SEL Flashcards for Social Emotional Learning with SEL Coloring Pages

SEL Flashcards for Social Emotional Learning with SEL Coloring Pages
Special Resources, Life Skills, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Social Skills, Special Education Needs (SEN), Speech Therapy, Preschool, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, Activities, Centers, Games, Worksheets & Printables, Flashcards, Worksheets, Coloring Pages

In this SEL product, you will get SEL Flashcards for Social Emotional Learning. You will also get SEL coloring pages because there are two different pages of emotions/feelings. Both pages have a black and white version and a color version. The black and white version allows your students to color their own faces and images. The emotions listed are; happy, sad, silly, proud, shy confused, scared, excited, angry, tired, loving, sick, disgusted, cry, jealous, disappointed. These flashcards can be used for so many purposes. I have used these flashcards for Go Fish games where the students have to ask for a certain feeling. You will need to make two copies of the colored emotions poster to make this game work. If a student asks for "angry" and the student they asked has it, that student give the card to the one who asked and that student places the match down on the table and names a time they felt angry. I have also used this resource for memory games. You would, again, make two copies of each emotion. Then you would mix up the cards and place them face down (I would highly recommend cardstock) in a random order. Students then would choose two cards and reveal the emotion cards. If they are a match, then the student can share when they have felt that way. If it is not a match, they would place the cards face down again the the next student would take a turn. This is a fun and interactive game but also helps students discuss their feelings in a non-threatening way. This resource can be used as a whole class activity where students color their flashcards and then cut them out. They can randomly pick a card and name a time they felt that way. This can also be used as a center activity for Go Fish or Memory (as I described above). The ways to use these Emotion SEL Flashcards are endless!

Oral Blending Picture Cards and Activities Black and White Only
Special Resources, ELA, Special Education Needs (SEN), Language Development, Phonics, Reading, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, Activities

Oral Blending Picture Cards and Activities Black and White Only This is a resource specifically developed for educators involved with students who find it challenging to acquire accurate reading skills. It comprises three unique activities reinforced by visual aids, engineered to enhance oral blending skills. Oral blending often functions as the essential stepping stone in mastering word pronunciation in written text. By honing this skill, students struggling with sound perception can see immense improvement, mitigating issues like guessing words or inaccurate reading due to insufficient phonic familiarity or improper prior blending practice. The Complete Package 48 large colored picture cards: Consisting of mixed sounds and CVC words. 48 small picture cards: Available in both color and black & white versions, featuring complex sound mixtures and simpler CVC words. Diverse Baseboards: Offer a variety of learning tools. Potential Applications This product has diverse uses including but not limited to being a homework supplement; a useful tool for Special Education Needs (SEN), speech therapy resources amongst others thereby maximizing its practical utility across various learning settings such as whole group lessons or tailor-made tutoring sessions designed for initial blend training among young learners or remedial intervention amongst older children still grappling with fluent reading abilities. Aiming at Actual Understanding Over Rote Learning The Oral Blending Picture Cards work towards guaranteeing learners truly decode rather than simply memorize when progressing on their journey towards literacy success. The cards segment the sounds within each word while simultaneously helping blend them back together preparing the learner for successful decoding into text form. As these activities predominantly target auditory capabilities over reading abilities, rote memorization of letters and their sequences is discouraged thus fostering efficient cognitive understanding regarding the relationship between letters and sounds.

Math, Patterns, Early Math, Numbers, Grade 1, 2, 3, Activities, Games

Need a fun, engaging activity for practicing skip counting by 2 with your kiddos? This math bingo game is perfect for getting your students focused on skip counting in 2s! Preparation: Print and laminate enough Bingo Boards for each student to have one Optional: print, cut and laminate the Playing Squares Print, cut and laminate the Calling Cards. Lamination is optional, but recommended, as it will ensure that the game remains in good condition and can be used for many years to come! To avoid excessive printing and laminating, the Playing Squares could be replaced with other manipulatives such as buttons or counters. Alternatively, students could mark squares off on their Bingo Boards with dry erase markers and then simply clean the boards again after playing (provided that you have laminated the boards) How to Play: Each student needs a Bingo Board and at least 7 Playing Squares (or other manipulatives or a dry erase marker) Shuffle the Calling Cards and place them in a pile. Draw a Calling Card and call out and/or display the contents of the card. Each student looks on their Bingo Board for a block that matches the Calling Card. If they find one, they cover that block with a Playing Square. Draw a new Calling Card and repeat the process. The game continues until somebody wins. To win, a student must shout out “BINGO!” when they have covered three blocks in a row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally). If the Calling Cards run out before anybody wins, simply shuffle them again and continue playing. Please note: Sometimes there may be more than one block on the Bingo Board that matches the Calling Card. The student may only cover one block on a turn. Once that turn is over, the Playing Square may not be moved to cover a different block. This resource includes 5 different bingo board, in colour as well as black and white. If you would like more bingo boards to use for your class, you can find them in my store. I also have other skip counting bingo games available - CLICK HERE to check them out! What is Included: This activity includes an instructional page as well as thumbs up and thumbs down cards. There are also 8 clip cards with various scenarios around kids winning and losing games for students to determine who had a good response and who had a negative response. How to Use: One way to use this activity is to give each student a set of thumbs up and thumbs down cards. The teacher will read the scenario on the card and students will hold up a thumb card depending on if the child in the scenario did the right thing or the wrong thing. A second way to use this activity is to have the students use clips to mark the correct answer for each scenario. Older students who are able to read on their own will be able to complete the activity this way. When to Use: This activity makes a great whole class activity by having students all listen to the scenarios together and hold up the correct card. Sorting non- identical objects - Large Pictures
Special Resources, Special Education Needs (SEN), Math, Early Math, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Activities

The activity involves sorting and grouping different non-identical items, which can be used to develop cognitive skills such as categorization, visual discrimination, and problem-solving. To begin the activity , the learner is presented with a sorting picture. Pictures include in this activity : dog doughnut ice cream bar apple shoes chair butterfly hotdog car rabbit socks happy face The next step is to provide the learner with six corresponding sorting cards, each picture non identical to the sorting picture. The items on the sorting cards may vary in color, size, shape, and other attributes, which allows the learner to practice visual discrimination and identify key characteristics of each category. The learner's task is to sort/group each individual sorting card to the correct sorting picture. This requires the learner to analyze and compare the different items, and determine which picture they belong to based on their similarities and differences. As the learner progresses through the activity , they can be challenged to group the items in different ways, such as by color, size, shape, or texture. This encourages the learner to think creatively and develop flexible thinking skills. This early learning sorting activity provides an engaging and interactive way to develop cognitive skills and promote learning in a fun and playful manner. This activity is easy to create and has large clean and clear of visual distractions which allows the learner to focus on the task at hand. First print and laminate all cards, then cut out the individual sorting cards and velcro to the corresponding picture activity mat. If have a coil binder you can coil bind this activity , or else you can three hole punch the mats and put them in a binder or use binding rings for many years of teaching and learning.
