PERSONALLY, I can remember one of my favorite students complaining about some of the textbook grammar lessons, saying that he dreaded doing it because it was so time consuming and boring. I’ve always thought about this when teaching grammar, and it helped me become a better teacher. I would begin each class with English Warm-ups. Then we’d sing a song about the part/parts of speech we were learning. Finally, we’d work on the dreaded grammar. Luckily, this Spring into Grammar Bundle was always a hit with my 6th graders.
