Kids learn what it means to help others and become Everyday Superheroes. Everyday Superheroes are people that look for ways to be helpful, kind, loving, respectful, and try to make a difference in the world. Kids are given practical examples on how to be an Everyday Superhero like helping a neighbor shovel their driveway after it snows, cleaning up without being asked, and asking friends to “join in” when playing a game. Kids will learn about manners in the song Say “Please” and “Thank You!” and learn the concept of volunteering. Then, in an enchanting story about Mermaids, young listeners will learn a valuable lesson about diversity and acceptance. Stories and songs are a great way to teach children about what it means to help others and become Everyday Superheroes.

Students will apply listening and note-taking skills, investigate different species of penguins, compare & contrast, make inferences and connections, learn and apply new vocabulary, identify and gain information using text and graphic features, answer questions that require them to think beyond the text, and so much more!
