Here is a Great Scientists Poster Pack. It is complete with over 20 posters. Each poster features a scientist and a quote from that scientist. There are many ways to implement and enjoy these posters: You may be diving into a science unit in which you particularly study scientists. You can display one scientist as a time as students study this person. You could also use these posters to jumpstart research projects. Perhaps, you could tell students that you are going to show each poster one by one and you will give students a chance to decide who they may be interested in doing more research on. You can print, laminate, and display them around your science class yearlong or on a science bulletin board . Here are other ideas on how to use this resource: - Students may complete a full research project on each one of the scientist included. - You could have students pick 1-2 scientists to do the research project. - Instead of focusing on the full history of that scientist, students can focus on the quote and write You can have students work in groups to brainstorm what they think the quote means. Each letter has a picture of an object that begins with that sound. 2 font styles are included. When children are first starting to learn letter shapes and sounds, it is helpful to have a handy reference chart that the children can use to aid recall or letter shapes and a picture cue to the sound each letter stands for. There are many ways to use these charts: Wall reference Desk reference - give one to each child; special needs children especially find them helpful. Wall reference: a wall chart Play quick games: Put a counter on the letter that says /t/, for example, and play until all letters are covered. Cut up the squares and ask the children to lay the letters in alphabetical order. Phonics Chart: Alphabet chart A Bright, colourful, phonetically correct alphabet chart ! A colourful A4-size alphabet picture chart to help children learn to recognise the upper and lower case letters of the alphabet. Each letter has a picture of an object that begins with that sound. 2 font styles are included. When children are first starting to learn letter shapes and sounds, it is helpful to have a handy reference chart that the children can use to aid recall or letter shapes and a picture cue to the sound each letter stands for. There are many ways to use these charts: Wall reference Desk reference - give one to each child; special needs children especially find them helpful. Wall reference: a wall chart Play quick games: Put a counter on the letter that says /t/, for example, and play until all letters are covered. Cut up the squares and ask the children to lay the letters in alphabetical order. Activities: Write me the sound that ...teddy... begins with: can the child write the letter straight away without looking? Does the child look for the picture of the teddy? Use to assess. Can you tell me which object begins with the sound ...../h/, for example. The child looks for 'h' and says 'house'. Let the children use their charts as they complete worksheets/write/spell.
