Printable Chemistry Pennants – Christmas Classroom Decor I made this banner because I wanted something simple to hang in my classroom during the weeks before the holidays — something that looked nice but still connected to chemistry. These are small triangle flags, each showing one element from the main group, with symbol, name, and atomic number. The design has a bit of a holiday touch but it’s not loud or silly, so it works even if you don’t go all-in on Christmas decorations. What I like about it is that I can just print it, cut it out, and hang it up, and it brings colour to the room without much effort. The students walk past it every day, and after a while they start to recognise elements just from seeing them over and over again. It’s not a big thing, but I’ve noticed that small exposures like that can really help, especially for the students who don’t memorize things easily. I printed mine on heavier paper and used some string and tape to hang it across the whiteboard. One year I laminated them so I could use them again the next time, and they held up really well. You can hang them in a line, in clusters, or just tape them to cabinets or doors — whatever fits your classroom. Sometimes I also use them as a starting point. I might ask a student to pick one element from the banner and tell me something about it, or we do a quick warm-up based on the symbols they see. But most of the time, it’s just there, and that’s enough. It makes the space feel less grey in December, and still keeps the focus on science. It’s nothing complicated — just a printable you can use when you want something useful and a little seasonal. 📍 Happy teaching, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? Glitter Backgrounds – 12 Sparkling Designs for Worksheets, Slides, and Classroom Projects to Brighten Your Classroom Materials ✨ PNG + PDF + TIFF Over the years, I’ve found that even small visual changes can make a big difference when it comes to engaging students—especially with worksheets, bulletin boards, or presentations. That’s exactly why I created these glitter backgrounds. They add a little sparkle and visual interest without being too overwhelming or distracting. Sometimes it’s the background that helps set the mood for a lesson. In this set, you’ll find 12 glitter-style backgrounds, each in A4 format. I designed them using Procreate, and they’re available in three file types: PNG, PDF, and TIFF. That way, you can choose what works best for you—whether you're creating something for print or a digital format like Canva, PowerPoint, or Google Slides. What’s included: – 12 different glitter backgrounds (A4 size) – File formats: PNG (with transparency), PDF (ready to print), TIFF (high resolution) I’ve used these backgrounds in lots of different ways: as worksheet templates, as digital covers in GoodNotes, and even as backing pages for student booklets. Around the holidays, students love anything that sparkles—so I’ve used them for reflection prompts in December, festive games, or classroom posters. They’re also a nice way to elevate things like certificates, behavior charts, or project templates. The designs are colorful and textured, but still neutral enough to use across different subjects and age groups. A note on usage: You're welcome to use these backgrounds in your own classroom or in materials you create for your students. You can also use them in educational resources you plan to share or sell—just make sure your own content is clearly visible and that you credit my store or website when doing so. Wishing you lots of creative ideas and sparkly results! – Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? All About Me Bio Poem Simile Writing Getting to Know You Activity
Writing, ELA, Creative Writing, Poetry, Literature, Vocabulary, Language Development, April, Months, Holiday & Seasonal, Homeschool Templates, Grade 3, 4, 5, 6, Centers, Activities, Bulletin Boards, Classroom Decor, Door Decor, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets
Looking for an “All About Me” bio poem activity that actually gets your students writing (and sharing a bit about themselves)? At the start of the year, I always find that some students are excited to talk… and others just don’t know what to say or write. That’s where this has worked really well in my classroom. This bio poem activity gives students a simple structure to follow, so they’re not stuck staring at a blank page. The templates guide them step by step, and the simile prompts help them add a bit more detail and personality to their writing without overthinking it. I usually start by showing them an example (there’s one included), and we talk through it together. After that, they brainstorm their own ideas and use the notebook-style templates to draft their poem. It’s very manageable, even for students who aren’t confident writers yet. Once they’ve written their poem, they can create a neat final version using the publishing page. These look great displayed in the classroom, and students genuinely enjoy reading about each other. Everything is included to make it easy to run as a full lesson—there’s a simple lesson plan to follow, plus a rubric if you want to assess the writing without spending ages on marking. I’ve found this works especially well as a getting-to-know-you activity, but it also fits nicely into poetry or writing lessons any time of the year. Items Included Bio poem interactive notebook templates to scaffold student writing Simile writing prompts to help with descriptions Clear, student-friendly example (color and blackline posters) Step-by-step lesson plan for easy teaching Publishing sheet for a final copy Assessment rubric for quick marking How to Use in Your Classroom You might start by modelling a bio poem about yourself or a familiar person using the included examples. This helps students see exactly what’s expected. From there, students can brainstorm ideas and use the interactive notebook templates to plan and draft their poems. The simile prompts support them in adding richer, more descriptive language. Once complete, students can create a polished final copy using the publishing pages—perfect for a classroom display! The included rubric makes assessment simple and clear. Skills Covered Poetry writing Simile and figurative language Descriptive writing Self-expression and identity Writing organisation and structure Editing and revising These make a beautiful back-to-school bulletin board display —and students love reading about each other once they’re finished!

Valentine's Day Templates - Printable Greeting Cards & Coloring Sheet
Creative Arts, Valentine's Day, Holidays, Holiday & Seasonal, Community Building, Resources for Teachers, Special Resources, Life Skills, Social Skills, Speech Therapy, Homeschool Templates, Crafts, Activities, Centers, Projects, Bulletin Boards, Classroom Decor, Door Decor, Templates, Teacher Tools
I love to make printable greeting cards and bookmarks. Not only are they fun for kids to do but can be used to practice and build useful and important skills. For example, these cute Valentines Day cards with matching envelope template (5 x 7 finished size): Require students to cut out the cards and envelope template in order to create a finished card with a matching envelope. Cutting with scissors builds fine motor skills. When students fold the cards correctly as well as paste the envelope template correctly, they are developing (especially with the envelope template) problem solving skills in addition to the fine motor skills practice. Deciding who to give the card, writing out a greeting to the chosen person, and addressing the envelope will not only build social skills, but life skills that will always be needed throughout adulthood. Properly addressing the card and outside envelope will require proper capitalization and grammar and will develop handwriting skills as well. Students can work on their cards as a group. Teachers can create a special center for this project. Cards are blank on the inside so that students can decide what they want to say. They can also draw pictures if they are not reading or writing letters yet. The cards are not age specific. They can be created with pre-readers all the way up to adulthood. There are six (6) different foldable, 5 x 7-inch cards with the following sayings: All you need is Jesus Jesus loves you Be my valentine I love you Two of the cards contain a picture without a saying. One envelope template is included, which can be used with any 5 x 7 card besides the cards in the Valentines Day card pack. pdf downloadable file, each card is on a separate sheet of paper. Also included is a coloring sheet with a colored sheet students can use to match the colors or color their own way using their own chosen color scheme.

Whether your students are writing stories, solving math problems, or composing short pieces of music, these sheets give them a gentle, creative frame to work within. SOCIAL SKILLS CENTERS AND LIFE SKILLS CENTERS Greeting cards are perfect for fun activities for holidays and everyday use and are great for teaching social skills. Also, practical skills such as practice with addressing envelopes. Mailing out a card to a loved one is not as common as it used to be and will most likely pleasantly surprise the recipient plus the student will feel good about themselves for completing such a thoughtful project. SOCIAL STUDIES You could also use this project for social skills centers and as a basis for teaching about the changes in the world historically in regard to how people communicate much less commonly through "snail mail." MATH ACTIVITY IDEAS Also, you can integrate math activities. For example, the cost of a postage stamp and how much it would cost to send out 10 cards to friends/families (how many stamps you need to purchase multiplied by the number of stamps you need to buy). Another idea for a math activity would be to estimate how much time you need when you mail a card out to a friend or relative through the post office and how it would vary depending on how far away the recipient is. pdf downloadable file

You can make your classroom a better place to learn and make your daily routine easier with these Outer Space Theme Visual Schedule Cards. They have colorful pictures of things like planets, rocket ships and galaxies. This is a tool to help you manage your classroom and organize your school day. What you get in this set: 1. Thirteen cards that you can print out away: these cards cover everything you need to do every day like Attendance, Writing, Reading, Math, Recess, Science, Music, PE, Library, Art, Circle Meeting, Snack and Assembly. 2. Two kinds of fonts to choose from: you can pick a font that looks nice or a simple font that is easy to read which is great for kids who are just starting to learn. 3. Two kinds of borders that're colorful: you can mix and match yellow and blue borders that go well with any space or galaxy theme in your classroom. 4. Cards that you can write on: these cards are blank so you can fill them in with markers and make them fit your classroom needs. These cards are great for teachers because they are easy to get ready and help students be more independent. Outer Space Theme Visual Schedule Cards give students an idea of what they have to do every day, which helps them feel less anxious. I think it is an idea to cut out these cards and cover them with plastic so they last a long time. They are the size to fit in the pockets on your classroom wall, which makes them perfect, for showing your daily schedule. You can also put magnets on the back. Hang them on your board or put them in a big folder to label your teacher stuff.
