It introduces the terms: Point (stated in the topic sentence & the concluding sentence): says what the paragraph is about by making a claim or sharing an opinion Evidence: a fact, statistic, example, or quotation from a text that supports your point Explanation: your explanation and analysis of why the evidence supports your point Then it teaches students how to use these kinds of sentences to create a cohesive paragraph. Colour-coding is used to make the information more visual, but the pages can also be printed in black and white. What's Included: 10 Page PDF ready to print and go! Title Page/Teacher Instructions Student Handout with all of the necessary terminology: Students can refer back to this again and again! Seven engaging activities are included: Two cut-and-paste sample paragraph activities: These activities have 5 sentences which are mixed up. This Olympic Themed Class Numbers, Word Wall Letters, and Sharp/Dull Labels resource is great to add a little Olympic flair to your classroom! Included in this resource are: Two versions of class numbers, going from 1-60, with 6 numbers per page. If you need them smaller, you can print two pages per sheet. There is a thin print font and a thick print font. Three sizes of word wall letters (6 letters per page, 3 letters per page, and 2 letters per page) and three font variations - one thin printed, one thick printed, and one cursive so you can use them as a word wall or alphabet display. "Sharp" and "Dull" pencil container labels in three different font options so you can match your word wall decor. I use these to help with pencil management so students can get their pencils sharpened and get sharpened ones without disrupting class. All of these items are available for individual download (see the links below). This is a ready-to-print and use resource to use as reference for morning routines, or simply to decorate.
