This ENGAGING Thanksgiving Writing Prompts Unit is designed for 3rd through 5th grade.

Included in this Thanksgiving Writing unit are Opinion, Narrative, and Informative prompts designed to help kids master their writing skills. As students practice their writing skills for each month, season, and holiday, they will improve in all aspects as they learn how to create engaging and interesting writings. These writing prompts are engaging and there are instructions at the top of each opinion, narrative, and informative writing pages to help students master the concepts that align with common core standards. These instructions prompt students to have an introduction, reasons that support their theories, dialog, and conclusions. To help students prepare before they start their writing, they should organize their thoughts with writing organizers.  These writing organizers should be used as tools that help guide students accomplish a detailed writing that meets the requirements for common core.

This Thanksgiving Writing Unit includes 3 Opinion prompts, 3 Narrative Prompts, and 3 Informative / Explanatory Prompts that are centered around fun festive Thanksgiving Activities! Also included are 2 different writing organizer pages for each type of writing prompt.
