Día de los Muertos Reading Comprehension Passage and Craft Activities for Grades 4th to 7th What’s inside? I created this resource with grades 4th to 7th in mind because I wanted something that makes cultural learning easy to understand, but still interesting for older elementary and middle-grade students. While designing it, my goal was to give students a chance to read, think, discuss, and create - all in one meaningful lesson. This resource includes: A reading comprehension passage that compares Día de los Muertos (Mexico) and Shradh (India) A small set of Día de los Muertos vocabulary words Pictures of both Día de los Muertos and Shradh ceremonies to support understanding A simple mask-making craft activity A scrapbook/collage project for team work A certificate you can award to students when they finish Resource features I wrote the passage to help students notice how both traditions honor their ancestors in different ways. The vocabulary list gives students a quick introduction to important terms before reading. Pictures of both traditions make the topic easier to discuss, especially for students who are seeing these celebrations for the first time. The mask-making activity gives students a fun way to connect with the lesson through art. The scrapbook/collage project encourages team work, creativity, and discussion. Scissor Skills Fun (Cutting Practice Worksheets for Preschool & Kindergarten) I created these cutting practice worksheets for young children who are still learning how to use scissors and need plenty of simple and easy hands-on practice. Many preschool and kindergarten students struggle with cutting at first, so I wanted to make something that feels fun and doable instead of overwhelming. This printable set includes grayscale pictures of animals, everyday objects, treats, simple shapes, and a lot more. Kids will cut along straight lines and curves while working on hand strength and eye coordination. All the pictures inside are familiar and playful, which will help to keep children interested and focused while they practice. According to me, a variety really helps - children are much more willing to practice when the pictures are exciting. Chemistry Pennant Banner – 50 Main Group Elements to Print

Printable Pennants: 50 Main Group Elements – Holiday Chemistry Decor (Christmas Theme) This is a printable banner I made for my chemistry classroom, mostly to bring a bit of colour and a seasonal touch in December while still keeping it content-related. It includes 50 of the main group elements from the periodic table, each one on a separate pennant with the name, symbol and atomic number. I hang them up across the whiteboard or on the classroom wall, and the nice thing is that the students walk past them all the time, so they kind of absorb the information without realising it. The look of the pennants is slightly Christmas-themed, nothing too much, just enough to feel like it fits the season. I’ve done it both ways – printing the coloured version myself and just hanging it up, or printing the black-and-white version and letting students decorate a pennant each. That version worked well with a lower energy group before the holidays, and they enjoyed adding small facts or drawings connected to their element. Some made it artistic, others just coloured it in, but it definitely helped with remembering. Depending on the class, I sometimes only use the first 20 elements, especially if we haven’t covered much of the table yet. But with older students, we’ve used all 50 and even turned it into a quick quiz – like who can find the halogens in the banner, or name something everyday that contains element 13. I usually print the pennants on slightly thicker paper so they hang nicely, and if I want to use them again next year, I laminate them. String or ribbon works well for hanging, and it only takes a few minutes to put it all together. It’s a small thing, but it brightens up the room and keeps the content in view. Students will Practice hands-on craft skills (cutting, folding, pasting, problem solving with the challenge of properly creating an envelope from the template). Practice handwriting and spelling, proper grammar (including use of capitalization for proper nouns, at the beginning of sentence, proper use of commas and periods). Practice proper addressing of an envelope in preparation of sending in the mail, which is an important life skill. Greeting cards are not age specific. If the student can't read or write, they can draw pictures inside their card and get help from peers and teachers.

In this bundle, you will receive a variety of 5 x 7 card designs. Everything from green and lavender non-religious Christmas cards to variations of Christmas cards with old fashioned type pictures, some with Bible verses, some without Bible verses. In this super bundle, you will also receive 8 beautiful bookmarks that are full color, with the option to make eight single sided (Bible verse or no) or 4 double-sided bookmarks. In addition, there is a full page of 4 extra-large black and white bookmarks telling the Nativity story, for younger children to color and cut up. The 4 bookmarks each have a portion of the Biblical Nativity story so can also be used for sequencing of events activities.
