Connecting Addition and Subtraction to 10 - Kindergarten

Connecting Addition and Subtraction to 10 - Kindergarten
Common Core, Math, Addition and Subtraction, Addition, Subtraction, Basic Operations, Early Math, Counting, Fact Families, Numbers, Kindergarten, Worksheets & Printables, Teacher Tools, Presentations

This pack of resources is ideal preparation for the more formal work with building fluency in addition and subtraction with equations This collection offers a comprehensive approach to teaching the connection between addition and subtraction. It provides various perspectives, including viewing them as inverse operations, opposite actions, or movements on a number line. The materials are designed to support educators through five stages with worksheets and interactive teaching tools. 1. Commutative Addition Students count objects and fill in two addition equations, demonstrating addition's commutative property. 2. Subtraction Practice Learners count objects and complete two subtraction equations. 3. Number Bond Exploration Starting with a review of number bonds, four worksheet sets focus on finding sums or parts up to 10. A blank template is included for custom challenges or student-created worksheets. 4. Number Family Connections Building on previous lessons, students construct four possible equations using three related numbers. 5. Number Lines Students explore how adding and subtracting the same number returns them to the starting point, illustrating the inverse relationship. How many Worksheets in each Set ? Almost unlimited At the click of a button all numbers are randomised, so the questions change every time. This will allow you to create as many new worksheets you will need for practice throughout the year (classwork, homework, revision, fillers etc) or even give small groups of students in your class different sets of questions either at the same level or differentiated. There will certainly be enough to ensure fluency in this topic. As these worksheets need little explanation, they are ideal if you need to leave work for a replacement teacher. Answers can be found on the second page of every worksheet, automatically generated when you create a new worksheet. Note These resources are PDF documents and work with the official Adobe Acrobat Reader on Windows or Mac computers with the randomising buttons also working via a touchscreen (PC or Mac)or on an Interactive Whiteboard. Common Core: K.OA.A.1, K.OA.A.3

Probability Word Problems Middle School Probability of Compound Events
Math, Statistics, Fractions, Decimals, Percentages, Grade 6, 7, 8, Worksheets & Printables, Word Problems, Worksheets

This middle school (grades 6-8) probability lesson and worksheet has three parts to help your class understand the probability of compound events (2 events that both occur but do not affect one another) and how to write probabilities as decimals and percentages. How it Works: There are two "casino games" presented. Each has two steps and specific rules. 1) Students first determine the theoretical probability (in fractions, decimals, or percents) of the casino game that has a spinner and a die and three different outcomes. 2) Students next determine the theoretical probability (in fractions, decimals or percents) of the casino game that has a penny and a die and three different outcomes. 3) Finally, students will compare the two games and pick which game they would choose to play using their math calculations as justification. Students can use fractions, decimals, or percents to figure out the theoretical probabilities from these two games. They will notice that all the outcomes in one game will always add to 1.00 or 100% This lesson is specifically created to target 7th Grade Statistics Learning Outcomes 7.SP.C.5 and 7.SP.C.8 What's Included: 5 Page PDF- Ready to Print and Use! - Teacher Instructions - 3-Page Student Worksheet with 2 Casino Games, Calculation Tables, and Written Reflection - COMPLETE ANSWER KEY INCLUDED If you like this activity, check out other probability options in my store! Alphabetical Order

Alphabetical Order
ELA, Writing, Grade 2, 3, 4, Activities

This product is great for 2nd, 3rd, or 4th graders. Students practice the skill of alphabetical order. This is a skill that we often think of with just primary students. But I've found a lot of 3rd graders struggle with this concept. Students practice writing words in ABC order. The pages are organized into 11 different themes to be used throughout the school year. These can be used as practice or for a quick assessment. The themes are: Back to School, Colors, Sports, Vehicles, Holidays, Autumn, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Winter, Christmas, and Summer. Each theme has two different options to complete depending on your students' levels. You could choose to just complete one of these options. OR, you could give one option to some students and the other option to others. OR, you could give the option where the words are separated into 4 categories first. You could complete this whole group, or students could complete it in small groups. At a later time, you could then give the option of all of the words together as an assessment!

This is a Solving Equations Introduction Activity that your elementary students will love. The objective is for students to problem-solve to find the number of balls hidden inside boxes. This is an activity designed for 2nd – 4th grade students. It is a cooperative partner activity. Purpose of the lesson: --For students to try to solve equations (disguised so they don’t “look like” equations) by problem-solving. --For students to develop an intuitive process for solving an equation. --For students to see solving equations in a concrete, visual way (balls and boxes) before moving to the abstract (equations without context). The activity provides a low entry point so all students can engage and increase in rigor as the lesson progresses. As you work through each slide, you will be able to click "show solution" after time is up for students. A printable handout is included, so students can work together to complete their drawings as they work to solve each problem. I hope you enjoy!
