Homeschooling Dietitian Mom
Hi there! I’m Debbie, the Homeschooling Dietitian Mom, and I’m excited to share my passion for education, nutrition, and thriving kids.
· I am currently a Dietitian with Foodsmart – working with low-income patients of all ages in multiple states via Telehealth sessions.
· Substitute Teacher: I have experience in California, working with special education and alternative education students, plus teaching middle and high school science, health, math, and language arts—whatever was needed!
· Tutoring: I spent 5+ years tutoring at-risk youth, helping them navigate their unique challenges.
· Special Education Assistant: 2+ years supporting kids with special needs, ensuring they get the personalized attention they deserve.
· Homeschooling Mom: For 8+ years, I’ve been homeschooling my son, who has Autism and other unique learning needs. It’s been a rewarding journey filled with creative teaching strategies and a lot of love.
· Public Health Nutritionist: As a Public Health Nutritionist with WIC, I have counseled and empowered women for over 3 years, combining my passion for nutrition and helping others.
· Head of Dietary Department – My first job as a dietitian was at a rehab and long-term care facility also in California.
Before jumping into the world of education, I spent 15+ years in clerical, customer service, and administrative support. This background gave me a solid foundation in organization and communication, skills that I now bring to my teaching.
