World Cup 2026 Canada Pennant Banner This Canada pennant banner was createdƒ for the World Cup period. Students often notice international events, so adding a small decoration felt like a simple way to reflect that. The banner can be printed in color, but I sometimes use the black-and-white pages first so my students can color a few pennants before assembling them. After cutting, the pieces can be connected with string or ribbon. I hung the finished banner along a shelf, although it also works above the board or on a classroom door. The layout is straightforward and doesn’t feel too busy, which helps when it stays up for several days. Depending on time, the activity can be skipped and the colored version used directly. Both options are easy to prepare. The file is provided as a printable PDF. Laminating is optional if you plan to reuse the banner later. These adorable gingerbread characters are sure to inspire your kids and students this Valentines Day season. There are six different bookmarks, 2" x 6" size, each with a gingerbread person working on baking something yummy. In addition to the six (6) different bookmarks, this pack includes 4 different 5 x 7 cards, two with gingerbread characters, two with other designs. One card is white with just the words, "Love - Be My Valentine" in printed in cursive, red in color. The other card contains a pair of birds kissing inside of a red heart with a blue outline and a blue background. All cards say, "Be My Valentine." Also included is a 5 x 7 envelope template that your students can cut out and paste together to create an envelope that will fit perfectly with the 5 x 7 cards. This project can be used to encourage students to handwrite a message inside, address the envelopes. Also, simply the cutting, folding, and pasting the cards, bookmarks, and envelopes is a creative way for students to practice fine motor skills while enjoying the season as a class. Dog Cards to Colour – Easy Classroom Activity for the Week Before Break I made these dog cards last year for my class because that last week before the holidays is always kind of messy and loud, and I just needed something simple and quiet. The idea was to have something that felt a bit festive without needing a lot of prep, and also without turning the classroom into glitter chaos. The cards are just black and white drawings of different dogs wearing hats or scarves, nothing complicated, just cute. I printed them out on slightly thicker paper, gave the kids pencils and markers, and that was it. Some of the students took a lot of time choosing which dog they liked best. Others just grabbed one and started colouring right away. A few wanted to do more than one. I didn’t make any rules around it. Some kids added a message inside, others didn’t. A couple of students wrote little notes to the janitor or their families. One card even ended up on the classroom door with a note for our imaginary school dog (we don’t actually have one, but they like to pretend). It was sweet. We didn’t tie it to any lesson plan, I didn’t grade it, and I didn’t ask for a final product. It was just something they could do to wind down. We listened to quiet music, and honestly, it was one of the calmest hours of the whole month. They were focused, but relaxed. And because it was dogs, even students who usually don’t enjoy drawing stayed with it. If I had to describe it, I’d say it’s a quiet little task that gives students something to do with their hands and minds when they don’t have a lot of focus left. Soccer World Cup 2026 Pennant Banner – UK Classroom Decoration

World Cup 2026 USA Pennant Banner I printed these pennants when my class started mentioning the World Cup. I wasn’t planning a full activity, but I wanted something small to reflect what was already on their minds. Some students colored the black-and-white version, others just helped cut and assemble. It worked well without taking much time. After that, I hung the banner across the board. It stayed up for a while and didn’t interfere with regular lessons. The design is simple, which I prefer for seasonal decorations. It’s visible, but not distracting. This is a printable PDF. You can print the colored version or let students personalize the pages. Then connect the pennants with string or ribbon. I usually don’t laminate unless I want to reuse it the following year. I’ve used similar decorations in upper elementary grades, though it would also work with older students during tournament weeks. 📍 Best wishes, Heike from @Lernfitness
