SK Blend Find and Colour Phonics Worksheet to Develop Phonemic

SK Blend Find and Colour Phonics Worksheet to Develop Phonemic
Special Resources, ELA, Special Education Needs (SEN), Language Development, Phonics, Kindergarten, Preschool, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets

This SK fun, Find and Color worksheet for initial blends is excellent for acquainting children orally with initial consonant blends and helping them develop the necessary phonemic awareness in preparation for more advanced blending work, involving four phonemes. What is included in the pack? One PDF sheet for the SK blend. This is a sample of our pack of 20 activities covering common initial blends which can be found here in one PDF file: less clutter on your computer! What do the worksheets involve? Pupils are instructed to combine the two letters on the worksheet and then look for objects that start with that consonant blend. Then, these items ought to be coloured, leaving the others uncoloured. Children can easily work on the sheet unaided once they have been instructed, although, with those children with special needs, it is strongly suggested that an adult works with the child for maximum benefit. How to use The introduction of the concept of initial blends needs to be done thoroughly. When I work with children, especially those with a special need, I first like to teach children to blend two consonant letters. Then I work on developing the children's phonemic awareness: that being the ability to hear two consonant letters blended at the beginning of a word, easily. This is difficult for some pupils and takes a lot of practice. These worksheets can assist by first encouraging students to blend the two consonant letters and then by helping them to hear the blend at the start of a word. As often as you can, practice blending the letters in each initial blend and encourage the students to follow suit. I find that modelling is key at this stage. Who are the initial blends Find and colour worksheets for? Young learners Those with a special need Due to their non-babyish nature , they can be successfully used with older ESL/EFL pupils. Answer keys: The answer key is included on the sheet, in small print.

Number Bonds 6-10 Bingo - Boards 6-10
Math, Fact Families, Addition and Subtraction, Addition, Grade 1, 2, 3, Activities, Games

Need a fun, engaging activity for practicing number bonds to 10 with your kiddos? This math bingo game is perfect for getting your students focused on number bonds for numbers 6-10! Preparation: Print and laminate enough Bingo Boards for each student to have one Optional: print, cut and laminate the Playing Squares Print, cut and laminate the Calling Cards. Lamination is optional, but recommended, as it will ensure that the game remains in good condition and can be used for many years to come! To avoid excessive printing and laminating, the Playing Squares could be replaced with other manipulatives such as buttons or counters. Alternatively, students could mark squares off on their Bingo Boards with dry erase markers and then simply clean the boards again after playing (provided that you have laminated the boards) How to Play: Each student needs a Bingo Board and at least 7 Playing Squares (or other manipulatives or a dry erase marker) Shuffle the Calling Cards and place them in a pile. Draw a Calling Card and call out and/or display the contents of the card. Each student looks on their Bingo Board for a block that matches the Calling Card. If they find one, they cover that block with a Playing Square. Draw a new Calling Card and repeat the process. The game continues until somebody wins. To win, a student must shout out “BINGO!” when they have covered three blocks in a row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally). If the Calling Cards run out before anybody wins, simply shuffle them again and continue playing. Please note: Sometimes there may be more than one block on the Bingo Board that matches the Calling Card. The student may only cover one block on a turn. Once that turn is over, the Playing Square may not be moved to cover a different block. This resource includes 5 different bingo board, in colour as well as black and white. Guided Reading Lesson Plan & Activities for Grade 10
Reading, ELA, Grade 10, Activities, Lesson Plans, Teacher Tools

Guided reading is not a novel approach in the realm of education. It has existed for a long time and has been extensively studied. Fountas and Pinnell (1996) demonstrated that guided reading effectively enhances students' reading skills. This occurs by offering a well-organized and encouraging educational setting in which learners can develop their reading abilities under the supervision of an instructor. The aim of guided reading is to assist students in cultivating essential reading skills including decoding, fluency, segmenting, and understanding. These abilities can thrive through small group teaching, support, and feedback from educators. Guided reading enables teachers to address the individual requirements of every student according to their grade level. You will be more equipped to offer each student the specific assistance they require to enhance their reading abilities. This ebook includes an elaborate guided reading lesson plan for your 10th-grade students. Activities and suggested answers are also included.
