The Rain Poem | Upper Intermediate Lesson Plan

This is an ELA ESL ELL and TEFL upper intermediate lesson plan worksheet set for The Rain poem.

Students will read this poem and then complete the exercises to follow, which will assess their comprehension and implement grammar skills. They will study this poem about a rainy day with storms and flooding and the destruction they can cause. It includes a chatterbox exercise - conversation topics that feature throughout our resources to enable students to express themselves orally. The final exercise is a writing task as the students are asked to write their own poem. The poem can be about any topic of their choice but it must rhyme. This will test the students' vocabulary and writing skills.
