Chemical elements Christmas Ornaments – Printable Templates for December Science Lessons This printable resource includes black-and-white templates for all 118 elements of the periodic table. Each template shows the element’s name and symbol and can be printed for students to personalize. The activity is intended for the winter season, especially around December, when students are often busy but still benefit from focused, creative work. Students can decorate the element templates with color or drawings and, depending on the level, add simple facts or uses of the element. Some teachers use the finished pieces for a classroom display—on walls, windows, or doors. Others fold them into 3D shapes and hang them from the ceiling or around a subject-themed tree. Instructions for both 2D and foldable 3D formats are included, though the actual designs stay simple so that students can focus on content. No special materials are required beyond paper, scissors, and some colors. The templates work well with different age groups, from basic recognition in younger grades to research tasks for older students. Many classes use the templates as a seasonal wrap-up to a unit on atomic structure or chemical elements. It helps students to slow down while still staying connected to subject material. The repetitive visual exposure to symbols and element names supports retention, especially when students walk past the display each day. This activity is flexible enough to be used as a quiet individual task, a group effort, or part of a themed science week. Teachers can adapt the number of elements, the complexity of the task, and the way the results are shared. Included are 118 element cards, printing instructions, and some simple ideas for using the resource in class. It can be a nice way to connect content with classroom atmosphere during the last weeks of term. Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? Sunflowers – Coloring Sheet | Helianthus annuus A simple activity to accompany science or seasonal lessons 🌻🖍️ This printable coloring sheet focuses on the sunflower ( Helianthus annuus ) and can be used to support lessons on plants, summer flowers, or as a quiet creative task in between more content-heavy subjects. It’s easy to integrate into primary classroom routines and works well as a one-lesson activity – no prep needed. The download includes two versions: one with a cheerful color frame and one in classic black and white, perfect for photocopying. Students can color the sunflower while reviewing what they’ve learned or as part of an introduction to summer plants and flower species. What’s included: One sunflower coloring page with decorative frame (PDF) Color version for digital or presentation use Black and white version for classroom copying I’ve used this sheet alongside our lesson on plant parts or after reading a short informational text about sunflowers. Some students like to label the parts of the flower directly on the page or write a short description on the back. It also works well in stations, during free work time, or in a substitute lesson when you need something calm and creative. If you’re working on a seasonal theme, this sheet pairs nicely with other sunflower materials – like nonfiction texts, vocabulary work, or mini research tasks. It helps younger students connect scientific observation with creativity and gives them a chance to slow down and focus. This resource is ready to print and use in class or at home. 📍 Best wishes, Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? Learning Numbers with Vikings – Creative Pennant Banner - Bunting

Learning Numbers with Vikings – Creative Pennant Banner - Bunting

Learning Numbers with Vikings – Creative Pennant Chain Creative Pennant Banner - Bunting A playful number line for early math skills with a Viking theme ⚔️🔢 This printable number pennant chain helps students in early grades (K–2 or 1–3) practice counting from 0 to 20 – all within a fun and imaginative Viking setting. Each pennant features a number, a matching number of Viking-themed illustrations, and a rustic wood-frame design that gives the entire chain a cohesive and storybook-like look. What makes this material stand out is the thoughtful visual support: for every number, students see a set of hand-drawn Viking clipart items (e.g., shields, helmets, swords), clearly corresponding to the number shown. This helps learners make the connection between numerals and quantity – an essential early math skill. What’s included: Numbers 0–20 as printable pennants (PDF) Each number illustrated with a matching number of Viking-themed images Two versions: full-color and black-and-white for coloring activities Wooden-look frames and connectors to complete the Viking design Tips for classroom use included Ideas for classroom use: You can hang the pennant chain across the classroom as a number line or let students help assemble it during a math lesson. The black-and-white version works well for individual coloring tasks, giving students ownership over their learning space. Some teachers use it in math centers, others during Viking-themed project weeks. The visual repetition supports number sense and makes abstract numbers feel more concrete. I’ve found that students who usually struggle with counting feel more confident when they can match numbers to something they can see and count. The resource is easy to print and use, and no extra materials are needed beyond scissors and string. Laminating the pennants will help them last across multiple school years. This is more than just a decoration – it’s a tool for early math learning wrapped in a bit of adventure. 📍 Best wishes, Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? Music Writing Sheets with Decorative Layout Create space for creativity in music class – with printable sheets for composing, notating, or practicing music theory 🎵✍️ PNG + PDF These music-themed worksheets offer a quiet and motivating way for students to engage with musical notation. Each sheet includes clearly spaced music lineatures (staff lines) and gentle decorative elements to make the learning experience both structured and enjoyable. The color tones of the staff lines are matched to the overall design, giving the pages a calm, coherent look – without overwhelming students who are still learning to read or write music. Whether you’re asking students to notate simple melodies, copy rhythms, or compose short pieces, these pages provide a flexible format that supports focus and neatness. They’re also great for music journals, theory exercises, or creative music tasks. What’s included: A selection of PDF music writing pages with pre-printed lineatures Decorative design elements in subtle tones Coordinated ruling colors for better visual harmony Format: Printable or usable in digital notebooks (e.g., GoodNotes, Notability) PNG Format Ideas for classroom use: In my own music classes, I use these sheets for short composition tasks or to write down musical ideas after listening to a piece. They also work well in project folders or as part of student portfolios. Some of my students like to use them during free work time – writing down simple melodies they've invented or even illustrating their musical ideas. For students who are easily overwhelmed by plain staff paper, the friendly design can reduce the fear of the blank page. The format works well in both primary and lower secondary settings – and it's a great way to combine structure with freedom in creative tasks. These pages don’t replace formal music workbooks – but they’re a welcome addition when you want students to engage with music more openly and personally. Best, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? I created this winter-themed hat crown craft for young students who enjoy coloring, cutting, and assembling simple seasonal projects. Each page features a clear winter illustration—such as mountains, cozy treats, snowflakes, or cute winter characters—that children can personalize with their own colors and designs. The outlines are bold and simple, making it easy for students to work independently and stay focused. This type of craft works especially well during the winter months when classes need an engaging, hands-on activity that also feels calm and relaxing. It can be used during morning work, as an art center, for fast finishers, or as a fun seasonal project to celebrate winter. I’ve used similar crown crafts before, and students always feel proud when they finish decorating and get to wear their creations around the classroom. World Cup 2026 USA Pennant Banner I used these pennants when my class started mentioning the World Cup. I wasn’t planning a full activity, but I wanted something small to reflect what was already on their minds. Some students colored the black-and-white version, others just helped cut and assemble. It worked well without taking much time. After that, I placed the banner across the board. It stayed up for a while and didn’t interfere with regular lessons. The design is simple, which I prefer for seasonal decorations. It’s visible, but not distracting. This is a printable PDF. You can print the colored version or let students personalize the pages. Then connect the pennants with string or ribbon. I usually don’t laminate unless I want to reuse it the following year. I’ve used similar decorations in upper elementary grades, though it would also work with older students during tournament weeks. 📍 Best wishes, Heike from @Lernfitness

Decorative Writing Sheets for Primary Students Printable ruled pages with child-friendly designs – for writing, practicing, and learning across subjects ✏️🌈 PNG + PDF These decorative worksheets were created especially for use in primary classrooms. Each sheet includes child-friendly rulings that support early writing skills and help students structure their ideas more clearly. What makes these pages extra special is their soft, coordinated design: the line colors match the surrounding illustrations, creating a calm and motivating look that many children really enjoy. Whether you're working on writing short stories, practicing letters, solving simple math problems, or even introducing music notation – these pages give students a visually appealing and structured space to work in. What’s included: A variety of printable worksheets with age-appropriate writing lines Gentle, decorative themes suited for younger learners Coordinated line colors for a neat and balanced appearance PDF format – ideal for printouts or digital notebooks (GoodNotes, Notability) PNG Format Classroom ideas: I’ve used these pages for journal entries, creative writing, dictations, and short-answer tasks. They’re also great as a “special” writing page for final versions of a story or when students present their work to the class. Many of my students take more care with their handwriting when they’re given a well-designed page to work on – a little aesthetic motivation goes a long way. Because the designs are subtle and not theme-locked, you can use them all year long. Some children even enjoy choosing their favorite version before starting a task – which can be a nice moment of autonomy in a structured lesson. These sheets are simple, flexible, and designed with classroom reality in mind – especially for younger learners who benefit from clear structure and a bit of visual encouragement. Hi! I’m Debbie from Homeschooling Dietitian Mom—a homeschooling mom for 10+ years, a Registered Dietitian, and most importantly, a lover of Jesus. I'm hoping that these adorable images, cards, coloring pages, and stickers will help you celebrate the Easter season with your students, whether homeschooled or in a classroom setting. Inside you’ll find adorable Easter & spring sticker sheets (perfect for planners, notebooks, reward charts, or craft time) plus faith-filled coloring pages featuring Bible verses to help kids reflect on the real meaning of Easter. I chose the items in this set to create a mix of “Happy Easter” and spring-themed stickers (like carrots and a caterpillar/butterfly) along with Christian Easter stickers and phrases such as He Is Risen , Hosanna , and more. I've also included coloring pages with crosses, flowers, and Bible verses: John 3:16 and 1 Peter 1:3. These activities will be perfect for quiet time, morning baskets, Sunday school, or family devotion activities. Quick peek at what’s inside: Sticker sheets (pages 2–4): “Happy Easter” carrots, a caterpillar & butterfly, and several cross/faith-themed stickers (e.g., “Hosanna in the Highest,” “He is Risen,” "tetelestai/it is finished,” “the tomb was empty,” “hallelujah what a savior,” “Jesus lives,” etc.). Coloring-style cross pages with verses (pages 5–6): John 3:16 and 1 Peter 1:3. Large single stickers (pages 7–8): “hosanna in the highest” and “hallelujah what a savior.” See example images of what's inside. pdf downloadable file, 8 pages including cover page. Can be printed on regular paper, cardstock, or sticker paper. Patchwork Hearts – Clipart Set for Creative Teaching Materials & Crafts 10 hand-drawn heart cliparts in color and black & white – for worksheets, posters, crafts & more ❤️🧵 PNG These heart cliparts are a little personal favorite of mine – I love combining patchwork textures with simple shapes, and this set is the result of that mix. Whether you’re preparing materials for Valentine’s Day, a Mother’s Day project, or just want to add a little warmth and color to your worksheets, these hearts are a lovely and flexible addition to your teaching toolbox. What’s included: 10 cliparts in PNG format (transparent background) – 5 colorful patchwork-style hearts – 5 black & white / outline versions for coloring or copying Hand-drawn in Procreate High-resolution files, ready to use in print or digital formats How I use them in the classroom: These cliparts are perfect for worksheets , reward charts , bulletin boards , or craft templates . I often print out the black-and-white versions so students can color them in as part of an art activity. They also work well in writing prompts – for example: “Who do you want to give this heart to?” or “Write a message for someone important to you.” The outline versions are easy to cut out and can be used for window decorations, garlands, or even small keepsakes students take home. The colorful versions are great when I need to quickly add something cheerful to a PowerPoint, digital notebook, or classroom display. And because the style is decorative but not too theme-specific, they’re not just for holidays – I also use them in my social-emotional learning corner or on kindness-themed posters. Usage rights: ✔ For personal and classroom use ✔ Commercial use allowed in educational resources (as long as your own content is clearly the focus) ✘ Please don’t resell or share the individual files as standalone cliparts These hearts are versatile, easy to use, and bring a handmade look to your materials – whether printed or digital. Dog Cards to Colour – Easy Classroom Activity for the Week Before Break I made these dog cards last year for my class because that last week before the holidays is always kind of messy and loud, and I just needed something simple and quiet. The idea was to have something that felt a bit festive without needing a lot of prep, and also without turning the classroom into glitter chaos. The cards are just black and white drawings of different dogs wearing hats or scarves, nothing complicated, just cute. I printed them out on slightly thicker paper, gave the kids pencils and markers, and that was it. Some of the students took a lot of time choosing which dog they liked best. Others just grabbed one and started colouring right away. A few wanted to do more than one. I didn’t make any rules around it. Some kids added a message inside, others didn’t. A couple of students wrote little notes to the janitor or their families. One card even ended up on the classroom door with a note for our imaginary school dog (we don’t actually have one, but they like to pretend). It was sweet. We didn’t tie it to any lesson plan, I didn’t grade it, and I didn’t ask for a final product. It was just something they could do to wind down. We listened to quiet music, and honestly, it was one of the calmest hours of the whole month. They were focused, but relaxed. And because it was dogs, even students who usually don’t enjoy drawing stayed with it. If I had to describe it, I’d say it’s a quiet little task that gives students something to do with their hands and minds when they don’t have a lot of focus left. Just print, hand out, and let them take it from there. No rules, no stress. 📍 Happy teaching, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know? Math Writing Sheets with Decorative Grid Boxes Printable graph paper with a subtle design twist – for math tasks, creative problem solving, or structured writing 📐✏️ PNG + PDF These decorative math sheets combine practical structure with visual appeal. Designed especially for math lessons, they feature a box-style ruling (also known as graph or squared paper) and gentle decorative elements that frame the workspace without distracting from the task. The colors of the rulings match the surrounding design, giving each page a calm and balanced look. Whether you’re preparing math exercises, practicing place value, or creating space for geometry sketches – these sheets provide a flexible foundation. The structured grid supports clear number alignment and helps students organize their work, especially those who benefit from visual guidance. What’s included: A variety of printable decorative worksheets with math box rulings Rulings in colors matched to the design Subtle seasonal or subject-neutral decorations PDF format – for printing or use in digital notebooks (e.g. GoodNotes, Notability) PNG Format How I use them in class: I often reach for these sheets when I want to give a task a more finished or thoughtful appearance. Students use them for solving equations, drawing coordinate grids, or organizing data. They also work well for math journaling or scaffolded tasks, where a clear layout makes thinking visible. The design encourages careful work without being overwhelming – especially useful for students who struggle with messy layouts or find blank pages intimidating. Because the visuals are gentle and age-neutral, they’re suitable from upper elementary through secondary levels. They can also serve as project covers, learning logs, or a base for differentiated tasks. Sometimes, it’s these small details – like using a well-designed worksheet – that make students take their work a little more seriously. Best, Heike from Lernfitness Did You Know?
