Communication Vocabulary Flashcards For Preschool, Montessori, and Kindergarten Bulletin Boards I created these communication vocabulary flashcards to help young children express their needs, feelings, and ideas in a simple and visual way. All the picture cards inside are easy to understand and designed for children who are still developing speech, have limited language, or need extra support communicating. I created this resource with very young children in my mind. What’s inside? This resource includes 40+ colorful picture cards with clear images and simple words. The vocabulary focuses on what young children need most during their day, including: Actions: bounce, walk, climb, crawl, spin, and more Emotions: happy, sad, mad, tired, thirsty etc. Questions: who, what, where and more Basic needs & words: yes, no, help, stop, more, finished etc. Objects: ball, toys, numbers, letters (vowels and consonants), toilet etc. People: mommy, daddy, sister, brother, teacher, friends etc. Food Habits: Vegan or Vegetarian Alphabet cards: consonants and vowels grouped separately for easy organization Each card includes a clear picture with one simple word to support understanding and communication. Resource features: Bright and child-friendly visuals that are easy for young learners to recognize Flexible use - these visuals are great for bulletin boards and communication boards. You can also use them as flashcards Easy to laminate for repeated classroom or home use These are perfectly sized so toddlers and young children can easily point to the cards Ways to use these flashcards: You can use these cards for/as: Classroom communication Place the cards on a bulletin board or wall at child height. Children can point to words like “thirsty,” “help,” or “play” when they need something. Flashcards Use the cards during small groups, matching games, or simple vocabulary practice. Speech & Language Support During circle time, ask questions like “How do you feel?” or “What do you want?” and let children respond by pointing to a card. A Portable Communication Tool Laminate the cards and place them in a small binder or ring to use during transitions, outdoor play, or on the go. Real-Life Learning Cards for colors, food, celebrations, and daily routines help children communicate both learning ideas and personal wants. This resource is helpful for: Teachers: As these visuals support early language development. They also reduce frustration and encourage inclusion in the classroom. Parents can help children communicate more confidently at home and build independence with the help of these pictures. Speech and early learning support: This resource works great for children who are nonverbal, have limited speech, or are still developing communication skills Teacher & Parent Tips Introduce the cards during circle time or morning meetings Encourage children to point to a card instead of guessing what they need Use the cards during pretend play, storytelling, or daily routines Highlight specific cards for individual children (such as “help” or “toilet”) Laminate cards to create durable, portable sets These communication vocabulary flashcards are a simple, practical tool for helping young children express themselves. Whether you use them in a classroom or at home. They support early language development, encourage independence, and help create a more inclusive learning environment for every child.

Alphabet Crafts - Dinosaur Activities - Bible Read Aloud

Alphabet Crafts - Dinosaur Activities - Bible Read Aloud
ELA, Language Development, Pre-Reading, Vocabulary, Spelling, Strategies, Reading, Kindergarten, Preschool, Worksheets & Printables, Coloring Pages, Worksheets, Drawing Templates & Outlines, Flashcards

I created this activities pack because so many kids like dinosaurs, and learning the alphabet is such a foundational skill, sometimes one that isn't learned easily by kids. Teach your pre=readers and reinforce struggling readers learning the alphabet with bright colors and fun dinosaur pictures. Each letter of the alphabet is on a separate page to color as shown in the preview. There are 26 different Bible verses that students can trace and learn and even memorize. And 26 different flashcards with each letter of the alphabet on a separate card, the alphabet in the flashcards is a dinosaur font and can be colored in. Most of the products I create are designed for multiple ages in mind. For example, this product contains simple super large letters of the alphabet that can be colored in even by a toddler who can hold a crayon. Also, this product also contains 16 different dinosaur outlines that can be traced and/or colored. Each is on a separate page and includes the name of the particular dinosaur. Dinosaurs have long names, so these pages can be used to familiarize children with different dinosaurs and even be used for a spelling test where your students have to be able to correctly spell the dinosaurs. Or they could be asked to alphabetize the dinosaur sheets in order. Also included in this awesome dinosaur and alphabet activity pack is 16 different dinosaur outlines to color (one on each page) with the name of the dinosaur spelled out in a font that can be colored in. Dinosaurs included: Acanthopholis Ankylosaurus Dilophosaurus Diplodocus Gallimimus Iguanodon Ouranosaurus Parasaurolophus Pteranodon Saurolophus Stegosaurus Styracosaurus Triceratops Tyrannosaurus Rex Valdosaurus Velociraptor As you can see, the dinosaur names are challenging even for the best spellers, including me! Even though there are no specific questions regarding these dinosaurs in this product, you could assign specific dinosaurs to your older students, to look up and research and write an essay.

Alphabet Flashcards Here is a colourful set of Alphabet Flashcards – sure to delight any child. As a bonus, as I know that some children are transport lovers, I have included two pictures for some letters to provide a form of transport to appeal to these children (i.e.: H for helicopter, R for rocket, L for lorry, F for fire and fire engine, A for ambulance). This set of alphabet flashcards is equally suited to a variety of needs: · The parent with a young child · The teacher in the classroom · The classroom assistant · The SEN teacher · The ESL/EFL teacher They can be used in all situations to help children learn those all-important alphabet/beginning/initial sounds and become familiar with both upper- and lower-case letter shapes. Suggested ways in which to use the Alphabet Flashcards: · Pin them on the wall in order as a display: ask the child to point to the letters either by name, by sound, or by picture (beginning sound). · Look around the house/classroom for things that begin with the same sound as the object on a given flashcard. · Choose several cards (suitable for the needs of the child you are playing with) and lay them out on the table face up: Play I spy: I spy with my little eye something beginning with ‘….’. · Bean bag toss: Lay a selection of flashcards on the floor and give the child a bean bag. Ask – can you toss the bean bag onto the picture that begins with..’..’. · Print duplicates and play snap! · Help the child to put the flashcards in alphabetical order! Format: Four flashcards print to an A4 page, formatted to fit the page on a cheap HP printer. It is advised that the flashcards be laminated to make them more durable. They will get hard wear! What is included? 1 PDF 11 pages 46 pictures (2 for some sounds as indicated above) For a comprehensive set of alphabet flashcards, with letters and 2 sets of picture cards, see here. When children are first starting to learn letter shapes and sounds, it is helpful to have a handy reference chart that they can use to aid recall of letter shapes and a picture cue to the sound each letter stands for.

Flash Cards exercise the mental processes of students’ brains. With repeated practice, students will learn to associate words with their spelling. About Fry Sight Words: In 1996, Dr. Edward B. Fry expanded on Dolch’s list of 220 Sight Words and 95 common nouns. This list included 1000 of the most common words used in the English language ranked by frequency. Labeled as “Instant Words”, Fry’s list came to be known as “Fry Words”. These words are typically broken down into groups of 100, and separated by grades kindergarten to first grade, second to third grade, and fourth to fifth grade. Learning all 1000 words in this modern list of Sight Words will allow students to be able to read about 90% of the words used in a typical book.
