About This Product

This PDF file contains 2 practice sheets for students to color their correct answers and can be used for 3rd grade math.  Students are asked to find the unknown in multiplication and division problems.  The unknown could be a factor, dividend, divisor, product or quotient.  Each grid is 4 by 4 and so contains 16 statements with unknowns.  The first grid asks students to color the squares where 2 is the unknown.  The second grid asks students to color in the squares where 3 is the unknown, etc.   The multiplication and division facts for 2 – 9 are covered by the time students complete the 8 grids.  When the students color in correctly a pattern is formed making checking their answers with the included key  a breeze.

Multiplication and Division facts form the foundation for more advanced math concepts, including fractions, algebra, and geometry. If students have mastered multiplication and division facts, they can more easily understand these topics without struggling with basic arithmetic.
