About This Product

Give your upper elementary learners a new and exciting way to strengthen their skills in converting units of liquid volume. With this set of 20 task cards they will work their way through solving problems that focus specifically on cups, pints, quarts, and gallons. As a way to appeal to most learners, questions on the cards are presented in a variety of options. There are direct questions and answers, fill-in the blank, true/false, multiple choice, and word problems. A benefit of the word problems is that they are designed to include real-world scenarios, making a connection between learning and your 5th graders and 6th graders lives. You’ll find that task cards make a great learning tool because they are an adaptable resource. When the weather permits, take them outdoors and let your learners get up and move as they work their way through each card posted in various locations. Use them inside your educational environment at learning centers or as group work. If using them as a whole class assignment, the corresponding PowerPoint slides will make a wonderful addition to the lesson. Each full colored slide mirrors the task cards which can be used as a one-day assignment or a daily warm-up across multiple days or weeks. The recording sheet that learners write their answers on are available two to a page. This reduces the number of copies you make/print and the amount of ink/toner you use. Another added benefit for you is the answer key which is provided. All task cards in this product are available in a color format, as well as a black & white format. Both sets are identical. Following the initial prep work of printing and cutting the task cards, you can use this product year after year. Simply print the cards on cardstock and laminate for durability. The details of each card are listed below.
