagram on slide 3 can be displayed for the whole class or printed out for students to see as a reference. I printed out 3-5 copies for students to use if they needed a copy. Not all students needed it. Note there are two skeleton heads; the main difference is the mouth. Either one can be used for the skeleton, both options can be printed for students to choose from one one style can be printed for the whole class. This activity requires a lot of cutting, it is recommended to split it up in 2-3 sessions. I printed and stapled all of the pages and gave it to students as a packet. Students tore off one page from the packet at a time and cut out the bones, this helped keep all pages together, avoid students from loosing or mixing up their pages. If you are splitting this activity up in 2-3 parts, it will be helpful for students to have a folder or place to put their work in until the next lesson so parts don’t go missing. Once students start gluing, remind them to only glue where they see the gray circles with the glue stick picture. #skeletoncraft #halloweencraft #buildaskeleton

Bring on the Thanksgiving Color by Number fun, where crayons meet comedy! These five pages are packed with festive designs like turkeys who forgot it’s November, pumpkins vying for pie stardom, and a cornucopia so full it’s practically saying, “Don’t judge me, it’s the holidays.” Each section is labeled with a number, and each number matches a color, simple, right? Unless you’re that one kid who insists on making the turkey purple because, and I quote, “It’s my artistic vision.” And honestly, who are we to argue? As your students work through these pages, they’ll unveil cheerful Thanksgiving scenes without even realizing they’re practicing focus and color-matching skills. It’s educational, but let’s keep that between us, no need to ruin the fun with big words. Whether it’s coloring a pumpkin the perfect shade of orange or accidentally turning a pie into an unintentional masterpiece, these pages are guaranteed to deliver laughs and creativity. No stress, no prep, and no arguments over who gets the last crayon. Just good old-fashioned fun—well, as old-fashioned as numbered coloring can get. So, grab your art supplies, and let’s make this Thanksgiving more colorful than Uncle Bob’s questionable holiday sweater. Enjoy!
