How to Play: Girls will read the answer on their card aloud: “I have ”. This girl will then read the question at the bottom of their card – ‘Who has _?’ Then the girl with the card that answers the question responds. Every card in the set is connected to a card before it and a card after it. Play continues in this fashion until all of the cards have been played. The game will end with the same girl who started play.

The 16 Winter-themed words are used throughout each activity and focus on holidays such as Christmas, Hanukkah, and Valentine’s Day. There are also terms that relate directly to the season of Winter such as hibernation, penguins, and snowflakes. Along with the aforementioned areas of learning, your learners will also practice fundamental fine motor skills with writing letters, cutting, gluing, and manipulating clothes pins. The flashcards and 2 hands-on learning games are available in both a color version and a black & white version. Most of the worksheets are also available in both versions. The 25 Power Point slides were created in a full-color version to entice and engage your learners. While the Power Point activity was designed as a whole class learning game, the 2 additional games are wonderful individual or small learning group activities. PAGES 1-3: Sixteen flashcards with pictures and word labels PAGE 4: learners will circle one of two letters that show the beginning sound of the winter picture. PAGE 5: learners will draw lines matching the beginning sound of a winter picture and its letter partner. PAGE 6: learners will color the “thumbs up” or “thumbs down” symbol to show if the given letter matches the beginning sound of the winter picture. A cute Valentine's Day memory game . Cut apart cards, lightly glue a front to a back, laminate, and cut out again. Lay card face down and take turns trying to make a match. 16 Valentine matches! Make your class Valentine's Day Party extra special this year! How to Use This Resource: Cut apart all the cards. Then lightly glue each back to a front. Run through a laminator and then cut apart each pieces. Cards are printed 4 per page. When you laminate these cards, they will be a timeless activity to use again and again from year to year. Lay pieces flat and upside down. Take turns with your students to turn over 2 at a time. When you find a match, you get to keep the match. When all the cards have been turned over and matched up, then the game is over. The winner is the one who has found the most matches. Not only do these cards feature a Valentine-related picture, but they also have the corresponding word printed underneath each picture. They will get to work their brains to try and remember where they saw a certain image, but they will also be able to retrieve where they saw a certain word. This is great differentiation for young learners. They will love playing this memory game and ramping up the competition along the way. This is a set of five fun Valentine's Day games to make your classroom party even more fun! How To Use This: Print the games you want to use, laminate if desired, and let your students have fun! What You Get: 1) "How Many Candies Are In This Jar" label Grab a jar and fill it with any Valentine' Day candy of your choice. Print this label and attach it to the candy jar. Let each child guess how many candies, write their name on their slips of paper, and put them into another bowl or jar. Later, count and see which child had the closest guess. The child with the closest guess wins the whole jar! 2) A-Z Valentine's Day Game (Think of Valentine's items that begin with each letter of the alphabet) This is a 1-page printable with the letters A to Z on it. Students can work alone, in partners, or small groups to complete this printable during your class party. Students will write a Valentine's item that begins with each letter. They get 1 point for each correct answer. The student (or pair/group) with the most points win. 3) Valentine's Day Tic-Tac-Toe board (You could use Valentines candies as markers!) This is a classic game that we all know and love, even your students! They will love the high-stakes competition. Be sure to laminate the boards, so they can play many times. 4) Roll-A-Cupid Game Students will build/draw their own Cupid with this fun dice game!! This is great for partners or small groups of 3.
