They'll beocme more familiar with the shape and look of numbers while practicing fine motor skills. Lacing activities are perfect for preschoolers! This is a double-dipping activity ! At this age- kids learn so much more easily when they can move, wiggle, and be creative! Kids brains can't resist lacing activities! Have some tactile number fun! Enjoy! How To Use This: Decide which numbers you want to print. Print these pages on card stock- they need to be as sturdy as possible. Cut out each number. Laminate if you would like to reuse these lacing cards. Use a hole puncher to punch holes along the indicated black dots. Pass out these cards to your students along with yard, string, or shoelaces to weave, thread, and lace. These lacing cards are perfect for math centers or independent learning. You could even send them home to practice lacing with their friends and families. They're great to give to early finishers or as a break from more difficult work that requires concentration. If you want to save for the next year, save in a bag or folder in a way that they'll stay flat.
