Students explore the swimming times of the Women’s 4x100m Freestyle Event in 2024. These are real times and real results!

The times are written in seconds to the hundredths place value spot.

How to Use:

Students must first look a three swimming teams in the Women's 4x100 meter freestyle relay swimming event from 2024.

Each time has four times from the four swimmers.

Students must add up the 4 decimal numbers (written to the hundredths place value spot).

Next, they answer some other math questions to work with decimal place value.

• Which team had the fastest individual swimmer?

• Which team had the slowest individual swimmer?

• What was the difference in time between gold and bronze?

• Identifying numbers in certain place value spots.
