This product covers the 2016 Virginia (VA) Standards of Learning (SOL) 3.10: The student will read temperature to the nearest degree. It contains notes pages on reading and understanding a thermometer. It includes notes on how to read a standard linear thermometer, a circular thermometer, and how to estimate the temperature when the arrow or mercury is between two lines/numbers. It also has notes pages on constant temperatures, like freezing and boiling, and general temperatures, like what constitutes a "warm" day versus a "cool" one. It also includes notes pages on what is a reasonable response to the temperature (like, would you wear flip flops when it is freezing?). All of these items explore both the Celsius scale and Fahrenheit scale so students are exposed to both customary and metric systems of measuring the temperature. The notes pages come in two sizes. The first size is a full-page size. You can print them as-is, or you can print them two to a pages. This is what I do as it saves on paper and the sheets will fit in a notebook. The second size is formatted to fit on a standard composition notebook page. Additionally, there are two links included in the pdf: one which opens a digital version of the notes, and another that opens a slide show version, optimized for a projector or interactive board. In both cases, which you click the link, you will be prompted to make a copy, which you can then use with Google Slides or download and use with Keynote or PowerPoint. What's included? Vocabulary Measuring Temperature on a Linear Thermometer Linear Thermometer Practice Measuring Temperature on a Circular Thermometer Circular Thermometer Practice Practical Uses of Measuring Temperature Important Temperatures to Remember Reasonable Choices Based on Temperature Practice Note that each practice page comes with an answer key.

So just print out the flash cards and draw them one by one. The students can now cross the words off from their very own bingo cards. Once they have filled out the entire card, they can yell out the magic word, which is of course BINGO.
