Sunflowers – Coloring Sheet | Helianthus annuus A simple activity to accompany science or seasonal lessons 🌻🖍️ This printable coloring sheet focuses on the sunflower ( Helianthus annuus ) and can be used to support lessons on plants, summer flowers, or as a quiet creative task in between more content-heavy subjects. It’s easy to integrate into primary classroom routines and works well as a one-lesson activity – no prep needed. The download includes two versions: one with a cheerful color frame and one in classic black and white, perfect for photocopying. Students can color the sunflower while reviewing what they’ve learned or as part of an introduction to summer plants and flower species. What’s included: One sunflower coloring page with decorative frame (PDF) Color version for digital or presentation use Black and white version for classroom copying I’ve used this sheet alongside our lesson on plant parts or after reading a short informational text about sunflowers. Some students like to label the parts of the flower directly on the page or write a short description on the back. It also works well in stations, during free work time, or in a substitute lesson when you need something calm and creative. If you’re working on a seasonal theme, this sheet pairs nicely with other sunflower materials – like nonfiction texts, vocabulary work, or mini research tasks. It helps younger students connect scientific observation with creativity and gives them a chance to slow down and focus. This resource is ready to print and use in class or at home. 📍 Best wishes, Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? Valentine's Day Templates - Printable Greeting Cards & Coloring Sheet
Creative Arts, Valentine's Day, Holidays, Holiday & Seasonal, Community Building, Resources for Teachers, Special Resources, Life Skills, Social Skills, Speech Therapy, Homeschool Templates, Crafts, Activities, Centers, Projects, Bulletin Boards, Classroom Decor, Door Decor, Templates, Teacher Tools

I love to make printable greeting cards and bookmarks. Not only are they fun for kids to do but can be used to practice and build useful and important skills. For example, these cute Valentines Day cards with matching envelope template (5 x 7 finished size): Require students to cut out the cards and envelope template in order to create a finished card with a matching envelope. Cutting with scissors builds fine motor skills. When students fold the cards correctly as well as paste the envelope template correctly, they are developing (especially with the envelope template) problem solving skills in addition to the fine motor skills practice. Deciding who to give the card, writing out a greeting to the chosen person, and addressing the envelope will not only build social skills, but life skills that will always be needed throughout adulthood. Properly addressing the card and outside envelope will require proper capitalization and grammar and will develop handwriting skills as well. Students can work on their cards as a group. Teachers can create a special center for this project. Cards are blank on the inside so that students can decide what they want to say. They can also draw pictures if they are not reading or writing letters yet. The cards are not age specific. They can be created with pre-readers all the way up to adulthood. There are six (6) different foldable, 5 x 7-inch cards with the following sayings: All you need is Jesus Jesus loves you Be my valentine I love you Two of the cards contain a picture without a saying. One envelope template is included, which can be used with any 5 x 7 card besides the cards in the Valentines Day card pack. pdf downloadable file, each card is on a separate sheet of paper. Also included is a coloring sheet with a colored sheet students can use to match the colors or color their own way using their own chosen color scheme.

Soccer World Cup 2026 Pennant Banner – UK Classroom Decoration

Soccer World Cup 2026 Pennant Banner – UK Classroom Decoration

World Cup 2026 USA Pennant Banner I printed these pennants when my class started mentioning the World Cup. I wasn’t planning a full activity, but I wanted something small to reflect what was already on their minds. Some students colored the black-and-white version, others just helped cut and assemble. It worked well without taking much time. After that, I hung the banner across the board. It stayed up for a while and didn’t interfere with regular lessons. The design is simple, which I prefer for seasonal decorations. It’s visible, but not distracting. This is a printable PDF. You can print the colored version or let students personalize the pages. Then connect the pennants with string or ribbon. I usually don’t laminate unless I want to reuse it the following year. I’ve used similar decorations in upper elementary grades, though it would also work with older students during tournament weeks. 📍 Best wishes, Heike from @Lernfitness

CVC Words Worksheets - Cut and Glue

CVC Words Worksheets - Cut and Glue
ELA, Language Development, ESL, Phonics, Spelling, Vocabulary, Holiday & Seasonal, Holidays, Seasons, Back To School, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, Activities, Centers, Games, Teacher Tools, Assessments, Lesson Plans, Bulletin Boards, Classroom Decor, Posters

Let’s be honest, teaching CVC words can sometimes feel like trying to herd cats, adorable, distracted cats who’d rather talk about dinosaurs. That’s where these CVC Words Worksheets – Cut and Glue Edition come in. They’re fun, hands-on, and sneak in serious phonics practice while your students are busy cutting and gluing like it’s their job. In this activity, students complete each CVC word by choosing the correct missing vowel, cutting it out, and gluing it into place. It’s like a literacy puzzle party, and yes, they’re invited. Ways to Use: Phonics Centers: Because kids love anything that involves scissors and glue. Independent Practice: Keeps them focused (and quiet!) while building real skills. Homework (if you’re brave): Parents will thank you. Or at least not complain. Morning Work: Calm, quiet, and educational. That’s the dream, right? Early Finishers: Give them something purposeful to do that isn’t spinning in their chair. Why You’ll Love It: Hands-on learning that feels like play. Builds CVC word confidence, one vowel at a time. No prep required, print and go! Improves fine motor skills without chaos (mostly). Keeps little hands busy and little minds learning. Cut, glue, learn, and breathe, phonics just got a lot more fun. Pdf file includes 12 pages.

SOCIAL SKILLS CENTERS AND LIFE SKILLS CENTERS Greeting cards are perfect for fun activities for holidays and everyday use and are great for teaching social skills. Also, practical skills such as practice with addressing envelopes. Mailing out a card to a loved one is not as common as it used to be and will most likely pleasantly surprise the recipient plus the student will feel good about themselves for completing such a thoughtful project. SOCIAL STUDIES You could also use this project for social skills centers and as a basis for teaching about the changes in the world historically in regard to how people communicate much less commonly through "snail mail." MATH ACTIVITY IDEAS Also, you can integrate math activities. For example, the cost of a postage stamp and how much it would cost to send out 10 cards to friends/families (how many stamps you need to purchase multiplied by the number of stamps you need to buy). Another idea for a math activity would be to estimate how much time you need when you mail a card out to a friend or relative through the post office and how it would vary depending on how far away the recipient is. pdf downloadable file
