Customers and Competition (Full Intro to Business Unit)
About This Product
Attention, business educators!
It is no surprise that business means people. Specifically, your customers. This lesson, "Customers and Competition", explores the centers of profit that a business has and how it can better cater to them. It also explores the competition that a company faces, and how customers go about their comparison shopping.
This unit includes 5 main topics:
Customer Segmentation and Targeting: Look at how your customer's segment into different groups, and how they can be targeted more effectively.
A Company’s Ideal Customer: Who exactly is your company looking to attract? This question can and should dictate many of the decisions that your company makes.
Competitive Analysis: As your students think about the alternatives to a business, how does a company stack up? How does Lyft compare to Uber? How is McDonald's truly different than Burger King? This chapter explores that competitive analysis.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM): One of the more taxing but crucial aspects of business is managing your customer base. Look at some systems designed to do that.
Building a Unique Value Proposition: What sets a company apart? That is the UVP. In this chapter students will explore what distinguishes a good UVP, and how to make one.
This teaching package includes many great resources – from an engaging class slidedeck, to useful embedded videos, a corresponding video worksheet and answer key, and student-friendly follow-along notes.
