Sunflowers – Coloring Sheet | Helianthus annuus

Sunflowers – Coloring Sheet | Helianthus annuus A simple activity to accompany science or seasonal lessons 🌻🖍️ This printable coloring sheet focuses on the sunflower ( Helianthus annuus ) and can be used to support lessons on plants, summer flowers, or as a quiet creative task in between more content-heavy subjects. It’s easy to integrate into primary classroom routines and works well as a one-lesson activity – no prep needed. The download includes two versions: one with a cheerful color frame and one in classic black and white, perfect for photocopying. Students can color the sunflower while reviewing what they’ve learned or as part of an introduction to summer plants and flower species. What’s included: One sunflower coloring page with decorative frame (PDF) Color version for digital or presentation use Black and white version for classroom copying I’ve used this sheet alongside our lesson on plant parts or after reading a short informational text about sunflowers. Some students like to label the parts of the flower directly on the page or write a short description on the back. It also works well in stations, during free work time, or in a substitute lesson when you need something calm and creative. If you’re working on a seasonal theme, this sheet pairs nicely with other sunflower materials – like nonfiction texts, vocabulary work, or mini research tasks. It helps younger students connect scientific observation with creativity and gives them a chance to slow down and focus. This resource is ready to print and use in class or at home. 📍 Best wishes, Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? Math Writing Sheets with Decorative Grid Boxes
Seasons, Holiday & Seasonal, Summer, Spring, Common Core, Math, Early Math, Graphing, Basic Operations, Geometry, Homeschool Templates, Activities, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets, Projects, Classroom Decor, Bulletin Boards, Posters, Teacher Tools, Templates, Diagrams
Math Writing Sheets with Decorative Grid Boxes Printable graph paper with a subtle design twist – for math tasks, creative problem solving, or structured writing 📐✏️ PNG + PDF These decorative math sheets combine practical structure with visual appeal. Designed especially for math lessons, they feature a box-style ruling (also known as graph or squared paper) and gentle decorative elements that frame the workspace without distracting from the task. The colors of the rulings match the surrounding design, giving each page a calm and balanced look. Whether you’re preparing math exercises, practicing place value, or creating space for geometry sketches – these sheets provide a flexible foundation. The structured grid supports clear number alignment and helps students organize their work, especially those who benefit from visual guidance. What’s included: A variety of printable decorative worksheets with math box rulings Rulings in colors matched to the design Subtle seasonal or subject-neutral decorations PDF format – for printing or use in digital notebooks (e.g. GoodNotes, Notability) PNG Format How I use them in class: I often reach for these sheets when I want to give a task a more finished or thoughtful appearance. Students use them for solving equations, drawing coordinate grids, or organizing data. They also work well for math journaling or scaffolded tasks, where a clear layout makes thinking visible. The design encourages careful work without being overwhelming – especially useful for students who struggle with messy layouts or find blank pages intimidating. Because the visuals are gentle and age-neutral, they’re suitable from upper elementary through secondary levels. They can also serve as project covers, learning logs, or a base for differentiated tasks. Sometimes, it’s these small details – like using a well-designed worksheet – that make students take their work a little more seriously. Best, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? Also, practical skills such as practice with addressing envelopes. Mailing out a card to a loved one is not as common as it used to be and will most likely pleasantly surprise the recipient plus the student will feel good about themselves for completing such a thoughtful project. SOCIAL STUDIES You could also use this project for social skills centers and as a basis for teaching about the changes in the world historically in regard to how people communicate much less commonly through "snail mail." MATH ACTIVITY IDEAS Also, you can integrate math activities. For example, the cost of a postage stamp and how much it would cost to send out 10 cards to friends/families (how many stamps you need to purchase multiplied by the number of stamps you need to buy). Another idea for a math activity would be to estimate how much time you need when you mail a card out to a friend or relative through the post office and how it would vary depending on how far away the recipient is. pdf downloadable file

Blank Writing & Activity Sheets – Spring Theme Flexible, decorative pages for writing, drawing, music, or custom classroom materials 🌸✏️ PNG + PDF These printable pages are designed to bring a little seasonal color and calm into your classroom. With soft spring-themed decorations and no pre-set lines, you can use them in almost any subject or context. Whether your students are writing stories, solving math problems, or composing short pieces of music, these sheets give them a gentle, creative frame to work within. What I appreciate about using open-format pages like these is the flexibility. Sometimes, we just need something that’s visually appealing but still leaves space for our own content – and that’s exactly what this resource offers. What’s included: A selection of blank decorative worksheets in a spring design No lines, so you can add your own structure (or none at all) Soft seasonal visuals – not too distracting, but motivating PDF format – for printing or digital notebooks (GoodNotes, Notability, etc.) PNG Format Ideas for classroom use: I’ve used these sheets in many ways over the years – as writing paper for creative assignments, as a quiet-time drawing prompt, or even for student-made math problems. Some students enjoy using them for reflection journals or personal check-in pages. They're also great for differentiated use: students can write a paragraph, draw a process, list keywords, or create a mind map – all on the same page layout. If you’re working in a digital environment, the files can easily be inserted into apps like GoodNotes and filled in with a stylus. Sometimes it’s the small details – like giving students a beautiful sheet of paper – that makes an activity feel more special and worth their time. Best, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? Watercolor Backgrounds – 10 Designs for Teaching Materials and Crafts
Common Core, Creative Arts, Holiday & Seasonal, Seasons, Fall, Spring, Summer, Winter, Resources for Teachers, Montessori, Homeschool Templates, Homeschool Curriculum, Activities, Classroom Decor, Bulletin Boards, Posters, Teacher Tools, Word Walls, Banners, Door Decor, Presentations, Crafts
Watercolor Backgrounds – 10 Designs for Teaching Materials and Creative Projects (A4 Format) PNG + PDF Over the years, I’ve realized how much a soft and thoughtfully chosen background can influence the overall tone of a worksheet, project, or presentation. Especially when working with younger learners—or just trying to break away from the usual black-and-white documents—a watercolor-style background can make materials feel calmer, more inviting, and a little more special. This set includes 10 hand-designed watercolor backgrounds , all created by me in Procreate. They’re simple, versatile, and gentle in color, making them easy to combine with your own content—whether you're designing a worksheet, setting up a presentation, or putting together printable materials like task cards or signs. Each background comes in two formats : – PNG (with transparent or clean edges – ideal for digital work) – PDF (quick and ready to print) What you can use them for: – Designing worksheets or templates for student work – Presentation slides (PowerPoint, Keynote, Canva...) – Game cards or instruction sets – Greeting cards or classroom posters – Backdrops for reflection or writing pages – And much more I’ve personally used them for everything from laminated instructions at learning centers to cover pages for student portfolios. The soft watercolor look adds warmth without being distracting—and pairs well with both playful and more serious content. Usage notes: These backgrounds are available for private and classroom use , and you may also use them commercially within the educational field (e.g. in your own teaching materials), as long as your own content is clearly visible and credit is given (by naming me as the creator or linking to my store). Please don’t resell or distribute the files as standalone images. Have fun using these designs to give your materials a personal and creative touch. – Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? Soccer World Cup 2026 Pennant Banner – Canada Classroom Decoration
Holiday & Seasonal, Physical Education, P.E. & Health, Sports, Classroom Management, Resources for Teachers, Community Building, Social Studies, Summer, Seasons, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, Activities, Worksheets & Printables, Projects, Classroom Decor, Door Decor, Posters, Bulletin Boards, Banners, Word Walls, Drawing Templates & Outlines
World Cup 2026 Canada Pennant Banner This Canada pennant banner was createdƒ for the World Cup period. Students often notice international events, so adding a small decoration felt like a simple way to reflect that. The banner can be printed in color, but I sometimes use the black-and-white pages first so my students can color a few pennants before assembling them. After cutting, the pieces can be connected with string or ribbon. I hung the finished banner along a shelf, although it also works above the board or on a classroom door. The layout is straightforward and doesn’t feel too busy, which helps when it stays up for several days. Depending on time, the activity can be skipped and the colored version used directly. Both options are easy to prepare. The file is provided as a printable PDF. Laminating is optional if you plan to reuse the banner later. I’ve found this type of decoration useful during tournament weeks, especially when you want something visible without changing the regular lesson flow. 📍 Best wishes, Heike from @Lernfitness

Glitter Backgrounds – 12 Sparkling Designs for Worksheets, Slides, and Classroom Projects to Brighten Your Classroom Materials ✨ PNG + PDF + TIFF Over the years, I’ve found that even small visual changes can make a big difference when it comes to engaging students—especially with worksheets, bulletin boards, or presentations. That’s exactly why I created these glitter backgrounds. They add a little sparkle and visual interest without being too overwhelming or distracting. Sometimes it’s the background that helps set the mood for a lesson. In this set, you’ll find 12 glitter-style backgrounds, each in A4 format. I designed them using Procreate, and they’re available in three file types: PNG, PDF, and TIFF. That way, you can choose what works best for you—whether you're creating something for print or a digital format like Canva, PowerPoint, or Google Slides. What’s included: – 12 different glitter backgrounds (A4 size) – File formats: PNG (with transparency), PDF (ready to print), TIFF (high resolution) I’ve used these backgrounds in lots of different ways: as worksheet templates, as digital covers in GoodNotes, and even as backing pages for student booklets. Around the holidays, students love anything that sparkles—so I’ve used them for reflection prompts in December, festive games, or classroom posters. They’re also a nice way to elevate things like certificates, behavior charts, or project templates. The designs are colorful and textured, but still neutral enough to use across different subjects and age groups. A note on usage: You're welcome to use these backgrounds in your own classroom or in materials you create for your students. You can also use them in educational resources you plan to share or sell—just make sure your own content is clearly visible and that you credit my store or website when doing so. Wishing you lots of creative ideas and sparkly results! – Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? Soccer World Cup 2026 Pennant Banner – UK Classroom Decoration
Holiday & Seasonal, Physical Education, P.E. & Health, Sports, Classroom Management, Resources for Teachers, Community Building, Social Studies, Summer, Seasons, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, Activities, Worksheets & Printables, Projects, Classroom Decor, Door Decor, Posters, Bulletin Boards, Banners, Word Walls, Drawing Templates & Outlines
World Cup 2026 USA Pennant Banner I printed these pennants when my class started mentioning the World Cup. I wasn’t planning a full activity, but I wanted something small to reflect what was already on their minds. Some students colored the black-and-white version, others just helped cut and assemble. It worked well without taking much time. After that, I hung the banner across the board. It stayed up for a while and didn’t interfere with regular lessons. The design is simple, which I prefer for seasonal decorations. It’s visible, but not distracting. This is a printable PDF. You can print the colored version or let students personalize the pages. Then connect the pennants with string or ribbon. I usually don’t laminate unless I want to reuse it the following year. I’ve used similar decorations in upper elementary grades, though it would also work with older students during tournament weeks. 📍 Best wishes, Heike from @Lernfitness
