Sunflowers – Coloring Sheet | Helianthus annuus A simple activity to accompany science or seasonal lessons 🌻🖍️ This printable coloring sheet focuses on the sunflower ( Helianthus annuus ) and can be used to support lessons on plants, summer flowers, or as a quiet creative task in between more content-heavy subjects. It’s easy to integrate into primary classroom routines and works well as a one-lesson activity – no prep needed. The download includes two versions: one with a cheerful color frame and one in classic black and white, perfect for photocopying. Students can color the sunflower while reviewing what they’ve learned or as part of an introduction to summer plants and flower species. What’s included: One sunflower coloring page with decorative frame (PDF) Color version for digital or presentation use Black and white version for classroom copying I’ve used this sheet alongside our lesson on plant parts or after reading a short informational text about sunflowers. Some students like to label the parts of the flower directly on the page or write a short description on the back. It also works well in stations, during free work time, or in a substitute lesson when you need something calm and creative. If you’re working on a seasonal theme, this sheet pairs nicely with other sunflower materials – like nonfiction texts, vocabulary work, or mini research tasks. It helps younger students connect scientific observation with creativity and gives them a chance to slow down and focus. This resource is ready to print and use in class or at home. 📍 Best wishes, Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? Music Writing Sheets with Decorative Layout
Seasons, Holiday & Seasonal, Summer, Spring, Common Core, ELA, Language Development, Music, Creative Arts, Dance, Homeschool Templates, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Activities, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets, Projects, Classroom Decor, Bulletin Boards, Posters, Teacher Tools, Templates, Coloring Pages
Music Writing Sheets with Decorative Layout Create space for creativity in music class – with printable sheets for composing, notating, or practicing music theory 🎵✍️ PNG + PDF These music-themed worksheets offer a quiet and motivating way for students to engage with musical notation. Each sheet includes clearly spaced music lineatures (staff lines) and gentle decorative elements to make the learning experience both structured and enjoyable. The color tones of the staff lines are matched to the overall design, giving the pages a calm, coherent look – without overwhelming students who are still learning to read or write music. Whether you’re asking students to notate simple melodies, copy rhythms, or compose short pieces, these pages provide a flexible format that supports focus and neatness. They’re also great for music journals, theory exercises, or creative music tasks. What’s included: A selection of PDF music writing pages with pre-printed lineatures Decorative design elements in subtle tones Coordinated ruling colors for better visual harmony Format: Printable or usable in digital notebooks (e.g., GoodNotes, Notability) PNG Format Ideas for classroom use: In my own music classes, I use these sheets for short composition tasks or to write down musical ideas after listening to a piece. They also work well in project folders or as part of student portfolios. Some of my students like to use them during free work time – writing down simple melodies they've invented or even illustrating their musical ideas. For students who are easily overwhelmed by plain staff paper, the friendly design can reduce the fear of the blank page. The format works well in both primary and lower secondary settings – and it's a great way to combine structure with freedom in creative tasks. These pages don’t replace formal music workbooks – but they’re a welcome addition when you want students to engage with music more openly and personally. Best, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? Decorative Writing Sheets for Secondary Students
Science, Seasons, Holiday & Seasonal, Summer, Spring, Common Core, Handwriting, Writing, ELA, Math, Homeschool Templates, Activities, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets, Projects, Classroom Decor, Bulletin Boards, Posters, Teacher Tools, Templates, Coloring Pages
Decorative Writing Sheets for Secondary Students Versatile ruled pages for writing, organizing, and personalizing classroom work – in a calm and appealing design 📝🌿 PNG + PDF These decorative worksheets were created with older students in mind. They combine a clean, thoughtful layout with subtle design elements that make them suitable for many classroom contexts – from creative writing to structured math problems. Each page features light, subject-neutral decorations and matching rulings. The rulings are clearly visible but not too dominant, and their colors are coordinated with the overall design. This small detail gives the pages a more polished, motivating look – without distracting from the actual task. What’s included: A selection of printable decorative writing sheets with lines All designs with age-appropriate, calm visuals Rulings in matched color tones for a cohesive appearance PDF format – great for print or digital notebooks (e.g. GoodNotes, Notability) PNG Format Ideas for classroom use: I’ve used these kinds of pages in various ways – for summaries, vocabulary practice, reflections, and even small-scale presentations. Some students appreciate having a “special” page to write on for final drafts or project titles. They’re also useful for open tasks: students might choose how to use the space, which supports creative thinking and independence. Because the sheets are not content-bound, they work well across subjects. Whether you’re teaching language arts, science, or social studies, you can adapt them to your lesson. I’ve even let students use them for personal notes or as covers for their portfolios. They also serve well during quieter phases, in tutoring settings, or as part of personalized learning folders. And for digital classrooms, students can fill them out using a stylus or keyboard. A simple, flexible resource – and a small visual upgrade that shows students their work matters. Decorative Writing Sheets for Primary Students Printable ruled pages with child-friendly designs – for writing, practicing, and learning across subjects ✏️🌈 PNG + PDF These decorative worksheets were created especially for use in primary classrooms. Each sheet includes child-friendly rulings that support early writing skills and help students structure their ideas more clearly. What makes these pages extra special is their soft, coordinated design: the line colors match the surrounding illustrations, creating a calm and motivating look that many children really enjoy. Whether you're working on writing short stories, practicing letters, solving simple math problems, or even introducing music notation – these pages give students a visually appealing and structured space to work in. What’s included: A variety of printable worksheets with age-appropriate writing lines Gentle, decorative themes suited for younger learners Coordinated line colors for a neat and balanced appearance PDF format – ideal for printouts or digital notebooks (GoodNotes, Notability) PNG Format Classroom ideas: I’ve used these pages for journal entries, creative writing, dictations, and short-answer tasks. Many of my students take more care with their handwriting when they’re given a well-designed page to work on – a little aesthetic motivation goes a long way. Because the designs are subtle and not theme-locked, you can use them all year long. Some children even enjoy choosing their favorite version before starting a task – which can be a nice moment of autonomy in a structured lesson. These sheets are simple, flexible, and designed with classroom reality in mind – especially for younger learners who benefit from clear structure and a bit of visual encouragement. Watercolor Backgrounds – 10 Designs for Teaching Materials and Creative Projects (A4 Format) PNG + PDF Over the years, I’ve realized how much a soft and thoughtfully chosen background can influence the overall tone of a worksheet, project, or presentation. Especially when working with younger learners—or just trying to break away from the usual black-and-white documents—a watercolor-style background can make materials feel calmer, more inviting, and a little more special. This set includes 10 hand-designed watercolor backgrounds , all created by me in Procreate. They’re simple, versatile, and gentle in color, making them easy to combine with your own content—whether you're designing a worksheet, setting up a presentation, or putting together printable materials like task cards or signs. Each background comes in two formats : – PNG (with transparent or clean edges – ideal for digital work) – PDF (quick and ready to print) What you can use them for: – Designing worksheets or templates for student work – Presentation slides (PowerPoint, Keynote, Canva...) – Game cards or instruction sets – Greeting cards or classroom posters – Backdrops for reflection or writing pages – And much more I’ve personally used them for everything from laminated instructions at learning centers to cover pages for student portfolios. The soft watercolor look adds warmth without being distracting—and pairs well with both playful and more serious content. Usage notes: These backgrounds are available for private and classroom use , and you may also use them commercially within the educational field (e.g. in your own teaching materials), as long as your own content is clearly visible and credit is given (by naming me as the creator or linking to my store). Please don’t resell or distribute the files as standalone images. Have fun using these designs to give your materials a personal and creative touch. – Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? Let’s be honest, if you’ve ever tried to keep a bunch of energetic little learners busy and learning at the same time, you know it’s basically an Olympic event. Enter this Flowers Cutting Practice, Color Then Cut activity: the quiet-time hero you didn’t know you needed. It’s simple, fun, and secretly skill-building, just the way we like it. Kids get to color sweet, flower-themed pages first (because crayons are magic), and then cut out their masterpieces. Plus, it helps strengthen their scissor skills without anyone realizing they’re doing actual work. Win-win. How to Use It: ✔️ Morning warm-up : Something calm before the chaos. ✔️ Spring craft stations : A seasonal hit that looks adorable on bulletin boards. ✔️ Scissor practice : Because we’re not cutting spaghetti with hands anymore. ✔️ Creative free time : Keeps things hands-on, not screen-on. ✔️ Early finisher task : For those speedsters who are “done already.” Why It Works: 🌸 Helps build focus and fine motor skills 🌸 Super easy to prep (just print!) 🌸 Encourages independence 🌸 Adds a little color to everyone’s day Let them color. Let them cut. Let your sanity stay (mostly) intact. Pdf file includes 10 pages.
