Editable Recipe Templates - Create a Recipe Book or a Cookbook - 10 Unique Love-Themed Template Designs for Valentines Day (or any other time of year as is appropriate). Each recipe template: Can be printed with the chosen recipes handwritten onto the cards Can be edited using Google Slides or PowerPoint - Font styles can be changed and more. Links to recipe ideas are included as well. This is a project that can be worked on individually or as a team. Students will practice using Google Slides or PowerPoint software which will increase their knowledge of creating products in these creative software programs. Students will practice typing and/or handwriting. Students can give the finished products to a special friend or family member. Students can try out the recipes in the school kitchen as is possible. A lovely home economics and family consumer sciences project. Students will be developing research skills when they utilize the included links to find recipes and choose ones that they think sound yummy. Finding, choosing, and trying out new recipes are all life skills that will be helpful into adulthood, especially if students are given the opportunity to try out any of the recipes. Students will have fun doing this crafty, unique activity, and they will be learning at the same time. Recipes contain ingredients in specific amounts (math), and have to be followed like a lab experiment to complete and end up with a successful finished product. Two zipped files are included: one non-editable pdf file and one editable PowerPoint file that can be used with Google slides which is a free program.

Students can practice reading comprehension skills with these EN word family mats. Students can practice reading EN words in isolation and in the context of sentences. The words in this set follow a CVC or CCVC spelling pattern. Included in this resource: This resource includes one word mat and one sentence mat, both for reading EN words in insolation and in context. There are also picture cards that correspond with each word and sentence. To complete this activity, students will read each EN word or sentence on the mat and then match the corresponding pictures. Students can work independently or with a partner to complete this activity. How to Use these EN word Family Mats: The students can simply lay the images on top of the word or sentence. They can be placed in a file folder utilizing hook and loop fasteners to attach the images. A magnetic activity can be created by using a baking sheet and magnets to affix the images. Students will love the hands-on nature of this activity. The bold and colorful images will capture students' attention, and the easy to recognize pictures are sure to keep students engaged in learning. These literacy activities allow students to practice target words both in the context of sentences and in isolation. Where can these mats be used? Skills assessed through this activity: Reading EN words in context of a sentence and in isolation Reading comprehension The low-prep nature of this EN words matching mats activity makes it an easy to assign activity. The mats simply need to be printed out, while the matching cards need to be printed and cut. Lamination is optional for increased durability. In this SEL product, you will get SEL Flashcards for Social Emotional Learning. You will also get SEL coloring pages because there are two different pages of emotions/feelings. Both pages have a black and white version and a color version. The black and white version allows your students to color their own faces and images. The emotions listed are; happy, sad, silly, proud, shy confused, scared, excited, angry, tired, loving, sick, disgusted, cry, jealous, disappointed. These flashcards can be used for so many purposes. I have used these flashcards for Go Fish games where the students have to ask for a certain feeling. You will need to make two copies of the colored emotions poster to make this game work. If a student asks for "angry" and the student they asked has it, that student give the card to the one who asked and that student places the match down on the table and names a time they felt angry. I have also used this resource for memory games. You would, again, make two copies of each emotion. Then you would mix up the cards and place them face down (I would highly recommend cardstock) in a random order. Students then would choose two cards and reveal the emotion cards. If they are a match, then the student can share when they have felt that way. If it is not a match, they would place the cards face down again the the next student would take a turn. This is a fun and interactive game but also helps students discuss their feelings in a non-threatening way. This resource can be used as a whole class activity where students color their flashcards and then cut them out. They can randomly pick a card and name a time they felt that way. This can also be used as a center activity for Go Fish or Memory (as I described above). The ways to use these Emotion SEL Flashcards are endless!
