We have so many new skills to teach our young learners, so ensuring that we can keep them engaged very early on is so important. Two ways to do this is by incorporating topics they are interested in and by providing them with hands-on activities. This is a Busy Learning More Shapes Activity that is great for your 1st and 2nd grade students. You can use this to introduce shapes or review it for students who have already mastered shape identification. It is a 4-page printable. You may choose to print copies of each page for every student to complete as a cut and paste activity . It may also be good to print a few copies and laminate them for repeated use. If you choose to laminate them, you can attach Velcro dots to the colored shapes so students can match them up. Students would also be able to use dry erase markers to trace the names of the shapes. On the first two pages, you have the outlined shapes with their names inside of the shapes. Students will trace the names of the shapes. On the last two pages, you have the colorful shapes without their names printed. TASK STRIPS : VOCABULARY CATEGORIES | SEMANTICS REASONING PRACTICE CARDS . This tool is designed for educators looking to help students build a solid understanding of semantic reasoning and categorization . The task strips are perfect teaching resources, especially for preschool through first grade classes, including those needing specialized treatment such as Speech Therapy exercises . With an activity -oriented approach in mind, students can widen their vocabulary and comprehension skills with the use of visual aids . Each strip contains three images to help learners spot similarities and differences between related items . There's also an empty slot for student interaction as they choose the symbol that best completes the category . With this resource, you have everything you'd ever want when it comes to practicing possessive pronouns. There are printables and digital PDF based activities that are part of this set. Just launch the digital file and let your students go at it. The wonderful thing about this resources is the fact that students can do it all by themselves. In the first digital activity, students need to identify the correct possessive pronoun to fill in the sentence. In the second activity, they need to be able to identify this type of pronoun by selecting the correct form. And then there is the printable quiz. This features the same questions. This allows you to choose between digital or printable. An answer key is also included for both the mixed quiz as well as the original one. All and all, this set has everything you need to really get started on teaching pronouns!
