Enhance the teaching and learning of the beginning sound of letter T with our unique and interactive flower craftivity. This educational tool is designed to facilitate the understanding and recognition of the letter T sound with common, easy to recognize images. Our resource contains three different letter T flower templates to practice both beginning sounds as well as letter recognition. What's Included: There are two different templates that allow students to create a flower focused on recognizing the beginning sound of the letter T. There is one template that allows students to create a flower focused on letter recognition of both capital and lowercase forms of the letter T. Utilizing this Resource: Simply print the flower templates, and then allow the students to color, cut out, and assemble into a flower on colored construction paper. You can also print the flower design onto colored card stock to create a sorting activity . The flower will need to be cut and laminated. COLORS IN THE AMAZON RAINFOREST BOOK AND ACTIVITIES

Take your Pre-K and kindergarten learners on a journey through the Amazon rainforest with this fun-filled set of activities. There’s something for all types of learners as they focus on colors and animal adaptations in the rainforest biome. They’ll begin their journey with an engaging mini-book that tells about 10 rainforest animals. Created with beginning readers in mind, the story offers repetitive sentences, sight words, and colorful graphics. On each page learners will also be introduced to adjectives describing adaptations of each animal. Afterwards, each learner will have the opportunity to personalize their own book. This is a great way for them to build connections with learning and practice their reading skills with family and friends. Next, they’ll move on to several hands-on activities where they will strengthen foundational fine motor skills through tracing, cutting, gluing, manipulating modeling dough, and pretending to feed a baby hummingbird using a pipette. Along with those skills, your learners will practice concepts such as counting, writing, identifying color words, sorting, patterns, and following directions. Each activity was designed to meet current educational standards while highlighting the unique characteristics of animals such as the pink river dolphin, harpy eagle, black caiman, leaf-cutter ant, and red-eyed tree frog. You will note the STEM activities require specific materials, many of which can be found in your own teacher treasure trove or borrowed from teacher friends. While the craftivities do require initial prep work, they will add color to your educational environment. What’s more, your learners will take pride in seeing their masterpieces displayed during your rainforest themed unit. The books and many of the activities are available in both color and black & white versions. An answer key is also provided for worksheets. Below you will find a list of details found within the pages of this product. BOOKS: Two versions of “Take a Look!” – one a basic read-along, the other an interactive read-along. STEM: Activity 1: learners will estimate the number of blue morpho butterfly eggs that will fit on various sized leaves and place eggs (pony beads) on said leaves to show visual representation. Activity 2: learners will use modeling clay to build an anthill to house an estimated number of leaf-cutter ants that will fit inside their home. Activity 3: learners will use a pipette to feed the baby hummingbird an estimated number of nectar (colored water) droplets. Activity 4: learners will use Zoobs (anacondas) to create various types of lines and 2-D shapes. These dragons are so silly and so much fun for kids to color. As is this entire dragon crafts activity pack. Kids absolutely love these dragons as well with their simple, thick outlines, they are a great way to give your students a break from their work and also be used as a reward for good behavior and an assignment done well. Since so many kids nowadays love dinosaurs and dragons, I thought it would be fun to create a dragon crafts activity pack. The simple drawings are perfect for preschoolers and prereaders. The bookmark designs, which are smaller and more complex, can be enjoyed by older students as well. There are five different dragons on 8.5 x 11 for a total of 10 posters - 5 of the dragons contain a colored example that children can follow to help with color recognition. These do not have a color border. The other 5 dinosaurs are black and white by themselves and contain a colored border. Once colored, the posters can be used to decorate bulletin boards, classrooms, and home refrigerators. They could even be framed and given as gifts! They can be printed and used again and again! In addition, there are 6 double-sided bookmarks with different geometric designs, patterns, and dragon pictures for coloring and printing. Geometry is math, so without realizing it, when your students color in the geometric designs, they are in essence practicing math skills. You can ask your students to identify the shapes and patterns on the bookmarks while they are coloring. You can also teach about shapes and patterns while they are keeping their hands busy coloring them. This can be super helpful in reducing distractibility. The geometric designs are great for developing familiarity with shapes and patterns. Plus, bookmarks make great gifts and encourage reading. The format is pdf downloadable and there are 15 pages, including the cover page. There is no need for an answer key as this dragon craft activity pack is pure fun with a little arts and crafts and math snuck in.
