About This Product

For your grade 5 and grade 6 learners who are working on strengthening their skills in converting unit measurements, this is the ideal learning activity. Specifically designed to help your learners focus on measurements of liquid volume, these 20 task cards are sure to engage them. Since no two learners are the same, these cards include five different types of questions. The cards, which come in a color version, as well as a black & white version, present questions in a question/answer, fill-in the blank, multiple choice, true/false, or word problem format. You’ll also find that the word problems include real-world scenarios, perfect for connecting your learners to the task at hand. Memorizing the information necessary to convert measurements can be tricky. For that reason, a “Liquid Volume Conversion” chart is provided. Available in a full-page, half- page, or quarter-page format, these visual aides are available to provide guidance to your learners. As they work to solve the problem on each card, your learners will concentrate on converting the following units of measurement: cups, pints, quarts, and gallons. They will write their answers on the half-page answer recording sheet which come originally two per page. This allows you a reduction in the number of copies you make and/or the amount of ink or toner you use. After the first use, you’ll find these task cards are perfect for year over year use. Simply copy/print on cardstock and laminate them for durability. Then in the coming years, pull them out for a quick and fun learning activity for your kiddos. For more information about the cards, check out the list of details below.
