Main Ideas: Discuss Ancestry and Heritage and how they shape our lives

Lesson Three: Celebrate Diversity in Skin Color

Main Ideas: People have many different types of skin color. A person's skin color is so unique even family members can have different looking skin. Everyone's skin is a combination of tans, browns and blacks.

Lesson Four: Celebrate Diversity in Physical Disabilities

Main Ideas: Some thing things are hard for people to do. People with disabilities may need adaptations to do something

Lesson Five: Celebrate Diversity in Language

Main Ideas: Language allows us to communicate with each other.

This unit was designed for Kindergarten through 3rd grade. It includes many hands-on, engaging activities.
