Sight Word Foldable Book: come

With these sight word foldable book, students will practice sight word recognition. Students will use these books to find, write, and read the target sight word! This resource contains foldable books for the sight word: come The pages included in this product are: There are 2 sight word activity foldable books. Both books have a cover page to color, a seek and find activity where students color or dab the sight word, and an area where students will trace the sight word. One book has a page where students will simply read sentences containing the sight word, while the other contains sentences for students to first write the sight word, then read the sentences. There are 2 sight word emergent readers. One reader has students simply color an image and read the sentence containing the target sight word. The second reader contains the same sentences with the sight word missing. Students will write the sight word, then read the sentences on these books. How to Make: Students can either fold the books first or complete the activities before folding the book. The order is not important. To create the books, students will first fold the book along the horizontal line, then they will fold along the vertical line. When to Use: Literacy Center - These foldable books can be used in literacy center for students to practice these sight words. Homework - These foldable books can be sent home from homework so parents can assist students in learning their sight words. Independent Practice - These foldable books make great independent practice for students learning sight words. Sub Plans - Since these foldable books have easy to follow directions, they make great activities to leave with substitutes. These foldable books are a great no-prep activity for teachers to give to students to complete. They pages just need to be printed and given to students. No cutting is necessary to create the books!

These are words that don't use the phonics rules that one might expect when reading and trying to pronounce the word. But this is not all. Also blends, digraphs, trigraphs, double consonants and many more phonetic elements are separately highlighted in each component of this resource. There are several parts to this resource. Please check out the screenshots on this page to get a better idea of the aesthetics of this resource. The included components are: 1. Digital Flash Cards (Digital PDF) This activity is offered in a PDf-Format. Simply use the arrow keys to navigate through the slides. 2. Build Your Own Set (PowerPoint) This activity comes in a PowerPoint format. This allows you to pick and choose the cards that you like to create your very own set. Just copy and paste the slides in whichever order you prefer. 3. Printable Flash Cards (Printable PDF) The same card that are featured in the previous activity also come in a printable format. Again, this is a PDF-File. Just print, laminate, and cut the cards, and you'll be ready to go! 4. Vocabulary List 1 (Printable PDF) This list shows all of Fry's Ninth 100 Sight Words in alphabetical order. The words are color coded so you can see from which set it originates. 5. Learn Initial Sounds E: Lesson 5 teaches the letter Ee and its related phonic sound through a 25-slide PowerPoint lesson and 6 follow-up activity worksheets. All you need to teach the phonic letter E! Whether in school or at home, this series of phonic presentations can help you teach initial/beginning sounds effectively to all pupils, including those with special needs/dyslexia. This lesson is part of a synthetic, systematic phonics programme for all abilities including those suspected of being dyslexic. This lesson is in the first stage of the Reading Made Simple programme where we teach the initial, or beginning, sounds. The ability to hear the initial/beginning sound is stressed throughout, while we learn to associate each letter with its sound. Each lesson can stand alone but the activities will presume knowledge of the previous letters in the alphabet as Reading Made Simple teaches the initial sounds in alphabetical order. Special features of the Learn Initial Sounds E: Lesson 5 The PowerPoint is silent so that you can interact with your child in the best way for them: full instructions are provided at the bottom of each slide - be sure to show 'Notes'. Science of Reading Aligned Truly phonetic; no 'i' for 'ice-cream'. We focus heavily on phonemic awareness which is so necessary for a head start in phonics The child is given plenty of opportunities to learn the necessary skills - perfection is not expected in lesson 1 but the teacher will be looking for the development of the necessary skills as the child works through the alphabet. What is included in the Learn Initial Sounds E: Lesson 5? A 26-slide PowerPoint which teaches phonemic awareness, letter/sound correspondence and letter formation along with practice games 5 follow-up worksheets How can the Learn Initial Sounds E: Lesson 5 be used? It can be used in multiple ways: As the child learns each sound, you can use the PowerPoint lesson to reinforce your own lesson It can be sent home for a child to watch with his/her parents after being taught the letter Ee in class - this will then act as revision as well as training the parent as to what is necessary to help the child. Use in class Use at home by parents or for home education Suggested Method: Introduce each letter in turn to your pupil. Have a flashcard of the letter ready. Say the sound each letter represents to the child and ask him/her to repeat it three times. Explain that some words begin with this sound. Give an example. Either use the lesson as teacher training for yourself to see how to teach your child, or use it with the child. Choose suitable activities (matching the ability of your child) from the pak of worksheets. Notes are suggestions only - use language appropriate to your pupil and be sure to interact naturally. However, do make sure that you focus on the hearing of the sounds at the beginning of words as this is much overlooked in the quest to help children learn the initial sounds as quickly as possible. Technical help: Use the PowerPoint in normal mode so that you can see the notes and use the 'Draw' tool when prompted. Some slides are interactive.
