You will see hard to find real world problems using the coordinate plane. Students will complete tables given a coordinate plane graph and graph points given a table. Students will also be given conceptual (word) problems and asked to use that information to complete a table or to graph points in the coordinate plane. Next students will make a prediction for a new data point based on the table and its given graph or a conceptual problem. Students will also be asked to interpret coordinate values of a point based on the information from the table and graph or a conceptual situation. During the lesson students will also be introduced to a graph break (sqiggly line).
