Skip counting is a  foundational skill in early mathematics, which is why finding the right, high-quality skip counting worksheets is so important. Being able to skip count provides learners with a strong base to move forward into more complex math concepts and operations such as multiplication, division, and proportions/fractions. Finding quality worksheets online can be a challenge, as many websites do not vet out the material they post. But looking for the right worksheets to practice these skills does not have to be a time drain if you know where to look.

We have pulled together a list of some of our favorite skip counting worksheets for young learners, along with tips on finding the best teaching resources and how to find lessons that won’t break the bank.

Finding Quality Classroom Lesson Plans and Worksheets

Now that we’ve covered the skip counting worksheets, the next question is where to find more quality resources for other subjects, grade levels, etc. Of course, the internet is full of options for printing worksheets. The problem is that many of them are not quality lessons or sheets. One of the biggest problems with finding single worksheets from various sources is that many of them don’t align with core standards, or include information on its learning objectives, making them very difficult to fit into curriculum. Most completely free worksheets fall into this category and while we have found some quality lessons there, the search can be a time-consuming process.

Another option is to purchase single lessons from education websites or teacher marketplaces. In general, the quality of these plans or worksheets will be much higher, as most of them are educator-created or reviewed. Many of these sites have hefty catalogs of lessons for every grade and subject. The downside is that buying individual lessons can be quite pricey.

The last option is to meet in the middle, by joining a subscription website which offers access to a large catalog of high-quality teacher resources for an all-inclusive monthly fee. The affordable subscription allows unlimited access, making it much more cost-effective than purchasing individual lessons. TeachSimple’s subscription site is a one-stop-shop for everything from lesson plans and worksheet packets to activity ideas, classroom decor, and more. Their reasonable subscription gives full access to all of the materials.
