ABC Game – Match the Letters with a Soccer Twist | Elementary & ESL
Montessori, Holiday & Seasonal, ESL, Language Development, ELA, Spelling, Pre-Reading, Special Resources, Special Education Needs (SEN), Speech Therapy, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, Activities, Games, Worksheets & Printables, Task Cards, Quizzes and Tests, Teacher Tools, Quizzes, Projects, Flashcards, Word Problems
ABC Game – Match the Letters with a Soccer Twist | Elementary & ESL Similar to Dobble / Spot it! A playful alphabet recognition game for preschool and early elementary (Pre-K to 3st grade) ⚽🔤 This classroom game helps children explore and recognize the letters of the alphabet through play. Based on the well-known “Find the Twin” format (similar to Dobble or Spot It!), this resource invites learners to engage visually and socially while building basic literacy skills. Each card shows six symbols or letters. The goal: find the matching symbol between two cards – as fast as you can! The game can be played in pairs or small groups and is great for active classroom moments, literacy stations, or early finisher time. What I’ve enjoyed about this kind of activity in my own teaching is that it doesn’t require much prep, but it sparks a lot of focus and excitement. It’s also easy to adapt – whether you want to emphasize letter names, sounds, or visual scanning. What’s included: 62 cards total – 2 versions with 31 cards each – Round cards – Cut-out-friendly square cards Each card includes 6 images Clear visuals and simple layout for young learners Instructions included Ideas for classroom use: You can print the cards on regular paper or cardstock. Laminate them for durability if you plan to use them often. I’ve used these games during phonics lessons, as part of morning rotations, or as a “quiet movement” activity when students needed a break from sitting. The structure helps students work on focus, comparison, and visual discrimination – all useful skills for early reading development. At the same time, they practice taking turns and cooperating, which supports classroom community. Simple, flexible, and always well received – this game adds a playful twist to everyday alphabet learning. A low-prep, high-impact way to make learning the alphabet more interactive – and fun. Warm regards, Lernfitness Did You Know? I teach with a certified therapy dog, and together we focus on creating a positive and inspiring learning environment.

ABC Game – Alphabet Match with a Soccer Twist | Elementary & ESL Similar to Dobble / Spot it! A playful matching game to support letter recognition in preschool and early elementary (Pre-K to Grade 3) ⚽🔤 This hands-on alphabet game is a great way to help young learners recognize and match letters while staying engaged and active. Inspired by the popular “Find the Twin” concept (also known as Spot It! or Dobble), this printable classroom activity turns letter learning into a fun group challenge. Each card features 6 colorful images – all created by hand and designed with younger students in mind. Every pair of cards has exactly one matching symbol, and the challenge is to find it as quickly as possible. The game helps children sharpen their visual scanning, focus, and of course, their knowledge of the alphabet. You’ll receive two complete versions of the game with 31 cards each – in both round and square formats. This gives you flexibility depending on how you want to prep and present the game. What’s included: 62 total cards (2x 31 cards) 2 formats: round and square (easy to cut) Each card with 6 hand-drawn ABC images Clear instructions for classroom use Designed for easy printing and laminating How it works in the classroom: I’ve used games like this during literacy centers, as warm-ups for phonics lessons, or simply to give students a fun break while still learning. The rules are easy to understand – even for non-readers – and the game naturally encourages turn-taking and positive interaction. Because it’s low-prep and flexible, it also works well for early finishers or small-group stations. You can even keep a laminated version in a quiet corner for students to play independently or with a buddy. Fun, focused, and full of learning – this alphabet game helps build confidence with letters in a way that feels like play. A low-prep, high-impact way to make learning the alphabet more interactive – and fun. Warm regards, Lernfitness Did You Know? Alphabet Crafts - Dinosaur Activities - Bible Read Aloud
ELA, Language Development, Pre-Reading, Vocabulary, Spelling, Strategies, Reading, Kindergarten, Preschool, Worksheets & Printables, Coloring Pages, Worksheets, Drawing Templates & Outlines, Flashcards
I created this activities pack because so many kids like dinosaurs, and learning the alphabet is such a foundational skill, sometimes one that isn't learned easily by kids. Teach your pre=readers and reinforce struggling readers learning the alphabet with bright colors and fun dinosaur pictures. Each letter of the alphabet is on a separate page to color as shown in the preview. There are 26 different Bible verses that students can trace and learn and even memorize. And 26 different flashcards with each letter of the alphabet on a separate card, the alphabet in the flashcards is a dinosaur font and can be colored in. Most of the products I create are designed for multiple ages in mind. For example, this product contains simple super large letters of the alphabet that can be colored in even by a toddler who can hold a crayon. Also, this product also contains 16 different dinosaur outlines that can be traced and/or colored. Each is on a separate page and includes the name of the particular dinosaur. Dinosaurs have long names, so these pages can be used to familiarize children with different dinosaurs and even be used for a spelling test where your students have to be able to correctly spell the dinosaurs. Or they could be asked to alphabetize the dinosaur sheets in order. Also included in this awesome dinosaur and alphabet activity pack is 16 different dinosaur outlines to color (one on each page) with the name of the dinosaur spelled out in a font that can be colored in. Dinosaurs included: Acanthopholis Ankylosaurus Dilophosaurus Diplodocus Gallimimus Iguanodon Ouranosaurus Parasaurolophus Pteranodon Saurolophus Stegosaurus Styracosaurus Triceratops Tyrannosaurus Rex Valdosaurus Velociraptor As you can see, the dinosaur names are challenging even for the best spellers, including me! Even though there are no specific questions regarding these dinosaurs in this product, you could assign specific dinosaurs to your older students, to look up and research and write an essay.

Short or Long Vowel? Multiple Choice Quiz + Digital & Print Flashcards
ELA, Language Development, ESL, Phonics, Vocabulary, Spelling, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, Flashcards, Worksheets & Printables
First off, there's a digital quiz. It's a PDF, so you can just pop it up on the screen. Kids get to see a word, and a picture of it, and they have to say if it's a short or long vowel sound. And get this, it tells them right away if they're right! So, they learn as they go. Then, there are digital flashcards. They use the same words as the quiz, so it all ties together. You can even choose if you want them to focus on just short vowels or just long vowels. It's up to you. And if you're more of a paper and pencil kinda person, no problem. There are printable flashcards too. Two different sizes, so you can pick what works best. They have all the short and long vowel words in them. Basically, this thing is perfect for little kids, like preschool to second grade. But honestly, anyone who wants to get better at those vowel sounds will find it helpful. It helps with spelling, and vocabulary, and just getting better at reading in general. It's a really good way to make learning fun, and that's what's important, right?
