Letter T Playdough Mats
ELA, Language Development, Phonics, Kindergarten, Preschool, Activities
These letter T playdough mats allow students to build those fine motor muscles while learning about things that begin with the letter T. Each mat features an easy to recognize picture of a word that starts with T for students to use playdough to create. These mats are suitable to preschoolers and kindergartners who are learning about the initial sound of the letter S and those who need extra practice building up their fine motor skills. There are 5 different playdough mats in this set: T is for ten. T is for tree. T is for tie. T is for tooth. T is for tortoise. Students can build their creations on the table top or directly on the playdough mat if laminated or placed in page protectors. When to Use Fine Motor Center Playdough Center Alphabet Center Literacy Center Independent Activity Small Group Activity Morning Tub or Basket Activity Table Top Activity Skills Assessed Fine Motor Skills Color Matching Beginning Sounds Letter Recognition The playdough mats themselves are no prep. The teacher will simply print them out, and laminate them if desired and place them in the appropriate center or activity area. All that needs to be added to this activity is different colored playdough or clay. These mats not only provide a fun and engaging activity for students to practice fine motor skills, they also provide a way for students to associate the initial sound of the letter T to recognizable pictures. Teachers will love the easy set up for this center activity. By laminating these pages, teachers will have a reusable playdough center for students to use over and over. The playdough should not stick to the laminated pages. If laminating is not an option, I would recommend placing the playdough mats inside of page protectors or in plastic sleeves. The playdough will not stick to their surfaces as well.

Intro to Logarithms Lesson
Math, Algebra, Grade 10, 11, 12, Lesson Plans, Teacher Tools
In this Intro to Logarithms Activity, high school students will begin think about the topic of logarithms in a simple way. Logarithms are so different than what students are used to, it can be a challenge to teach. However, once students can translate logarithms into simple questions, their initial confusion goes away. Their focus is shifted from the math symbols to a question, which is naturally easier to think about. In many cases, the answers become almost instantly apparent. This is an activity designed for 10th – 12th grade students. Purpose of the lesson: For students to get used to reading/writing logarithms as questions. For students to see that they currently don’t have a “tool” to isolate an exponent. (This is highlighted in Example 2 & Practice 2. They don’t have an answer for the far-right column of the table, so it’s left as a question mark.) For students to develop fluidity in moving between exponential and logarithmic forms. This PowerPoint will begin with a Do Now that will set the foundation for the activity. Students will be posed with 1 essential question, that serves as the objectives for them. How do I simplify and rewrite logarithmic expressions? Each slide provides steps for students to complete as well as a time limit for completion. This is an editable presentation, so you will be able to tweak times to fit your students’ needs. A printable handout is included, so students can complete their guided notes as they work to solve each problem. I hope you enjoy! Ugly Duckling Puppets
ELA, Reading, Reading Comprehension, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, Activities
This set of popsicle stick puppets is for the classic fairy tales The Ugly Duckling Story. My favorite version is the Walt Disney's The Ugly Duckling (Little Golden Book) written by Annie North Bedford and illustrated by The Walt Disney Studio. This puppet set is a great and fun activity for pre school, kindergarten, and first grade students in class or at home. This set can help your students to connect, remember and retell the story to others. I hope these puppets are useful in your future story adventures at home or in the classroom. Materials for 1 set: 3 to 5 popsicle sticks crayons or color pencils 1 puppet page Instructions: Color puppets, cut on doted line or outer edge, glue each to a popsicle stick. For the 3 Duckling I would put the 3 Duckling on one side and the 3 Adult Ducks on the other side. It would be the same idea with the Ugly Duckling and Adult Ugly Duckling or Swan. On the downloadable and printable page there is 5 puppets. Which are 1 Ugly Duckling, 1 Adult Ugly Duckling, 1 Mama Duck, 1 group of 3 Ducklings, and 1 group of 3 Adult Ducklings.

GCSE Literature: (10) ‘An Inspector Calls’ Act 2 Part 3 (‘The Interrogation of Mrs. Birling’ to ‘End of Act 2)
ELA, Literature, Grade 9, 10, 11, 12, Teacher Tools, Lesson Plans
GCSE Literature: (10) ‘An Inspector Calls’ Act 2 Part 3 (‘The Interrogation of Mrs. Birling’ to ‘End of Act 2) JB Priestley’s timeless classic attacks the class system and sexual bias. In a tense setting, the Birling family are put on trial by the ghostly Inspector Goole and made to confront the outcomes of their discrimination towards the working-classes. In our post-modern world, the class system and its privileges are currently on trial in many different ways. Therefore, this text remains essential reading for our students. I have taught this text many times over the last twenty years and I have used this specific resource (revised in 2021) to: lead my teaching in class, as a distance learning material in online lessons, as a homework assignment and even as a tool of revision – All have worked well for the students. This dynamically presented PowerPoint lesson (20 slides, approximately ninety minutes teaching time) includes: a starter activity, summary and analysis questions, an academic writing task, a theme tracking challenge, an extension task connected to critical vocabulary, a homework assignment and a plenary. This is a complete resource with no further work required from the teacher.
