About This Product

French: Pronunciation Practice- Part 1

This French: Pronunciation Practice- Part 1 resource contains a tool designed to assist intermediate to advanced students in honing their French pronunciation skills.

Although this tool can be utilized in a classroom setting, it's primarily crafted for independent study.

Part 1 encompasses six fundamental components:

  1. Silent letters at words' ends

  2. The pronunciation of -r

  3. The pronunciation of -u

  4. Silent -h and cedilla

  5. Nasal sounds

  6. The ‘ay/ai’ pronunciation

The French: Pronunciation Practice- Part 1 included PowerPoint presentation, composed of around 25 slides, offers descriptions for each component, integrated sound files for hands-on learning, and practice slides. (The sound files are also separately stored in a distinct folder).

Additionally, you'll find a link to access the Google Slides version of this PowerPoint. However, you'll require a Gmail account to access this. The Google Slides can be shared with your students or posted on Google Classroom.

The final three slides feature a short test, in which students listen to an audio clip and select the corresponding word from a given table.

What you will find inside the .zip folder:

  • A PowerPoint Presentation (27 slides) with integrated audio files

  • A distinct folder containing all audio files

  • A link to access the Google Slides version
