This set includes 10 hand-designed watercolor backgrounds , all created by me in Procreate. They’re simple, versatile, and gentle in color, making them easy to combine with your own content—whether you're designing a worksheet, setting up a presentation, or putting together printable materials like task cards or signs. Print the cards with the envelope template for each card (print 8 copies of the envelope template), have students choose their favorite, cut the card and the envelope template, fold them, and personalize them to give to a friend or loved one. Students will Practice hands-on craft skills (cutting, folding, pasting, problem solving with the challenge of properly creating an envelope from the template). Practice handwriting and spelling, proper grammar (including use of capitalization for proper nouns, at the beginning of sentence, proper use of commas and periods). Practice proper addressing of an envelope in preparation of sending in the mail, which is an important life skill. Greeting cards are not age specific. If the student can't read or write, they can draw pictures inside their card and get help from peers and teachers.

Each card is decorated with a unique design and dog or cat clip art. SOCIAL SKILLS CENTERS AND LIFE SKILLS CENTERS Greeting cards are perfect for fun activities for holidays and everyday use and are great for teaching social skills. Also, practical skills such as practice with addressing envelopes. Mailing out a card to a loved one is not as common as it used to be and will most likely pleasantly surprise the recipient plus the student will feel good about themselves for completing such a thoughtful project. SOCIAL STUDIES You could also use this project for social skills centers and as a basis for teaching about the changes in the world historically in regard to how people communicate much less commonly through "snail mail." MATH ACTIVITY IDEAS Also, you can integrate math activities. For example, the cost of a postage stamp and how much it would cost to send out 10 cards to friends/families (how many stamps you need to purchase multiplied by the number of stamps you need to buy). Another idea for a math activity would be to estimate how much time you need when you mail a card out to a friend or relative through the post office and how it would vary depending on how far away the recipient is. pdf downloadable file
