Read and write multi-digit whole numbers in standard, expanded, and word form
Represent tenths, hundredths, and thousandths using place-value diagrams and fraction-to-decimal conversion

Teaching tips

Separate the completed notes and quiz pages from the blank student copies before printing, since the packet places each filled-in version directly after its blank counterpart
Have students work the diagram-coloring items on the tenths/hundredths and thousandths pages in colored pencil so the shaded amount is easy to check
Use the worked comparing-and-ordering walkthrough on the Lesson 1.5 pages as a mini-lesson before assigning the quiz's ordering questions
