It is beneficial for us to find out what they know, so we can properly serve them moving forward. this is why formative assessments are so important. We administer formative assessments at the start of the year, the middle of the school year, and at the end of the school year. This is a Kindergarten Formative Assessment that can be utilized at any time you need to administer benchmark assessments or collect data on a particular student. This assessment comes in an editable PowerPoint with 16 slides. The skills included are: --Uppercase and lowercase letters. Students will use the primary writing lines to write a single letter on each line. --Numbers. Students will use the primary writing lines to write a single number on each line. There is enough space for students to write numbers 1 – 20. --Uppercase Letter Recognition. Students will look at each letter (with letters out of order) and name the letter.
