You can laminate each student's page or place them in a protective sheet so that they can stay nicely in their desks. Display the directions on the board or have them printed-out on large poster paper. Teaching the "Trace and Breathe" skill is essential to providing your students a structured way to practice mindfulness, control their heart rate and breathing, and transition from a high to a low-energy activity. The Trace and Breathe series can also be used as an essential piece to a calming corner in your classroom! Create a comfortable, calm space where your students can go when they need to cool down. Teach expectations around when it is appropriate for students to use this corner in the beginning of the year. Then, create a binder with lots of different designs the students can choose from. Place the directions to the Trace and Breathe activity on the wall near the calming corner. Then, as needed, students can visit the calming corner, pull-out the Trace and Breathe binder, pick a design that speaks to them, and engage in a moment of meaningful mindfulness!

Math, Algebra, Geometry, Grade 9, 10, 11, 12, Graphic Organizers, Teacher Tools

This is a Quad Graphic Organizer Bundle for your math students. This resource is split up into groups. Each group contains the following resources: Group 1 based on Exclusive Definitions • Definitions & Theorems Graphic Organizers • Classification Summary Sheet • Classification Bingo Game Group 2 based on Inclusive Definitions • Definitions & Theorems Graphic Organizers • Classification Summary Sheet • Classification Bingo Game Suggested Use I personally only teach the Exclusive Definitions per our curriculum. However, I know some schools teach Inclusive Definitions, and others teach both in order to compare them. This resource allows for all three options, depending on school requirements and teacher preference. Exclusive vs. Inclusive There are two basic systems used to define quadrilaterals: Exclusive and Inclusive. These two systems have many similarities, but they also have key differences. These differences involve 3 definition changes as summarized in the table included. I hope you enjoy! Alkali Metals Concept Wheel – Interactive Chemistry Activity for Grade

Alkali Metals Concept Wheel – Interactive Chemistry Activity for Grade
STEM, Science, Chemistry, Physics, Life Sciences, Grade 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, Activities, Games, Worksheets & Printables, Quizzes and Tests, Teacher Tools, Worksheets, Flashcards, Projects, Presentations, Graphic Organizers

Alkali Metals Concept Wheel – Interactive Chemistry Activity for Grades 7–10 Learn Alkali Metals - visual learning 🧪🧠 This concept wheel is a practical way to help students understand the alkali metals in Group 1 of the periodic table. I first made it for a grade 8 class that was struggling with the idea of chemical families. Instead of giving them another chart to copy, I tried this wheel activity, and it worked much better because they could see and handle the information piece by piece. The wheel has eight sections that cover the basics: general properties, reactivity, how these elements appear in nature, and some everyday uses. Students cut out and arrange the pieces to build the full circle. The activity takes a little bit of preparation, but once the pieces are made, you can reuse them. I usually store the sets in small envelopes so they are ready for the next lesson. There are different versions included. Some circles are already filled in, which is helpful when introducing the topic for the first time. Others are blank, so students can write their own notes after a lab or reading assignment. I have used the blank ones during review sessions, and students liked comparing their wheels with a partner’s version. It also gives them a sense of ownership over the material. The wheel can be used in many ways: as a warm-up before a lab, as practice during a unit on the periodic table, or as a review before a quiz. It works for group tasks, but I have also had students complete it on their own. When the wheels are finished, they make a clear visual display for the classroom or for a student’s notebook. This activity is designed for grades 7–10 chemistry or physical science. It supports lessons on periodic trends, classification of elements, and the special role of the alkali metals. 📍 Best wishes, Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? September 11th, 2001: Graphic Organizer

September 11th, 2001: Graphic Organizer
Social Studies, History, History: USA, Grade 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Teacher Tools, Graphic Organizers

Teaching about the monumental moments in history isn't just part of our job—it's a calling. One of those watershed moments, without a doubt, is the 9/11 attacks of 2001. Orchestrated by al-Qaeda, this day didn't just change the skyline of New York; it changed the fabric of the United States and shifted its trajectory on the global front. While many of us can still feel the weight of the smoke-filled air as we watched the World Trade Center towers fall, or the heartbreak hearing the tales of heroism from Flight 93, we must recognize that for a good number of our students, this day is a story from before their time. Our challenge—and indeed, our responsibility—is to bridge that gap, making the stories of that day both tangible and understandable. One way to navigate this is with clear, structured notes. Think of it as connecting the dots: breaking down complex events and pairing them with firsthand accounts, like President George W. Bush's immediate reactions, helps paint a fuller picture for our students. In our shared goal to enlighten and inform, I've put together a resource that walks through 9/11. For us educators, there's a comprehensive version, and for our students, an interactive one designed to pique their curiosity and encourage active participation. Ready to use, these tools are designed to make our task a tad easier while ensuring our students gain a thorough understanding. By weaving this resource into our lessons, we're taking our students by the hand and guiding them through one of the most consequential days in recent history. It's so vital they grasp the magnitude and nuances of such events, and I truly think this tool will be a cornerstone in that effort. This product comes with a completed teacher version and a fill-in-the-blanks version. Ready to print and ready to use. Great format to help students learn.

Match Letters - Identical and Non-identical Sorting Activity

Match Letters - Identical and Non-identical Sorting Activity
ELA, Language Development, Pre-Reading, Preschool, Kindergarten, Grade 1, Activities

Match Letters - Identical and Non-identical Sorting Activity This alphabet matching activity provides multiple templates for students to practice identifying, sorting, and matching upper and lowercase letters. Educators can use these materials in whole group, small group, or individual settings to support letter recognition, an essential early literacy skill. The customizable templates allow teachers to tailor the activity to students' developmental levels. For example, emergent readers may focus on matching identical upper and lowercase letter pairs like Aa and Bb. More advanced students can challenge themselves by identifying non-identical letter matches like a-Z or m-M. Teachers appreciate the flexibility to reprint materials as needed to provide ongoing letter practice throughout the school year. This hands-on letter sorting activity engages young learners in identifying, discriminating between, and matching upper and lowercase letters. As students gain competency matching identical and non-identical letter pairs, they build the letter knowledge that underpins early reading success. Educators value having multiple templates to use this activity again and again to reinforce letter recognition skills.
