A phonic CVC Words Reading Book for young/SEN/ESL readers. This is the last of 16 phonic reading books to support the blending of CVC words with a short vowel sound, suitable for those who just beginning to read with phonics. These books focus exclusively on sounding out words and they only use the key sight (red/tricky) words a, is, the, of, which are introduced only gradually. These short words should be learned on a flashcard first, but are best put into context as soon as possible when children usually, quickly pick them up. Pictures are deliberately minimal to encourage the child to gain meaning from the text and not to guess. All of the words are introduced and then met again in subsequent readers, to help develop confidence and fluency. The book s begins with just a few words being introduced. For example, this book CVC Reading Book 15 uses the words Jiff, off, mess, fuss, of. The whole scope and sequence is included in the pack for your reference. Each book lists the sight word/s being used in that book at the beginning. There is also a short introduction to the book to be read by the teacher and discussed with the child. These introductions help to make up for the lack of words in the book and help parents and teachers to have a basis for discussion with the child, so aiding reading comprehension. I have based the stories around loveable characters with whom the children quickly identify: farmer Tom with his animals, his wife, his son Sam and daughter, Pam, his dog, Jiff and the cat. Due to the systematic, phonetic nature of these books, they are highly suitable for special needs children who have failed with other programmes. Many parents have told me they wished they had found these books sooner, or had found them at all, as they would have been ideal for their struggling reader. They have been thoroughly tested by my current pupils all of whom are boys. Even my nine-year old boy pupil loves them. Learn Initial Sounds M: Lesson 13 teaches the letter Mm and its related phonic sound through a 31-slide PowerPoint lesson, and 5 follow-up activity worksheets. All you need to teach the phonic letter M! Whether in school or at home, this series of phonic presentations can help you effectively teach initial/beginning sounds to all pupils, including those with special needs/dyslexia. This lesson is part of a synthetic, systematic phonics programme for all abilities including those suspected of being dyslexic. This lesson is in the first stage of the Reading Made Simple programme where we teach the initial, or beginning, sounds. The ability to hear the initial/beginning sound is stressed throughout, while we learn to associate each letter with its sound. Each lesson can stand alone but the activities will presume knowledge of the previous letters in the alphabet as Reading Made Simple teaches the initial sounds in alphabetical order. This oa decodable reading book can help children develop reading fluency. It is part of a series of highly structured decodable reading books with controlled vocab; all vocab is decodable using phonic knowledge the child already has (if read in sequence) and true irregular sight words are only slowly and gradually introduced. These books can help children develop reading fluency, providing sequential decodable reading passages that practice previously taught phonic sounds while introducing new ones. Together they form a highly structured phonic reading scheme and should be read in order. the previous books can all be found in the Lilibette's Resources store. They follow on from our previous sets of: CVC Reading Books with matching workbooks Consonant Blends Reading Books with matching workbooks Level 1 Red Books. with matching workbooks These books are best read in sequence. This book contains words with the following sounds: ck, oo, ee, sh, ch, th, ng, ing, ar, or, a-e, i-e and u-e, ai, ea and oa. I created these phonic readers as I saw the huge need for highly structured, fun-to-read, early-reading books. They are very popular. I am an Early Years Specialist Teacher (B. Ed) who is currently tutoring children with profound special needs in reading and writing following over 30 years of teaching phonics. Main features: •The Level 1 readers gently introduce sight words, but only those that cannot be learned in a phonetic family, or will be needed before the family has been studied. •All the other words can be sounded out using the necessary phonic knowledge. Pictures do not encourage guessing •Each book tries to tell a simple story. •Each book has been tested on children with severe special needs and those with none – all have loved them as they can read them! •The books should be read in order Who can use these reading books? All beginner readers of any age and ability Struggling readers of all ages and abilities, including special needs pupils with severe dyslexia/other processing difficulties Teachers, parents, classroom assistants, private tutors - anyone who needs them! Are these phonic reading books and workbooks aligned with the UK Gov requirements or LETRS? Yes - totally. Though not part of an approved programme they are based on synthetic, very systematic phonics. They are highly structured, repeating vocabulary, introducing sight words slowly and introducing a-e words while practising those listed above that have been learned before. How long are the books? The reading books are either 8 or 12 pages long. Why are these books FREE when other people's books cost so much? Are they of lesser quality? They are free as I regard the ability to read as being a fundamental right of every living person. Why should some miss out on top-quality resources because they cannot pay for them? In terms of content, they are top quality, carefully planned and sequenced with the aim of helping as many children as possible get started on the phonic road to reading. This sight word emergent reader packet contains three different sight word reading books that help differentiate sight word instruction. This emergent reader focuses on the sight word: blue. Books Included: Reading Fluency - With this book, students simply read each simple sentence and color the picture. Write and Read - Students will color the picture, write the target sight word, then read the sentences. Trace and Read - Students will color the picture, trace the target sight word, then read the sentences. This book allows students to read simple sentences with the target sight word. The different books available help support students of various levels of be successful with reading and writing sight words. How to Make: Teachers will print out the pages and give them to the students to color, write and trace. They will then cut the pages apart and staple them together to create their book. When to Use: Literacy Center - These emergent readers can be used in literacy center for students to practice these sight words. Homework - These emergent readers can be sent home from homework so parents can assist students in learning their sight words. Independent Practice - These emergent readers make great independent practice for students learning sight words. Sub Plans - Since these emergent readers have easy to follow directions, they make great activities to leave with substitutes. Reading Center - The teacher can create these emergent readers (or students can create their own copies) to be placed in a reading center or class library to read the books again and again. This ou decodable reading book can help children develop reading fluency. It is part of a series of highly structured decodable reading books with controlled vocab; all vocab is decodable using phonic knowledge the child already has (if read in sequence) and true irregular sight words are only slowly and gradually introduced. These books can help children develop reading fluency, providing sequential decodable reading passages that practice previously taught phonic sounds while introducing new ones. Together they form a highly structured phonic reading scheme and should be read in order. the previous books can all be found in the Lilibette's Resources store. They follow on from our previous sets of: CVC Reading Books with matching workbooks Consonant Blends Reading Books with matching workbooks Level 1 Red Books. with matching workbooks These books are best read in sequence. This book contains words with the following sounds: ck, oo, ee, sh, ch, th, ng, ing, ar, or, a-e, i-e and u-e, ai, ea, oa, igh, ir, ay and ou. I created these phonic readers as I saw the huge need for highly structured, fun-to-read, early-reading books. They are very popular. I am an Early Years Specialist Teacher (B. Ed) who is currently tutoring children with profound special needs in reading and writing following over 30 years of teaching phonics. Main features: •The Level 1 readers gently introduce sight words, but only those that cannot be learned in a phonetic family, or will be needed before the family has been studied. •All the other words can be sounded out using the necessary phonic knowledge. Pictures do not encourage guessing •Each book tries to tell a simple story. •Each book has been tested on children with severe special needs and those with none – all have loved them as they can read them! •The books should be read in order Who can use these reading books? All beginner readers of any age and ability Struggling readers of all ages and abilities, including special needs pupils with severe dyslexia/other processing difficulties Teachers, parents, classroom assistants, private tutors - anyone who needs them! Are these phonic reading books and workbooks aligned with the UK Gov requirements or LETRS? Yes - totally. Though not part of an approved programme they are based on synthetic, very systematic phonics. They are highly structured, repeating vocabulary, introducing sight words slowly and introducing a-e words while practising those listed above that have been learned before. How long are the books? The reading books are either 8 or 12 pages long. Why are these books FREE when other people's books cost so much? Are they of lesser quality? They are free as I regard the ability to read as being a fundamental right of every living person. Why should some miss out on top-quality resources because they cannot pay for them? In terms of content, they are top quality, carefully planned and sequenced with the aim of helping as many children as possible get started on the phonic road to reading. We will elaborate the relationship that exists between them. This educational material was specially prepared for eighth Grade students as part of their Science curriculum. We included multiple visual aids and review with Interactive Multiple X Choices and Key Concepts Activity . A multiple-choice Review Activity is one in which the students respond by making a selection among several proposed solutions, each of which is scored as correct or incorrect. The process consists of a short text describing the Vocabulary Words and a definite number of alternative answer options. Among the response options, only one is correct and the rest are incorrect, acting as distractors. A multiple-choice activity is one of the most popular methods used for the assessment of learning. There are many advantages to using a multiple-choice activity in a classroom, for example: They are easy to understand, requires less time to answer than those that contain open questions, where a greater amount of information is required to be processed, the student is evaluated simply based on their choices, and after students are given the instructions on how to use the boxes to answer, you can be confident in the clarity of their answers. First, Practice the vocabulary words as a PPTX and use your mouse. Then, review and read aloud the Vocabulary words and multiple choices. Just press on the square letter your students suggest, if the letter is correct, it will reveal the answer, if the answer is incorrect, it’ll mark it (red X). wrong, keep working until you get the correct answer. Press (arrow down) for next word. After the last word press (Enter) to end the review. Start again as needed.
