Multiplication Charts: 3rd Grade 4th Grade 5th Grade 6th Grade
Special Resources, Math, Early Math, Multiplication and Division, Division, Special Education Needs (SEN), Grade 3, 4, 5, 6, Charts, Teacher Tools
These multiplication charts or times table grids start out with a standard 10 by 10 grid that teachers and students might be familiar with. Then, level by level, a single times table is taken away each time. I suggest teaching a mini-lesson or spending a class on each separate times table until you believe that your student or students comprehend how to calculate its facts. - 1: one times any number is that number - 10: add a zero when multiplying by ten - 2: double a number or count by twos - 5: count by fives & ends in 5 or 0 - 3: count by threes - 9: use the nine times finger trick - 4: double double This leaves just 6 times tables facts left for students to memorize: (6x6, 6x7, 6x8, 7x7, 7x8, and 8x8) You can print any number of the grids for your students to use (that way you can adapt for each student's unique needs). If you feel confident that your student knows his or her 1 and 10 tables, print them a chart without those facts so they can challenge themselves to recall them. This supports students as they work toward multiplication mastery step by step! What's Included: 9 Page PDF - 8 levelled multiplication grids in pastel colors - 8 levelled multiplication grids in B&W Grades to Use With: These could be useful in grade 3 as students start to learn their times tables. They could also be a handy tool for students in older grades who have IEPs that call for math adaptations or accommodations.
