Autumn Number Match Game Spot It Style Cards for Numbers 0–30 This autumn number game is built on the idea of the classic “Spot It” style, but instead of pictures, the focus here is on numbers. Students practice recognizing numbers from 0 up to 30 while playing against each other in a quick, visual matching activity. I first used it in my math centers in October, when the fall theme felt right, and it has been easy to bring out again each year. The resource includes 93 cards in total. There are three full decks of 31 cards each, and every two cards always share exactly one number in common. The decks come in three shapes—round, square, and hexagon—so you can choose what works best for your classroom. I usually cut one set of square cards for daily use because they are fastest to prepare, and then I keep the round set laminated for special occasions. The rules are simple. Each student gets a card. A card from the pile is placed in the middle, and everyone searches for the one number that appears on both. The first student to spot it calls it out and collects the card. The winner is the one with the most cards at the end. The pace keeps the game lively, and students naturally want to play more than once. What I like about this game is the flexibility. For beginners, I often reduce the range to numbers 0–10 so it feels manageable. Later I expand to 0–20 or the full 0–30. Some groups add their own rules, like playing in teams or keeping tally marks on a score sheet, which gives them extra practice with recording numbers. It works well as a math center, a partner game, or as an activity for early finishers. Because it takes only a few minutes to explain, I sometimes use it at the end of class when we have a little extra time. The autumn design makes it seasonal, but the math practice—recognizing and saying numbers—fits into any unit on counting and number sense. Preparation is easy: print the cards, cut them out, and laminate if you want them to last longer. I store mine in small envelopes so they are ready whenever I need them. These football alphabet cards are perfect for students who are learning with a sports theme. They make the perfect tool for students to learn the letters of the alphabet. What is Included: This set includes one capital letter card and one lowercase letter card for each letter. Ways to Use the Cards: Play a matching game by matching the capital letters to the lowercase letters. Attach a paper clip to a letter card and use a magnetic fishing pole to "catch" the letters for a fun fishing game. Use a sand or salt tray for students to practice writing the letters on each card. Have students find the letters that you have hidden around the room for a fun letter hunt. Place the letter cards in alphabetical order. Create a pocket char game where you place the cards on a pocket chart and hide a picture behind one of the letters. The students will guess which letter the hidden picture is behind. Add objects that begin with each letter for students to match to each letter card. When to Use: Literacy Center - Place the cards in a literacy center for students to match independently or with a partner. Morning Tubs or Baskets - Place the cards in a morning bin for students to work on while their classmates arrive to class. Small Group Activities - The teacher can pull aside a small group of students who need extra practice identifying letters to use these cards. These football alphabet cards are a great activity for students to practice letter recognition. They are a low prep activity for teachers to prepare for students. Simply print, cut apart and laminate for durability. These cards can be stored in a task box for easy set up, clean up, and storage. Skills Assessed: These cards, depending on the materials added, can assess both letter recognition of capital and lowercase letters as well as identifying beginning sounds.

Fall Domino Game Numbers 0–30 and Number Words This autumn domino game is a hands-on way for students to practice both numbers and number words from 0 to 30. I introduced it during the fall term with my grade 1 class, and the students immediately understood the rules because it follows the familiar domino format. The seasonal design added a nice touch, but the main benefit was the repeated practice with connecting numbers and words. The set includes 68 cards in total, with two different versions. One version shows the standard number words, while the second version breaks the words into syllables. I noticed that the syllable version was especially helpful for younger readers or for students who still found longer number words challenging. Words such as “seventeen” or “twenty-four” became easier to read and pronounce when broken down into smaller parts. The game can be adjusted by number range, which makes it easy to differentiate. With beginners, I often start with 0–10 so that the game feels manageable. Later I expand the set to 0–20, and eventually the full 0–30 for more advanced groups. Because of this flexibility, the same set can be reused throughout the year with different levels of learners. There are several ways to play. In small groups, students take turns matching numbers with the correct number words, trying to be the first to play all their cards. In a whole-class setting, I sometimes spread the cards across the floor and let students work together to build one long domino chain. This version turns the game into a collaborative activity and gets everyone moving while still practicing number recognition. Preparation is simple. Print the cards, cut them apart, and laminate them if you want to reuse the set in future years. I keep mine in small envelopes labeled with 0–10, 0–20, and 0–30 so I can quickly pull the right range for each group. Apple Craft Template - There is one apple craft template page for students to color or decorate, and then cut out and glue together to create their own apple. These worksheets make great independent practice, emergency sub plans, and can even be used for homework. These apple themed worksheets are no prep. The teacher just simply needs to print out the desired pages and hand them to students to complete. The alphabet mazes, prewriting pages, tracing letter pages and missing letter pages can be laminated to create a reusable write and wipe activity.

Many of our students, young and old, enjoy putting their tech skills to use. It is always impactful when we can give them opportunities to show what they know and/or teach them new things! This is a Pixel Pics Spreadsheet Activity. It is the Fall Edition. This activity would work for any age of students who have learned about different computer applications, including Google Spreadsheets. Students will be given access to 1 spreadsheet. On this spreadsheet, there are 5 tabs. Students can complete all 5 tabs, you can assign which tabs you want them to complete, or you can let the students choose which ones to complete. Apple Juice Ordering by Size

Place the apple juice in order by size, from biggest to smallest or smallest to biggest with this fun apple themed activity . Kindergarteners and first graders will have fun and stay engaged as they complete this size ordering math center. Activities for this Ordering by Size Activity There is one worksheet for ordering from biggest to smallest and one worksheet for ordering from smallest to biggest. There is also one set of ordering by size cards. Students will gain practice with non-standard measurements by ordering the size of the wreaths from big to small or small to big. Teachers can choose to give students one of the cut and paste worksheets or the picture cards to sort the cards into the appropriate order. When to Use: Math Centers - The teacher can place the cards and worksheets in a math center for students to complete. Small Group Activities - Teachers can pull aside a small group of students who need extra practice with ordering by size to complete with the teacher's assistance. Morning Work, Baskets, or Tubs - The worksheets make a great morning work activity while the cards can be placed in a bin for students to work on as their classmates arrive to class. Homework - The worksheets can be sent home has homework for students to complete with their parents. Sub Plans - This activity is a great activity to leave for a sub to use with students and they make a great addition to any emergency sub plan. The two worksheets are no-prep. They just need to be printed out and handed to students to complete. Due to the cut and paste nature, students will need scissors and glue to complete. The cards are low prep, and just need to be printed and cut apart. Laminate for durability, if desired. Skills Assessed: These worksheets and cards assess a student's ability to successfully order objects according to size.

Make learning about apples fun with this apple science experiment. Students will practice making predictions, conducting an experiment, and recording their results with this apple sink or float experiment. What is Included: There is a detailed instructional page that provides detailed instructions for the experiment, a materials list needed, and any special tips or optional activities to complete with this experiment. There is a recording page with easy to follow directions for students to draw or color their predictions and record the results of the experiment. There are two journaling pages students can use to record their results and write about what they observed during the experiment. One journal page includes picture clues to guide students in their responses, while the other is a simple journal page for students to draw whatever they wish and then write their responses. What is the Experiment? This experiment is an apple sink or float experiment. Students will use a whole apple as well as different parts of an apple to see if they sink or float in a bucket of water. This experiment allows students to learn about buoyancy. How to Use: Students can work in small groups of 2 or 3 to complete this experiment. The teacher may also choose to lead the experiment with the whole group of students. Each method allows students to make predictions and record results on their own. This science experiment is perfect for young learners. The easy to follow instructions and scaffolded recording and journaling pages help students through completing the experiment. While setting up the experiment does take material and time to do, the recording pages and journaling pages are no-prep, making this an easy activity to prepare for students. The low prep experiment is a great addition to any busy classroom or home school environment.

These preschool worksheets focus on number recognition, number formation, counting, picture addition, graphing and comparing numbers. What is Included: Number Mazes - There are two number mazes for students to color or dot the numbers in order to complete the maze. One maze is for numbers 1 to 10. The second maze is for 1 to 20. Roll and Cover - Students will roll a die and then cover the apple that matches the number rolled. Build It Up - Students will use counting cubes or other stacking manipulatives to build to the number on each apple. Counting Cut and Paste - Students will count the number of objects on each line then paste the correct number next to the pictures. Five and Tens Frames - Students will color the five or tens frames to show the number represented on each apple. Picture Addition - Students will glue the answers to each picture addition problem in the correct spot. Apple Graphing Worksheet - Students will count the pictures and then color the graph with the appropriate amounts. Missing Numbers - Students will write the missing numbers in each number sequence. Comparing Numbers - Students will count the objects and determine which group has more or less. Number Order - Students will glue the numbers in the correct order from 1 to 10. Shape Tracing - Students will trace each shape. Number Tracing - Students will trace each number from 1 to 9. Roll and Cover - Students will roll a die and then color one of the pictures above the number rolled. They will repeat until one column is completely colored in. Apple Graphing Class Activity - Each student will color their apple with which apple they like the best (red, yellow or green) and then they will great a class graph with their apples. Apple Basket Counting - Students will color the correct number of apples in each basket. These worksheets make great independent practice, emergency sub plans, and can even be used for homework. These apple themed worksheets are no prep. The teacher just simply needs to print out the desired pages and hand them to students to complete. The number mazes, roll and cover page, built it up page, tracing number pages and missing number pages can be laminated to create a reusable write and wipe activity.
