skip counting by 10s bingo - boards 11-15
Math, Patterns, Early Math, Numbers, Grade 1, 2, 3, Activities, Games
Need a fun, engaging activity for practicing skip counting by 10 with your kiddos? This math bingo game is perfect for getting your students focused on skip counting in 10s! Preparation: Print and laminate enough Bingo Boards for each student to have one Optional: print, cut and laminate the Playing Squares Print, cut and laminate the Calling Cards. Lamination is optional, but recommended, as it will ensure that the game remains in good condition and can be used for many years to come! To avoid excessive printing and laminating, the Playing Squares could be replaced with other manipulatives such as buttons or counters. Alternatively, students could mark squares off on their Bingo Boards with dry erase markers and then simply clean the boards again after playing (provided that you have laminated the boards) How to Play: Each student needs a Bingo Board and at least 7 Playing Squares (or other manipulatives or a dry erase marker) Shuffle the Calling Cards and place them in a pile. Draw a Calling Card and call out and/or display the contents of the card. Each student looks on their Bingo Board for a block that matches the Calling Card. If they find one, they cover that block with a Playing Square. Draw a new Calling Card and repeat the process. The game continues until somebody wins. To win, a student must shout out “BINGO!” when they have covered three blocks in a row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally). If the Calling Cards run out before anybody wins, simply shuffle them again and continue playing. Please note: Sometimes there may be more than one block on the Bingo Board that matches the Calling Card. The student may only cover one block on a turn. Once that turn is over, the Playing Square may not be moved to cover a different block. This resource includes 5 different bingo board, in colour as well as black and white. Number Sense Matching Puzzles for Number 3
Math, Early Math, Numbers, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, Activities
Number Sense Matching Puzzles for Number 3 Encouraging early number recognition skills can lay the foundation for mathematical understanding in young learners. This product, aptly named the Number Sense Matching Puzzles for Number 3, provides an engaging means of fortifying these foundational skills. It offers an interactive way to enhance children's conceptual understanding of numbers and fosters their problem-solving abilities at the same time. About The Puzzles: These particular puzzles are uniquely designed for students to improve their comprehensive grasp of the number three. They consist of printable worksheets with puzzle pieces that students need to match and fix onto designated areas on a corresponding sheet, shaping a complete puzzle around the number three. Different Complexity Levels: Lower Level: For new or struggling learners where self-correcting puzzles add guidance, ensuring they can find gaps if they mismatch pieces attributed to different numerical values. Higher Level: Challenges more advanced or fast-learning students by offering identically shaped pieces - this relies purely on counting and matching proficiency without any supporting clues from puzzle shapes. Such structured differentiation ensures that all students can participate at relevant ability levels while remaining challenged enough to retain interest. Versatile Usage: You may choose to implement these printable puzzles as part of math center rotations in class or incorporate them into homework routines – they provide an enjoyable supplement for teaching number recognition and concept development during lessons as well. Owing towards a greener classroom? Opt for using black-and-white printouts instead! Each pack includes options adjustably catering both color as well as monochrome printing preferences. Flexible Incorporation: This educational resource can be flexibly incorporated in various contexts, such as standalone assignments, paired work during group sessions, additional practice material for early finishers etc. Deepening comprehension around basic numeracy concepts starting from individual numbers such as 'three' is the primary goal here. Importantly though it helps evolve learning environments into interactive spaces where education isn't just about answering questions correctly but also about playing, exploring and fundamentally understanding how numbers work.

Writing Center Words & Write-the Room Activity – OCEAN
ELA, Writing, Creative Writing, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, Centers, Activities
Help your students write about life in the ocean with these fifteen ocean themed words and images for your K-2 classroom Writing Center . Words with images include clown fish, crab, dolphin, jellyfish, lobster, octopus, orca, puffer fish, trout, sea horse, shark, star fish, sword fish, sea turtle, and whale. My students LOVE the Writing Center ! I have lots of tools and “help” available for them, plus these themed word pages which they adore. I actually print two of each, so there is no fuss about having to share, and I laminate them before placing in the Writing Center for durability. Having laminated themed word pages, students can easily grab one and use it to help write their stories. Page 4 of the PDF is for the Writing Center . Print and laminate one or two and place it in the Writing Center for your students to access as needed. Also included are 16 cards for a Write–the–Room activity if you choose to use them. (I have only used this with my Kindergarten class.) These cards are four-per-page, with the same words and images used for the Writing Center . Pages 5-8 of the PDF are cards for use as a Write-the-Room activity. You may wish to laminate for durability to be able to use year-after-year, and use sticky tack (poster putty) to mount it to walls, bookshelves, file cabinets, etc. I find this is easier than tape. On of my grade-level teachers prints in gray scale, tapes them up, and then lets students take them home after use. Whatever works best for you. Recording pages for the Write-the-Room are included on pages 9 and 10. Page 9 is a full-size recording sheet, and page 10 has 2 half-size recording sheets if you use mini-clip boards like I do. Please note - the first three pages are for "packaging" purposes.

Kelso's Choices Battle Brackets-A Fun SEL Game
Special Resources, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Special Education Needs (SEN), Social Skills, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Games, Activities
Basketball brackets can be used for anything-not just basketball! In this SEL product, students will get excited about participating in a Kelso's Choices bracket battle! Kelso's Choices are 9 ways to solve small problems. There are 5 different Kelso's Choices bracket templates and one blank one. One of the templates is nonverbal versus verbal choices. This is fully editable as it is a Google Slide Presentation. There are 24 different scenarios for students to contemplate and choose Kelso's Choices for. This can be played as a whole class or small group. To play, you give each group a certain scenario. Then they begin with discussing one of the 2 competitors among the 8 competitor choices. Students keep track of the votes and the winner moves on to the semi-final round (4 choices), then the winners of that, move on to the final round. You could even have all small groups talk about the same scenario and the whole class does a final vote for the winner. It is up to you how you wish to play the game . Some of the scenarios are; someone will not let you play, someone cut in front of you, someone teased you, someone called you a name, someone made fun of what you are wearing, someone accused you of cheating, etc. You can also edit the scenarios to make it work for your groups or class. The key to keeping this engaging and a higher-order activity is to have students say which choice they would use and why. Students can share a time they used that particular choice, when a choice works or does not work, or the best conflicts for each choice. Students can also share a time when a particular choice did not work and that is why they did not vote for it or share a time when a particular choice worked and that is why they voted for it. Have fun with this engaging resource!
