How to Use the Crocodiles and Alligators Mini Unit:

This is a comprehensive unit of study that will have many components to make learning come to life. The glossary is an essential component that will provide students with the basic vocabulary they’ll need to understand and grasp the major topics included in the unit. The first lesson shows students the differences between crocodiles and alligators as well as their evolution over the past 220 million years. Students can also learn about the functions of different parts of alligator and crocodile bodies.

Reading and information sheets are provided for eight different crocodile species around the world. Booklet pages are provided for all eight species in blank and modified versions. The sheets are also provided in a poster format as an alternate activity. All materials are also provided in a format for uploading to your google classroom or other sites.
