I love to make printable greeting cards and bookmarks. Not only are they fun for kids to do but can be used to practice and build useful and important skills. For example, these cute Valentines Day cards with matching envelope template (5 x 7 finished size): Require students to cut out the cards and envelope template in order to create a finished card with a matching envelope. Cutting with scissors builds fine motor skills. When students fold the cards correctly as well as paste the envelope template correctly, they are developing (especially with the envelope template) problem solving skills in addition to the fine motor skills practice. Deciding who to give the card, writing out a greeting to the chosen person, and addressing the envelope will not only build social skills, but life skills that will always be needed throughout adulthood. Properly addressing the card and outside envelope will require proper capitalization and grammar and will develop handwriting skills as well. Students can work on their cards as a group. Teachers can create a special center for this project. Cards are blank on the inside so that students can decide what they want to say. They can also draw pictures if they are not reading or writing letters yet. The cards are not age specific. They can be created with pre-readers all the way up to adulthood. There are six (6) different foldable, 5 x 7-inch cards with the following sayings: All you need is Jesus Jesus loves you Be my valentine I love you Two of the cards contain a picture without a saying. One envelope template is included, which can be used with any 5 x 7 card besides the cards in the Valentines Day card pack. pdf downloadable file, each card is on a separate sheet of paper. Also included is a coloring sheet with a colored sheet students can use to match the colors or color their own way using their own chosen color scheme.

Día de los Muertos Reading Comprehension Passage and Craft Activities for Grades 4th to 7th What’s inside? I created this resource with grades 4th to 7th in mind because I wanted something that makes cultural learning easy to understand, but still interesting for older elementary and middle-grade students. While designing it, my goal was to give students a chance to read, think, discuss, and create - all in one meaningful lesson. This resource includes: A reading comprehension passage that compares Día de los Muertos (Mexico) and Shradh (India) A small set of Día de los Muertos vocabulary words Pictures of both Día de los Muertos and Shradh ceremonies to support understanding A simple mask-making craft activity A scrapbook/collage project for team work A certificate you can award to students when they finish Resource features I wrote the passage to help students notice how both traditions honor their ancestors in different ways. The vocabulary list gives students a quick introduction to important terms before reading. Pictures of both traditions make the topic easier to discuss, especially for students who are seeing these celebrations for the first time. The mask-making activity gives students a fun way to connect with the lesson through art. The scrapbook/collage project encourages team work, creativity, and discussion. The activities and wording are age-appropriate for grades 4 - 7. Clear instructions are included so teachers, parents, and homeschoolers can use it without extra preparation. How to use this resource? Reading Comprehension: Students can read the passage and answer questions that help them compare and contrast both traditions. Group Work: You can divide the class into teams to complete the scrapbook or collage activity. Craft Time: The mask-making activity can be used during art time or as a fun cultural extension. This Spring Bunny Jigsaw Puzzle set is something I created to give young learners a fun and calming activity for centers, morning work, or quiet time. The bright spring artwork really draws kids in, and the different puzzle levels are great for supporting a range of abilities. What’s Inside: 4-100 piece puzzles Full-color answer pages Simple printing and cutting tips These puzzles work well with Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten, and the higher-piece versions can challenge Grade 1–2 students. I usually print the pages on cardstock and laminate them so they last longer, especially if they’re going into a center. How to Use: Just print, cut, mix, and let students put the puzzle together. The smaller-piece puzzles are great for fast finishers, and the bigger ones are perfect for students who like a challenge. In addition to the six (6) different bookmarks, this pack includes 4 different 5 x 7 cards, two with gingerbread characters, two with other designs. One card is white with just the words, "Love - Be My Valentine" in printed in cursive, red in color. The other card contains a pair of birds kissing inside of a red heart with a blue outline and a blue background. All cards say, "Be My Valentine." Also included is a 5 x 7 envelope template that your students can cut out and paste together to create an envelope that will fit perfectly with the 5 x 7 cards. This project can be used to encourage students to handwrite a message inside, address the envelopes. Scissor Skills Fun (Cutting Practice Worksheets for Preschool & Kindergarten) I created these cutting practice worksheets for young children who are still learning how to use scissors and need plenty of simple and easy hands-on practice. Many preschool and kindergarten students struggle with cutting at first, so I wanted to make something that feels fun and doable instead of overwhelming. This printable set includes grayscale pictures of animals, everyday objects, treats, simple shapes, and a lot more. Kids will cut along straight lines and curves while working on hand strength and eye coordination. All the pictures inside are familiar and playful, which will help to keep children interested and focused while they practice.
