Cut & Glue: Opposites is an engaging language arts activity that helps students learn about opposites. This printable resource provides opportunities for students to cut out pictures and glue them next to the matching opposite word. Educators can use this as a whole group activity displayed on a classroom smartboard or individually as a center activity. At home, parents can let their child complete the activity independently or work through it together as a homeschool lesson. This creative task integrates cutting, matching, and fine motor skills practice with reading antonym word pairs like up/down, day/night, clean/dirty, etc. With multiple included images, students will be delighted as they learn to identify and classify opposites. This activity is perfect for early elementary grades.
