Informational Writing Unit: Animal Adaptations This 7-day language arts unit teaches students informational writing through the engaging topic of animal adaptations. Students read three articles about how different animals have adapted to survive, then use graphic organizers to plan and write an informational essay on an animal of their choice. Also included are an "I Can" goals poster, vocabulary worksheets, maps for students to color as they learn, and more. The variety of activities allows this unit to be used in whole group, small group, or independent settings.
