AUTUMN ADJECTIVES Worksheets and Activities

Does your Autumn ELA curriculum include parts of speech, particularly adjectives? If so, you have found a great product to help your grade 3 and grade 4 learners strengthen their grammar skills. Within the pages of this product, you will find engaging worksheets, an exciting science and art craftivity, a cooperative group game, and a quiz to tie together the presented concepts. Learning how to properly use adjectives doesn’t need to be a daunting task. In fact, after completing these activities, your learners will walk away with a newfound confidence in their writing abilities. The best part is, they get to use hands-on learning fun to better comprehend these foundational ELA skills. Each activity includes Autumn-themed pictures and activities, giving you and your learners a full three month to incorporate and master the use of adjectives. While each of the 6 worksheets focuses on adjectives, your learners will also practice spelling, categorizing, writing, and identifying synonyms. The worksheets are great for individual or group work, quiet seat work, and/or homework. When you learners need a break, engage them in a cooperative group game that focuses on finding the most unique adjective to describe an Autumn-themed picture. The 3-part “Describing Pumpkins” activity is a wonderful way for your learners to describe a pumpkin while using their 5 senses and creating a piece of artwork in the process. It’s a bit of science, art, and ELA all rolled into one. Finally, as a means of assessing your learners in their levels of mastery, there is a quiz presented within 12 Power Point slides. Questions are directly from the worksheets and an answer recording sheet is provided. All pages of this product are available in a black & white version. Most pages, along with the Power Point slides are also available in a color version. An answer key for all worksheets is included. Below are the details of each product page. Your grade 3 and grade 4 learners are going to enjoy practicing their grammar skills with this set of Autumn themed worksheets and learning games. Designed specifically to focus on verbs, these activities will provide your learners with the opportunity to strengthen a variety of skill sets. Throughout the 6 worksheets they’ll practice identifying verbs, expanding their vocabulary with synonyms and antonyms, and developing strong writing skills. The two learning games will get your learners up and moving, as well as working collaboratively to identify a variety of verbs associated with the Autumn themed pictures. There’s no better way to reinforce skills that with whole body learning. The product rounds out with a quiz presented in 12 Power Point slides. Questions are taken directly from the worksheets, reducing test anxiety. Not only that, but it’s a great way for you to assess if current learning goals are being met. All around, this is the perfect product for you and your learners. The activities can be used over the span of 3 months. The worksheets are beneficial for individual or group work, homework, or rainy-day seat work. When your learners are a bit squirrely, set aside the worksheets and engage them with either of the learning games. Both the worksheets and games are available in a color version, as well as a black & white version. An answer key is also provided for each worksheet. The Power Point quiz is only available in color however, the answer recording sheet includes both versions. Take a look the details of each page in the list below. Apple Alphabet Maze Worksheets for Lowercase Letters

These apple themed alphabet maze worksheets are the perfect activity to help students recognize lowercase letters. These pages are designed to be completed with dot markers for an added fine motor component. What is Included: This resource includes one lowercase letter worksheets for each letter of the alphabet. There are several ways to use these worksheets: Students will look at the letter on the acorn in the top right hand corner of the page. Students will then use dot markers to dot the follow the maze. Students can use mini erasers or other small manipulatives to cover the target letter. Students can use stickers to cover the letter. Students can use crayons, markers, or colored pencils to color the acorns that contain the correct letter. The teacher can laminate the worksheets and students can use dry erase markers to mark the correct letter. When to Use: Literacy Center : The teacher can place these worksheets in a literacy center for students to complete. Morning Work: These worksheets make a great, easy to set up activity for students to complete as classmates arrive to class. Quiet Time Activity: Students who do not nap can complete these worksheets while their classmates rest. Homework: These worksheets are an easy to assign homework activity for students to complete with parents. Small Group Activity: Teachers can call aside small groups of students who need more help with letter recognition to complete these in a small group setting. These worksheets are no-prep. The teacher just needs to print the pages and give them to students to complete. Laminating is only required if the teacher wishes to create a write and wipe activity. Skills Assessed: These alphabet letter maze worksheets assess students' ability to identify and match lowercase letters. Apple Preschool Literacy Worksheets

Preschoolers will have a ton of fun with these apple themed literacy worksheets. These preschool worksheets focus on letter recognition, letter formation, and prewriting skills. What is Included: Alphabet Mazes - There are two alphabet mazes, one for capital letters and one for lowercase letters. Students will go through the maze by coloring or dotting the apples from A to Z. Apple Emergent Reader - There is one emergent reader that has some basic facts about apples. On the final page, students will record the type of apple they like best. Missing Letters - The student will write the missing letter in each letter sequence. Alphabet Cut and Paste - Students will cut out the lowercase letters and glue them next to their corresponding capital letter. Letter Sort - Students will sort letters by whether they are capital letters or lowercase letters. Prewriting Lines - There are two prewriting worksheets. In the first worksheet, students will trace straight lines in a variety of directions from left to right. On the second worksheet, students will trace a variety of lines from left to right, including curves and zigzags. Letter Tracing - There are 6 handwriting worksheets for students to practice writing capital letters and lowercase letters. Three worksheets are for capital letters and three worksheets are for lowercase letters. Apple Craft Template - There is one apple craft template page for students to color or decorate, and then cut out and glue together to create their own apple. These worksheets make great independent practice, emergency sub plans, and can even be used for homework. These apple themed worksheets are no prep. The teacher just simply needs to print out the desired pages and hand them to students to complete. The alphabet mazes, prewriting pages, tracing letter pages and missing letter pages can be laminated to create a reusable write and wipe activity.
