In need of a fun way to increase self-esteem and encourage self-care? This free bingo challenge game will surely be a hit with your students. The board game includes a total of 16 self-care/self-love strategies to show your students how they can appreciate and love themselves. The best part is it can be done virtually or at home!
There are a number of ways to use the BINGO board:
- in your classroom/virtual classroom as a daily challenge
- choose a different activity to do each day together
- the students can share what they did the previous day
- students can learn to set a daily goal to complete
Conversation prompts:
- "Why did you choose that box to complete?"
- "How did it feel doing that for yourself?"
- "Why do you think doing these things are important?"
- "How do you think that (activity) helped you feel loved?"
- "When did you like doing (activity) at night before bed? in the morning? after school?"
- "Who can we invite to do these things with at home?"
The strategies included on the cards are:
- Make a list of things you love about yourself
- Do something that makes you smile
- Give yourself a big hug
- Make something for yourself
- Play with your favorite toy
- Eat your favorite food
- Play outside
- Play with your friends
- Watch your favorite movie
- Read your favorite book
- Draw a picture of your favorite thing to do
- Play with your favorite toy
- Draw a picture of yourself
- Practice yoga for 5 minutes
- Practice mindfulness for 5 minutes
- Try something new
- Ask for help doing something
