A phonic CVC Words Reading Book for young/SEN/ESL readers. This is the thirteenth of 16 phonic reading books to support the blending of CVC words with a short vowel sound, suitable for those who just beginning to read with phonics. These books are intended to be read in sequence for best effect. These books focus exclusively on sounding out words and they only use the key sight (red/tricky) words a, is, the, of, which are introduced only gradually. These short words should be learned on a flashcard first, but are best put into context as soon as possible when children usually, quickly pick them up. Pictures are deliberately minimal to encourage the child to gain meaning from the text and not to guess. All of the words are introduced and then met again in subsequent readers, to help develop confidence and fluency. The book s begins with just a few words being introduced. For example, the book CVC Reading Book 13 uses the words it, doll, picnic, cup, etc. The whole scope and sequence is included in the pack for your reference. Each book lists the sight word/s being used in that book at the beginning. There is also a short introduction to the book to be read by the teacher and discussed with the child. These introductions help to make up for the lack of words in the book and help parents and teachers to have a basis for discussion with the child, so aiding reading comprehension. I have based the stories around loveable characters with whom the children quickly identify: farmer Tom with his animals, his wife, his son Sam and daughter, Pam, his dog, Jiff and the cat. Due to the systematic, phonetic nature of these books, they are highly suitable for special needs children who have failed with other programmes. Many parents have told me they wished they had found these books sooner, or had found them at all, as they would have been ideal for their struggling reader. They have been thoroughly tested by my current pupils all of whom are boys. Even my nine-year old boy pupil loves them. They can also be used with young EFL/ESL learners.

The focus is primarily on a relationship that didn't work out and encountering the person again a year later. Just the phrase 'Last Christmas' relates to the holiday season, signaling the climax of the relationship. Nevertheless, it continues to be chosen as the most beloved Christmas song. Preschoolers will have a ton of fun with these Christmas themed math worksheets. These preschool worksheets focus on number recognition, number formation, counting, picture addition, graphing and comparing numbers. What is Included: Number Mazes - There are two number mazes for students to color or dot the numbers in order to complete the maze. One maze is for numbers 1 to 10. The second maze is for 1 to 20. Roll and Cover - Students will roll a die and then cover the candy that matches the number rolled. Build It Up - Students will use counting cubes or other stacking manipulatives to build to the number on each image. Counting Cut and Paste - Students will count the number of objects on each line then paste the correct number next to the pictures. Five and Tens Frames - Students will color the five or tens frames to show the number represented on each candy corn. Picture Addition - Students will glue the answers to each picture addition problem in the correct spot. Apple Graphing Worksheet - Students will count the pictures and then color the graph with the appropriate amounts. Missing Numbers - Students will write the missing numbers in each number sequence. Comparing Numbers - Students will count the objects and determine which group has more or less. Number Order - Students will glue the numbers in the correct order from 1 to 10. Shape Tracing - Students will trace each shape. Number Tracing - Students will trace each number from 1 to 9. Roll and Cover - Students will roll a die and then color one of the pictures above the number rolled. They will repeat until one column is completely colored in. Counting Worksheets - Students will color the correct number of objects on each worksheet These worksheets make great independent practice, emergency sub plans, and can even be used for homework. These Christmas themed worksheets are no prep. The teacher just simply needs to print out the desired pages and hand them to students to complete. The number mazes, roll and cover page, built it up page, tracing number pages and missing number pages can be laminated to create a reusable write and wipe activity.

Christmas Coloring Pages - Mexican Traditions

Christmas is not the same in every single country. Traditions are different and the languages are different. This is why I created these beautiful coloring pages. Not only did I include the colored versions of the pictures so students could copy and practice color recognition, but I added Christmas-related Spanish words to add interest to the pages and to introduce children to new vocabulary words in the English as well as Spanish language. These fun coloring pages contain drawings with thick outlines to make coloring within the lines much easier even for the youngest children. Of course, children do not need to be able to read to complete the coloring. This a straightforward project with just coloring pages with text on each page. All ages can benefit from participating in the project. However, pre-k, kindergarten, first, second, third, and fourth graders will be the main audience. Print these for your students and place them on a bulletin board for Christmas and/or other multicultural events such as Cinco de Mayo.
