Collaborative Poster SEL Community Building

In this collaborative poster, the class will come together to create a poster that stands for what each student believes in. The poster has a rainbow with balloons and stars and the quote that is spelled out is "In our class, we are kind and respectful." Each student will get to color a piece of this puzzle. There are 30 pieces. The poster will measure 23 inches height by 35 inches wide. This will be a fun activity for each student to contribute into one large poster. This poster can be posted in the classroom, on the bulletin board on on the door. This poster is great for first, second, third, fourth, and fifth grades. In this file, you will receive 30 student pages with directions on each page, a full color picture of the outcome, a picture of the black and white version as well as the black and white version that is divided into 30 pieces. In the beginning of the school year, it is important to do activities that build community and shared values. When doing this poster, students can also talk about what else they believe to be important in the classroom as a community. I work as a school counselor for K-8th grade. I've included both the colored as well the grayscale version. The animal facts anchor charts are also included in this resource. Students can use the QR code to access information cards and answer four questions per card, totaling 48 questions. Alternatively, if you prefer to avoid QR codes, you can print out the 12 poetry elements information cards from the PDF file for students to use as they work through the questions. The beautifully designed posters not only enhance learning but also create an eye-catching display on your bulletin board . Included files (available in both US and British English): ITEMS INCLUDED Landscape-sized posters/information cards on 12 poetic elements (available via Google Drive and PDF), each featuring a clear definition and an example poem. 12 task cards, each with a QR code and four questions related to a poetic element.
