My Super bundle of Christmas cards and bookmarks is a collection of digital cards, bookmarks, Christmas tags, and an envelope template I have created over the past 4 years. In this bundle, you will receive a variety of 5 x 7 card designs. Everything from green and lavender non-religious Christmas cards to variations of Christmas cards with old fashioned type pictures, some with Bible verses, some without Bible verses. In this super bundle, you will also receive 8 beautiful bookmarks that are full color, with the option to make eight single sided (Bible verse or no) or 4 double-sided bookmarks. In addition, there is a full page of 4 extra-large black and white bookmarks telling the Nativity story, for younger children to color and cut up. The 4 bookmarks each have a portion of the Biblical Nativity story so can also be used for sequencing of events activities. Included in this Super bundle of Christmas cards and bookmarks: 29 total 5 x 7 Christmas cards 27 of the cards are in full color 2 of the cards are black and white color your own 1 BONUS 5 x 7 Envelope template - all the 5 x 7 cards in the kit will fit perfectly into the template. You can pick your own color paper/cardstock to create your envelope to match the card color and style. BONUS bookmarks that are full color - you can create the bookmarks to be 4 double-sided or 8 single sided bookmarks. 4 additional bookmarks which are larger than regular 2" x 6" size, to be colored in as noted above. BONUS Gift Tags/Mini Cards - in addition, these gift tags have full color, adorable animals to decorate. They fold like a mini-book, so children can choose to use as a tag or as a mini-card. Since each card and bookmarks contains a saying, poem, or Bible verse text, you can use these as read aloud activities. Print the cards with the envelope template for each card (print 8 copies of the envelope template), have students choose their favorite, cut the card and the envelope template, fold them, and personalize them to give to a friend or loved one. Students will Practice hands-on craft skills (cutting, folding, pasting, problem solving with the challenge of properly creating an envelope from the template). Practice handwriting and spelling, proper grammar (including use of capitalization for proper nouns, at the beginning of sentence, proper use of commas and periods). Practice proper addressing of an envelope in preparation of sending in the mail, which is an important life skill. Greeting cards are not age specific. If the student can't read or write, they can draw pictures inside their card and get help from peers and teachers.

Día de los Muertos Reading Comprehension Passage and Craft Activities for Grades 4th to 7th What’s inside? I created this resource with grades 4th to 7th in mind because I wanted something that makes cultural learning easy to understand, but still interesting for older elementary and middle-grade students. While designing it, my goal was to give students a chance to read, think, discuss, and create - all in one meaningful lesson. This resource includes: A reading comprehension passage that compares Día de los Muertos (Mexico) and Shradh (India) A small set of Día de los Muertos vocabulary words Pictures of both Día de los Muertos and Shradh ceremonies to support understanding A simple mask-making craft activity A scrapbook/collage project for team work A certificate you can award to students when they finish Resource features I wrote the passage to help students notice how both traditions honor their ancestors in different ways. The vocabulary list gives students a quick introduction to important terms before reading. Pictures of both traditions make the topic easier to discuss, especially for students who are seeing these celebrations for the first time. The mask-making activity gives students a fun way to connect with the lesson through art. The scrapbook/collage project encourages team work, creativity, and discussion. The activities and wording are age-appropriate for grades 4 - 7. Clear instructions are included so teachers, parents, and homeschoolers can use it without extra preparation. How to use this resource? Reading Comprehension: Students can read the passage and answer questions that help them compare and contrast both traditions. Group Work: You can divide the class into teams to complete the scrapbook or collage activity. Craft Time: The mask-making activity can be used during art time or as a fun cultural extension. Cultural Studies: This set works well in lessons about traditions, celebrations, family, or world cultures. Who Can Use It? Do you work with students who have emergent literacy skills? Do you work with students who use AAC or have complex communication needs? Or do you work with early elementary students who have a language delay or disorder? If so, my book companions are for you! This book companion provides you with multiple language, communication, shared reading, and shared writing tasks. Instructions and guidance for the shared reading activities of a picture walk through and repeated readings is provided. Additional activities to provide practice with identifying the focus letter through repetition with variety are also included. Story props are provided to help increase participation during shared reading activities. They can also be used to aide with story retell activities. There is a focus on balancing explicit exposure and targeted practice for both core and fringe vocabulary. CROWD questions can be used to further increase comprehension of the target book and elicit a wide range of language and communication skills. The provided sentence stems can be used in isolation or in conjunction with the predictable chart writing protocol. The character description webs provide a platform to target multiple language and communication targets. These book companions include 1-3 hands-on art or science themed activities. This product can be used individually, in small groups, or for whole class instruction.
